Soleil had been staring off at the wall and thinking about the day's events while the PRincess and Tybalt had talked.

However, her head snapped up at the sound of a small dog bark, jerking her out of her reverie. She stood up, thinking to help Tybalt, but it appeared that the Princess had that under control. She sighed and pushed her pale hair out of her eyes and was about to sit down again when she noticed movement in her peripheral vision.

Turning, Soleil saw the stranger gathering up his effects. As, as if he just intended to walk out like nothing was wrong. Soleil could feel that strange fiery feeling build in her chest again. Feeling more bold than she ever had in her life, she walked over to the man, green eyes blazing.

Soleil loudly cleared her throat and then, not waiting for him to turn around, demanded "What do you think you're doing?"

Likewise having noticed the pup saunter out of the infirmary, the young woman thought nothing of the matter, her azure eyes returning back to where they'd been on Tybalt, his response causing her to give a mere mannerly nod. Always having been very proficient in keeping her expressions on lock, to the outside world she did not even seem phased by this. But dwelling a bit deeper, one would find that she felt a pang of conscience, concerned that she'd offended the man.

In response to the sudden uproar across the room, the young heiress glanced toward where the commotion lay, eyes a widened. A bit confused as to what was going on and what she'd apparently been oblivious to during the last five minutes, she inquired Laslatu for clarification.

"Is something wrong? Where are you off to, sir? You still have yet to regain much color, you really should rest,"

Clearly blind to the swelling resentfulness the two men she'd been caring for shared, the young elf, known to be quite artless, had no understanding as to why each seemed to grow angered when ever she conversed with the other. The only logic she could come up with to defend the matter in her own mind was that Tybalt was angered about the hostile actions created by the foreigner, and likewise Laslatu's displeasure in the inventor's virility. In the least case, the resolution she came up with in her mind was not only quite simple, but to any more cosmopolitan mortal, quite irrelevant to the actual issue at hand.

"If you'd like some fresh air from the infirmary, I can arrange for a place for you to lodge as well? After all, until we come to terms with how to get you to your motherland, you'll be needing a place to stay, will you not?"

Already having made up her mind that the man would not refuse this suggestion, the youthful princess gestured for him to follow both herself and Tybalt to guide him to his quarters.

"Lady Soleil, would you be so kind as to help accompany this man?"

She asked gently, her optimism shining brilliantly through her peacock blue eyes.

.: ooc: So it seems? XP :.

EDIT: On second thought, I'll let Adflicta reply first. c:

(ooc-- i'm never jealous! i'm a the toughest tough guy and i know it. >.> <.< >.>
>.< lol)

taken aback by soleil's outburst las spun on his heel and gave her a cold stare.
"i will not be spoken to in such a manner. that tone is what set me off to begin with," he told her, his voice unwaveringly calm, his stare piercing.
"i am going where i please, and if you wish there to be no more incidents in your perfect little utopia, i suggest you leave me to it and go on about your own business. i shall return later, at which time i will take you up on your offer for lodging, princess. until then, goodbye."
he gathered the rest of his things and headed for the door, when he reached the threshold he stopped and looked briefly at tybalt.
"i do hope there's an apothecary you can visit, i hear arsenic does wonders in a wound like that."
with a smile las slid out the door.

{OOC Toughest tough guy you know, huh? No comment. ^.*}

{BIC}
"What a strange aroma..."
Xander thought to himself, appreciating his heightened canine senses as he frolicked through the Garden. This was an unexpected but highly appreciated escape from his recent endeavors... the Steel Hand army had been preparing for the war for months, and lowly attendants such as himself had recieved very little time to themselves.
He could sense the Generals motion inside the castle, but that was to be expected. What was unnerving was this feeling Xander could feel, this... emotion. That just wasnt something he was used to sensing from the cold hearted Laslatu. Atleast he knew he could take care of himself, and just for this moment, Zane allowed himself a moments relaxation, not a care in the world. This, to him, was heaven.

{ooc}: rofl, Adflicta. xD

-grabs Laslatu and snuggles him- I believe in your masculinity! D:

{bic}: Apothecary? "I am the apothecary, you imbecile." Tybalt snarled, tired of the stranger's brusk ways. He watched as the man gathered his things, eagerly wishing he could tell the man just what he could do with those strange, sharp tools of his...

Ty was becoming more and more certain that this man was not from any of the towns or cities nearby. The men in Ty's culture were...well, cultured, and gentlemanly. They never spoke harshly to women and always sought wisdom and knowledge (instead of vengence upon their fellows). This man was very rough around the edges and seemed to care only to look after himself..

