"okay just be carefull" shadow said and watched him. But he didn't trust him going out on his own so he started to follow him. As he padded after him he made no sounds and he seemed to dissappeared into the shadows whenever Tyson turned around.

Tyson didn't want to learn from Shadow. Most Alpha's didn't come with a class degree. Hazel herself said that Shadow had been the lowest of the low when he became Alpha. He shook his head, he was sure that Shadow was following him in the bushes and he could probably read minds above everything else.

Then out of the bushes on th other side of there territorys came a Alpha wolf. You could tell that he was a Alpha by the scares on his side and the way he looked at you. He smerked when he saw Tyson and then shadow in the bushes, "well looks like I found a nice place to take over."

Shadow didn't care if Tyson saw him now, he came out and growled. "Balin leave this place." he growled to his brother

Tyson knew that he was an enemy, so he growled as well. A thought struck him. Dryad! She said if we ever needed help, we could call on the trees! He focused on the tree next to him. Dryad! I need you to drive this enemy out!

Balin growled "well it looks like I get to take out a loser and his son today." he said as he ran at Tyson since he wasn't moving.

Shadow growled and ran at Tyson and shoved him out of the way and let Balin attack him instead. "get out of here Tyson, go back to Hazel and everyone out of here" he yelled as he fought Balin "I am not sure if I will be able to fight him off so get out of here"

Dryad fortunately heard Shadow's command. She flew to Celest, where she was dozing in the sun. "Young wolf, your brother and father are in a battle, your father requests you leave." Celest jumped up and told Hazel. "Come on, we have to go help!" Hazel, Umay and Celest ran into the forest following Dryad.

Tyson was scared, Shadow was fighting a wolf he had said was called Balin. He wanted to fight, and he hoped Dryad would arrive soon.

Balin soon was ontop of Shadow but shadow managed to shove Balin off of him and away form Tyson. He was bleeding a little bit but he still stood strong. "well it looks like the little weirdo actually amounted to something" Balin said as he got to his feet and looked at Shadow. "but your still not fit to be in a pack so I am going to take over yours." he said with a laugh. Shadow growled and planted his feet inbetween Tyson and Balin. "you are not geting my Pack brother, not now not ever. I am not going to let you even kill my son, he is the next in line not you. so back off" shadow growled and charged at Balin and the fighting continued.

but we're not blood-related. Tyson thought miserably.

Hazel screeched to a halt a little outside the place where they were fighting. "Ok, can you two go get Tyson while I help Shadow?" "Sure." "be careful" Dryad said, following Hazel.

Hazel was comeing over to them just in time to see Balin take Shadow by the scruff and throw him agenst the ground. You heard a snap when shadow landed on the ground. Shadow growled and got to his feet but stayed off his one back paw. Balin laughed at him and how he still wanted to fight. Shadow growled and smiled a little bit when he was Hazel.

Hazel growled and leaped onto Balin's back, ripping at his fur. She hoped Shadow was alright, maybe he could still fight.

Tyson was frozen when Celest and Umay found him. Umay started herding him toward the bushes, while Celest spoke to him. "Come on Tyson, we're nearly there, nothing's wrong, it's just a dream..." Tyson was frozen, only much pushing got him to move his legs.

Balin yelped a little bit but tryed to get Hazel off of him. Shadow managed to jumped onto Balins back too and they pined him to the ground. Balin snarled under there weight and yelled "you are no alpha if you need the help of your mate" shadow snarlled and bit into his fur a little bit "I am a alpha, a different kind of alpha then you and a better one then you will ever be."

Hazel snarled at Balin, hoping that he was just a rogue that wandered and would leave them. She noticed gratefully that the cubs had gotten Tyson out of there.

They were half way there when Tyson snapped out of it. "What are we doing?!" He said, trying to run back. "We have to go and fight!" Dryad appeared in front of him and restrained him. "your mother and father have taken care of the enemy while you were nuetralized. calm yourself." As Tyson realized what happened, Celest and Umay noticed a change around him. "I'm....... weak." Tyson's figure seemed to shrink and he padded slowly home.

When hazel snapped at him his ears flatend agenst his head and he whimpered a surrender. Shadow smerked "now leave this place, brother, and never show your face here." he said as he got up and let Balin get up. Balin nodded and slowly made his way off of there territory with his tail between his legs. Shadow smiled, happy that she had come when she had.

"He's your brother?" Hazel asked Shadow, amazed.

Tyson looked defeated the rest of the way home. "Tyson... relax, ok? Everyone get's scared in battles sometimes." "Especially the first one!" "I'd be scared if I was in your place. " "Me two!" Tyson didn't reply, but his thoughts were in turmoil. "Tyson, snap out of it. I know you can hear me." Celest said. They were back at camp now, and he went into his den and curled up, looking smaller than ever.

"yes he is, he use to torture me because of my eyes when I was little. But now I can defend myself." he said as he managed to walk over to Hazel side and kept weight off of his broken back leg

"well, try to stay off that leg, I'll fix it when we get back." Hazel said.

Celest and Umay were talking to Dryad. "What are we going to do about Tyson?" Umay had asked. "I've never seen him this upset, we have to do something." just give him some time. He'll recover.

Shadow nodded and started to limp his way back to the cave

Hazel saw the cubs. "Celest! Did you get Tyson back?" "Yeah, but he doesn't want to talk to anyone." Hazel wondered what she meant, so she left Shadow and went into the den.

Shadow managed to get to the edge of the cave and layed down. He licked his wounds for a little bit then layed his head down on his paws. He was tired and needed to sleep or something. But he sayed awake because he wanted to make sure that Tyson was okay because he was the future of there pack if he died.

"Tyson? Tyson, what's wrong, were you hurt?" Hazel came down into the cave and found Tyson lying there. "Tyson, honey, what's wrong?" She asked, sitting down next to him. "... nothing." "I can tell something is wrong now spit it out." Tyson sighed and turned away.

Shadow heard Hazle trying to talk to Tyson and got worryed. He made himself stand up and walk in "are you okay Tyson?" he asked as he limped over to Tyson to check him over for any wounds.

"I'm fine." He grumbled. He didn't like Shadow sniffing him, but he didn't want to move. "Shadow, I think Tyson's feeling poorly right now. Let's leave him for awhile." Hazel suggested, sensing her son needed some alone time.

Shadow nodded and limped out the of the cave. He managed to get to a patch of sun and layed down happly. He would have to talk to tyson later since he couldn't protect the pack properly with his leg all broken.

Celest and Umay went into the cave when their parents left. "Please leave." Tyson said when he heard them enter. "Tyson, we just want to make sure your ok." Celest said, curling up next to him and putting her tail on his shoulder. "Yeah, we were worried." Umay did the same.

Shadow found himself falling asleep in the sun after a bit.
