"Who me?" Amiretta smiled ruefully. She got this a lot from people who didn't really get her shadow powers mixed with the time she spent on the light side. "Well, I'm on whatever side I choose. Right now I'm on light because I feel like it and next time- if ever- I go back to dark, it will be because I feel like it. I don't care about this war and I have no family or friends to protect so whichever side had the best pay is the side I'm on."

"Hmm. Ok." she let it drop. She was now certain that it was just her and Opal, alone that were Darks. She tried and failed miserably to suppress a sigh. Don't worry, I'm sure you'll meet some other people, or these people will stop being such jerks.

Ivan ran across the feild and felt the sun on his back. It felt nice but yet it hurt him. He liked it because of the warm of it yet it hurt him because it told him that he should not be on the light side.

"I swear, can you get any slower?" she exclaimed. "I swear, one day I will leave you!" she said, walking south.

Ivan smerked "your welcome to leave us any day"

"Really?! Why didn't you tell me that sooner?" She smiled. "I would stay, but, you all annoy me. Opal could come if she wanted to. So long!" She made sure that they could all see the diary still in her possesion as she raced off.

(Gya! sorry. My friends unexpectedly grabbed me and I was at a sleepover for two days.

Opal's mind had suddenly been invaded by an alien presence.
"Alien!? How dare you, you filthy little weakling. Your presence is unwanted, GIVE ME BACK MY BODY!"
Opal couldn't move, even though people were talking to her, she tried to move her lips, but it was as if rigor mortis had overtaken her body suddenly. As Hazel began to leave opal's eyes fell on the diary, the presence in Opal's mind went crazy, almost taking control of the body. Opal screamed, no longer paralysed. Opal could feel the presence of two very powerful light creatures close by. This made the thing in her mind even more persistent. Tears began to stream from Opal's eyes as the wing symbol bubbled and disappeared from her skin. Opal grabbed Ivan's arm and looked into his eyes.
"Run!"
Opal threw herself away from them as her body began to change. Her shoulder length black hair grew until it was almost below her knees all the while changing to a deep blood red. A pair of horns making an hourglass shape grew from above her ears, which were now becoming pointed. Her once soft eyes were cold while she pulled off Ivan's jacket and threw it at him. Opal tossed her long red hair as four black bat wings grew from her back. Liquid metal flowed around her body, becoming an intricate outfit of revealing armor. Opal now wore a pair of metal gauntlets that came up to just below her shoulder. A pair of decorative crescent blades grew from the top while a smaller pair grew from near the elbow. An open metal skirt connected in the back with a metal chest piece that barely covered her ample bosom. A long, forked demon tail wrapped around intricate metal knee-high boots. Opal lifted her left hand and summoned a large red-and-black scythe adorned with skulls and crosses. Opal turned and smiled a cold smile at Ivan.
"Hello Ivan. How's life treating you on the losing side?"

(Opal is one of the current Elite dark, she would have met Ivan while ascending the ranks, before she was elite.

Amiretta gasped and stumbled back, immidiatly melting into shadows. She hissed as the seemingly normal Opal morphed into a ferocious and obviously powerful being of the dark. Opal had seemed almost in pain before this... thing had burst out of her; was this who she was or was it some other precence that had lodged itself in the poor girl. Amiretta slid quickly across the field and into Ivans shadow.

RIght when Ivan saw what was happening to Opal the old him started to bubble inside him. He rememberd her well, he even had dated her when he was on the dark side. His nice eyes started ot turn dark and sinister and he clucked his head. It hurt like hell as his old self wanted ot come out and play. He turned to Amiretta and said "get away from me." His hair started to show red in it and he started to grow claws. "yes life it good" he said as he clucked his head then the meltal block he had on his other side broke. Ivan stoped clucking his head and he riped of his shirt and laughed a sinister laugh "yes like is good but not as good as it use to be." he said as he looked at Opal. His voice now held a sinister tone to it and he looked like a killer. "long time no see my dear friend and I must thank you for breaking that seal on me."

Amiretta swam into the darkness behind Ivan staying far from his shadow which had become hostile matter. Sothis is what the real dark side is like... Amiretta had played at being evil but she had never truly felt a joy in killing, a rapture in hurting others. Is this what my mother is like? Ivan and Opal had seemed so... nice. Repentant in Ivan's care and now it was as if they were new people- reborn into grotesquely evil beings. This is who I used to serve. This is what I might have become if I went too far.

Ivan turned to Amiretta and for a second he looked like his nicer self and said "get away from me I dont want to hurt you" but then it was gone and he evil Ivan was there. He smerked and said "if you want to know this is the oringinal Ivan, the one you knew is now gone and he will never will return." but what he said wasn't true. The one Ivan that Amiretta was there just traped under a seal.

Amiretta ignored Ivan's advice and- in her shadow form- moved toward him "Ivan," she whispred. "I know you're there. Please come out. Is this really who you want to be? Do you honestly want to spend your life hurting innocent people and bullying those weaker then you like a child? I'm disapionted. I always thought you were more mature then that. She was terrified, the sun stung her shadow self. He couldn't phisically hurt her but she knew that Elite Darks were top class mind breakers and this was not the time she wanted to lose herself.

