Hazel padded over and fell asleep next to him.

"Are you sure?" Umay asked in desperation. "Yes. it is the only way I can improve." "When will you leave?" "Hopefully tomorrow morning." Tyson had told them that he planned to go on a journey and train to be stronger. "But Tyson, you'll be killed!" "No, I will be very careful, I promise." His sisters burried their noses in his fur and all three of them fell asleep.

Shadow woke up right when the sun was going down and decided to see if Tyson was okay and if he could talk with him. He got up and made sure not to desturbe Hazel and limped over to the cave. he saw the three sleeping togeather and smiled. He picked Tyson up gently and made sure not to wake up the others. Then limped a little ways away from the cave. Then sat Tyson down and smiled. "I need to speak with you little one." he said softly so that he could gently wake up the little pup.

Tyson flicked his ear squarely in Shadow's nose, and didn't care what he thought about it. He wasn't getting up.

"I know your awake but just please listen." shadow said softly and was already ready to go back to sleep. "you know that yesterday I made you leave from the fight was not only because I didn't want you to get hurt but also because if anything happend to me you would become alpha. Which my time might be comeing soon" he said softly and you could tell that he was already tired from his voice "but right now I need help, my leg is busted and it will take a while for it to heal. So I need you to be strong and be the alpha for a little while." he knew he was asking a lot from Tyson but right now if any other wolf was around his pack needed a strong wolf like tyson instead of a old wolf with only three legs

All three cubs were awake now, and Celest suddenly had a light bulb go off over her head. Tyson flicked his ear to show he heard and they waited for him to leave.

Shadow sighed "I will go now" he said as he limped out of he cave and back over to Hazel to sleep some more.

They all jumped up and started confressing in whispers. "What are we going to do?" Umay asked. "I have an idea. While Tyson trains, I'll take over that responsibility." "Are you sure? It looks like Shadow really wants me to be Alpha." "And you will be! But you need to get stronger. I will just look after Shadow because he is weak. Then you can come and I promise not to keep Alpha position, just to hand it over to you. then I will become Healer and everything will be fine." "It's brilliant! What do you think Tyson?" "It has to work, but I think you can pull it off."

Shadow soon was back asleep next to Hazel. His leg was hurting a little bit but that was to be expected.

Late at night, when Celest had summoned Dryad, they set off for the edge of the territory. Dryad covered their tracks and soon they were by the mountain. "Are you sure you can handle it?" Tyson asked once more. "We're sure." Celest assured. "Now get going, you wanna make good distance by dawn." "What if Shadow-" "We already discussed that." Umay told her brother. "We talk some common sense into him." "Alright." They said their good-byes and watched as he left. "Tyson!" Umay called. "You look bigger already!" He laughed and sprinted over the mountain. They quickly headed back to camp. "I'll miss him." "I'll miss him too."

Shadow started to have a dream that something was gone and he didn't know what. It was scarey because it felt very important.

They got back into camp with two rabbits at dawn. If anything else, they could have the miserable excuse of hunting. the camp felt empty, but they knew that he would be back. He gave them an estimate five moons, then he would come and check on them.

Shadow was sill asleep but still have the dream that he flet something was wrong and he couldn't find waht it was.

Hazel woke and saw the two girls. "Where is Tyson? Is he still moping?" Her cubs avoided her eye. "Where is Tyson?" Hazel asked more forcefully.

Shadow heard Hazel and woke up. He stood up and limped over to them "where is he?" he asked sternly.

"Will you guys promise not to freak out?" Umay asked. Hazel nodded, so they told her in a rush that, "Tyson thought he was too weak so he felt ashamed and he was really sad then he told us he wanted to go train alone in the wilderness and we said are you crazy then he said, I have to and then we agreed and so we escorted him to the edge of the forest and he ran off into the mountains and instead of Tyson being Alpha, we decided that Celest would take his place until he came back in five months."

Shadow was completely surprised that Tyson would that that he was weak. He was not even slightly. "he is one think headed wolf" Shadow said to himself and looked into the forest. Then looked at the girls "you should have told me sooner, he isn't anything but weak. The only reason I kept him out of that fihgt was because I knew it was a possibility that I would die and I didn't want him to get hurt so that he could lead you."

"He still is gone, and that's that." Hazel said. "Well, they had the right idea, he left someone to put in charge." Celest blushed as much as a wolf can.

Shadow sighed and nodded "yes your right" he said as he looked at celest "well your incarge, you can do what ever you want and you have a lot more resposibilitys." he said as he looked at her "but I think you can handle it."

Celest suddenly felt very lonely. Umay pressed against her sister's side and said, "This doesn't change anything, Come on Celest, let's go hunting." She looked at Shadow. "If it's alright with you."

Shadow smiled "your alpha you can do waht ever you want." he said and licked her head "if you need any help or questions or want to learn something come to me. I will answer any questions or help you learn something anytime you want to learn." he said with a warm smile on his face

The cubs quickly dashed off into the forest, hoping that they didn't make the wrong choice of letting Tyson go.

Shadow smiled and watched them go but inside he was worryed sick about Tyson

Hazel pressed into Shadow's side. "Relax. If any wolf can survive in the wilderness, it would be Tyson. He has an uncanny will to live. so come on, let's go hunting."

Shadow looked at Hazel and nodded "yeah your right" he said

Celest and Umay bounded around. "I wonder where Alex went off too." Umay said aloud.
