Opal's eyes widened.
"Demon?"
Opal's head throbbed so painfully it brought her to her knees.
"Owww."
Opal stood back up, her face flushed and clenched her fists.
"I am not! I'll prove it!"
Opal ran headlong into the field and was stopped dead by a spell. The air around her shimmered gold for a second and she was about to be transported away when suddenly, her body went went rigid. Color flowed down to the tips of her hair, changing her raven black locks to that of a deep blood red. Her red eyes became slitted and her ears became pointed. There was a ripping sound like metal being torn as the angelic spell shattered. Opal collapsed, her hair and ears back to normal.

Ivan ran over to Opal and picked her up gently. "hey Opal you okay?" he asked hopeing that she was okay

Opal's eyes fluttered open and she massaged her throbbing temple.
"Yeah. just a headache."
Opal looked over at hazel sheepishly.
"Ok. Maybe there's a small possibility that I'm a demon..."

Ivan shook his head "no not really" he said softly "if you let me draw a something on you the angels will not bug you. They will just think that your a angel in training, someone who is seeing if they want to become a angel. But it will noly work if you keep your mind clear of evil thoughts."

Opal smiled and chuckled.
"I don't think that'll be a problem."
Opal comically tapped her head.
"It's rather empty in here, the phrase Tabula rasa comes to mind."

(Hmmm. I expected a stronger reaction. There was a hint in there, something along the lines of 'only high level demons can shatter an angelic spell, especially one cast by a powerful angel')

Amiretta raised her eyebrows. "If you're a demon, then you're one strong demon. There are very few who can accidentally shatter an angelic spell. I used to, before I switched side but it took a long time and a lot of energy." Maybe this one can help, too

Hazel suddenly realized something. "Hey! If you can draw something on her, Can't you just draw something on me?" she was a little ticked off. "Well, since we are assuming you are a high-ranking Demon like myself, We're going to have to rebuild your memory a little piece at a time."

"Draw something?" Amiretta asked, still confused. "Oh, and hi Opal. Sorry I was spacing out. Flash back, ya know?" She was really lost about the flashback. What did it mean?

Hazel was really confused. "Ok, every one, shut up. Now, Amiretta, what did you say about a flash back?" she said. She needed to get every thing in order, it was to confusing.

"Well, I just had a flashback aboout this lady, I think it was my mother, holding me and telling me about this... spring." Amiretta smiled at her descriptions of the spring, she made it sound like the most beautiful thing in the world. "It held blessed water that would rouse the sleeping gods who would stop the war and equilize the world, to make everything as it should be. She said it was in the Hidden Lands and one day, someone would find and wake the gods." Amiretta was still lost. What sleeping gods?

please let that be a stupid meaningless daydream. she thought. "Ok then. It has something to do with your mother. Do you have any idea what she looks like?"

"She had sort of short hair that was wavy, same color as mine, green cat eyes with a few wrinkles. She had ears and a tail like mine and and somewhat small raven wings on her feet. She was on the short side but very strong and she was also very beautiful in a sort of panther like way." Amiretta remembered hers mile and felt warm all over, as if someone had just given her hot chocolate on a freezing day.

interestingly realistic. Hmmm. she shrugged. "Well, now we know what we're looking for. Now, Opal, about you being a Dark, don't worry 'bout it. Be proud." She smiled one of her rare smiles. "Besides, stick with me, you'll be fine."

She can smile! "Don't worry Opal, I'm half dark, too." She smiled, trying to reassure him. "Not all darks are like 'evil' or something like that. You could even change sides like I've done. But I'd stick with Hazel for training. She really good and won't teach Lights."

Hazel was a little insulted, but she got over it. A little ironic, seeing that she was going to betray them at one point. "Well, we're wasting time. It's already noon, let's keep going if we wanna reach that town." She started going away from the field.

When Hazel looked stung by her remark, Amiretta was shocked. "Oh, Hazel. I didn't mean you're evil. I don't really like you but you're not horrible." Amiretta was surprised that Hazel even minded but she felt bad for being rude.

Hazel ignored her. She was going to go around, she wasn't being toted around, not while she had a shred of dignity left.

Fine, be that way. Amiretta followed Hazel and wondered about what her dream had meant... probably something bad as far as she knew about omens.

Hazel wasn't in her good mood anymore,so if Amiretta asked, she would go crazy. She was half way around the field now.

Ivan sighed and looked at Hazel "the drawing only works if you dont have evil thoughts in your mind which I don't think you can do." he said then turned to Opal "I wonder if I met you when I was on the dark side." he siad as he thought back to his dark days but then stoped because of all hte pain and suffereing that he had caused. Part of him wanted to go back to those days and be evil again but yet the other part wanted him to stay on the Angel side. He then took Opals hand and took out a tool form his pocket. He drew two wings on her hand and smiled "there you should be good now"

Hazel was really ticked off. Sure, she was the evilest person here, didn't mean- "Oh never mind. Think of it this way, when you get there, you'll be out of this mess." she knew she was mad when she talked to herself. she was soooooooo tempted to leave them on that side of the field, not waiting for them, but hey, there goes her chance of betrayal. "Just leave it Hazel, you can do it." she got to the other side. "Hey? you people coming?!" she hollered across the field.

Amiretta ran across the field because she was starting to get burned. Sun had never done well for her because of her shadow talents. She was very pale and burned easily.

"Curiosity jut got over me, what side are you really on?" Hazel asked. she had been pondering it for the enitre journey, she had to know.