Ivan shook his head and snarled "your Ivan is gone, he will not return." Evil Ivan yelled. BUt her words had reached her Ivan and he started to try to break free of the seal. But it was hard and he could not break it. So he sent Amiretta message that would only be heard in her mind "Stay away, I can't break the seal" The evil Ivan didn't know what the other Ivan did and just glared at Amiretta.

Hazel had seen the transformation, but from now on, it was every one for them selves. "Well, good luck! Nice knowing there were Darks on the team!" she bounded through the woods, joyfully aware that they were in trouble. She stopped after a while and took out the Diary. "Good thing I left, We go west after this!"

Amiretta heard Hazels sweet goodbye but was too busy fearing for her life to care although she was vuagely annoyed she'd have to hunt the Darkling down later and jump her for that book. "Please wake up! I know you're in there Ivan and I know you can break out. I don't want to die but if you don't come out... well, this will be my swan song." She whispred to the trapped conciousness. He shadow heart was throbbing as the sun engulfed her and she wondered if she would be killed by monster Ivan or the sun first.

"Hmm. It's a bright day out." she commented to herself. She was padding south west, vaguely wondering what the others were doing. She jumped over some quicksand and some poisonous bushes and decided she had to concentrate on the road.

Opal had been taken aback by Ivan's sudden reversion to his old self, enough that she misses Hazel's departure. Opal's eyes narrowed in anger as two high level angel's charged from the other side of the field, their flaming swords held high. Opal laughed and smiled at Ivan.
"Glad you're back to your old self. One for you, one for me!"
Opal spun her scythe and slashed the air in the direction of the first angel. The blade ripped a black gash in the air, from which skeletal hands reached and grabbed the angel. The angel was so surprised she was taken completely off guard and screamed as she was pulled into an endlessly dark void, the scream was cut short as the gash mended itself, leaving only empty air. Opal cackled gleefully and punched the air.
"200 points!"
Opal's face fell a bit as she noticed Hazel was no longer with them.
"That self-serving B****!!!"
Opal closed her hand and her scythe disappeared in a puff of black smoke. With the sharpened tip of her gauntlet, Opal opened a vein in her left wrist and began drawing a pentacle in the air with the blood.
"Diprecht. Doh-tehenlo nu-Eryishon. The child to the mother. The river to the sea. Eryishon, hear my prayer."
The floating circle flashed as Opal finished a ring of runes around it's edge, and with a crack the diary fell into her hand.
"Ha! That demon had no idea of what she held. Should she have turned it in to her supervisor she could have shot up through the ranks, maybe even made elite! The lights can never get their hands on this."
Opal paged through to about the middle section where there were two blank pages, she pulled a glass vial filled with silver powder and poured some on the pages. Opal's eyes scanned the pages for a few seconds before she slammed the book with a snap.
Opal shook her head and looked at Ivan.
"I need to get this to the higher ups, something like this could change the course of the war. We cant let that happen. Should you wish to join me you can."

Ivan ran at the angel and one second he was in front of it the other he was in back and the angel was cut in half. Ivan smerked feeling the blood on his hands and yet the good him felt disgusted with himself. He turned to opal and his other self surfaced for a second. but was pushed back by the evil. On the inside of Ivan there was a fight going on between the good band the bad him. Then Ivan let out a scream and his body looked like it was being riped into two. Soon there stood two Ivans, one with demon wolf ears the other with Angel wings. the one with Demon ears smerked and yelled "yes I am free from the good and yes I will always join you Opal" he siad and wlaked over to her. "but call me Ivan no more I am Teivel."

THe Ivan with Angel wings fell to the ground completely exousted from the sepereation. He had only managed to break free of the seal by making a seperate entity for him to be ing. But that had taken a lot fo energy and he could barely move. He looked at The evil him and Opal. He wanted to say something but was to weak from what had happend to.

Amiretta's shadow form was slipping, the sun burning through and sapping her energy. She had seen Ivan separate from the evil being that was inside him only to fall back, to weak to do anything else, not even speak or call out. She hoped neither of the demons noticed her as she slid into the shade, her energy rushing back. She called out to the shadows of the trees and pulled Ivan toward her on a blanket of darkness. "Come on," She hissed to normal Ivan "Let's get away from here, we need to re group." In the oaisis of shadows she gathered the strength to pull them half a mile from the clearing into a calm thicket where they could collect their wits and decide how to continue.

"WHAT?!?!?!?!?! DID I DROP IT SOMEWHERE?!?!?!?!" Hazel had looked down but there was no diary there. "Dang, I might as well go back." She ran through, skimming the ground in search of the diary. She heard screams and saw Ivan split in two. "Wow, that explains a lot." she murmured. She saw Amiretta, the only one who wasn't dripping with blood or splitting in two. She made her way over and said, "If you want to live, forget those two, and follow me." As she tried to get Amiretta to follow her, she suddenly saw some pages. "The diary!" She was furious. "YOU GOOD FOR NOTHING LOW-LIFE THIEF!" she hollered as she realized what was happening. She ran toward Opal and with the skill that she had been taught, nimbly tugged the diary out of Opals hands. "Amiretta, you might want to run now." she said, fleeing.