Good riddance..

"Leave him, my lady." Tybalt suggested to the Princess, his brow furrowed, "..He neither wants nor deserves your concern."

{ooc}: Yeah, about Ty being the apothecary... xD He's an inventor up front, but dabbles in other trades as well...So in a way he is an apothecary, just not a professional one. xD

Soleil thought about forcing him to stay (after all, she had restrained animals with her powers before; surely a man wouldn't be that much more difficult) but she knew that would only make matters worse.

With a grudging sigh, she primly sat on the bed, nose upturned and arms crossed across her chest. Well, he certainly isn't from around here, Soleil thought. He is much too barbaric!

She turned to the Princess, echoing Tybalt's statement. "Yes, I don't think it's worth it to waste concern over him. He obviously is not one who shares concern for others." Soleil sighed as the man walked out of the door. If he wasn't from here, then where exactly was he from?

Las wandered slowly through the castle corridors toward the gardens that backed up against the forest. i've got to get out of this place and back to my kingdom, he thought to himself. This place is messing with my mind. i am a general of the steel hand. i can't be having these irrational thoughts this place causes.
before he knew it he was out in the gardens. he let out a loud whistle, summoning xander to him.

[ooc--- everyone else can feel free to continue their interactions while xander and i talk.]

He know it would'nt last long... but he'd certainly enjoyed the moments he had. Without a second thought he was off.

Xander was there in seconds; he had realized the summons before ever hearing the whistle, sensing instantly when his general required him. He quickly scanned the sorroundings, ensuring no one else was present to witness his true nature, and once certain they were the only two in the garden he converted back to his elven form as he approached Laslatu.
Without blinking and with no more than a slight nod, Xander softly spoke, "Sir, your orders?"

He knew it unwise to trifle the General's time, and had learned the hard way to speak only when absolutely necessary.

((OOC: I'm going to take my character out for a little bit because I have a very busy week coming up and don't know when I'll have a chance to get on. *shakes fist at exams* ))

Well, what's done is done. The man is gone and it's probably best to just forget about him, Soleil thought to herself. She ran her fingers through her pale hair and stood back up again, her gown rustling.

"Tybalt," she began, nodding her head at him, "and Princess," she said, curtsying, "All of these has quite tired me out. I think I need a little bit of time to recollect my thoughts." She smiled at them, suddenly realizing how fatigued she was.

Not waiting for them to respond, she slipped out the door and down the hallway towards her rooms.

.: ooc: i apologize for my unannounced absence...the "princess" had a bit of a rough evening. :/ :.

With a bit of hesitance, Eira nodded, finally agreeing to go along with the suggestions on Lady Soleil and Tybalt's parts and just not hold concern. It wasn't as if it would matter much if she did anyway: Laslatu had already exited their wing of the palace.

Encouraging Lady Soleil's decision to depart and seek rest, the princess turned back to Tybalt, seeing it highly beneficial that he do the same. Having responded to the general's insulting words with a mere frown, she took care to reassure the inventor that she would see that he be healed to the fullest. After all, she still felt highly guilted for his harm.

Heading toward the doorway as well, she glanced back at Tybalt, giving the smallest of courteous simpers.

"Shall we?"

She asked gently, waiting for him to join her in accompanying the man to his sleeping quarters. Although the palace was no Buckingham Palace, it was quite ornate in decoration. Fine tapestries and dozens of delicately painted portraits and landscapes on the walls to view made it quite easy for one to find them self roaming the hallways for hours at a time. Therefore it was no surprise that the room Tybalt was issued by the maiden be of quite exquisite ornamentation. Silk sheets, an extended window and balcony, and a petite table and chairs set for afternoon tea and what have you.

"Here we are...will this suit you, sir, or shall we look some more?"

"xander, walk with me." las said drawing his bow and heading for the forest, "i need to know what info you have gathered for me while that nasty business was going on." the heavy scent of the flora was starting to make him tingle. he drew his bow and fired an arrow through a particularly fat squirrel without breaking stride. "pick that up, would you?" he felt his eyes getting heavy. "i also would greatly appreciate it if you could offer any wisdom on how to get home." he yawned and put an arrow through another chubby squirrel and watched fall off it's tree branch to the ground. he took a deep breath and looked around. everything was growing. everything was living. everything was fat and happy. everything shimmered with innocence. it was disgusting. wasn't it? of course it was. or was it? he argued with himself for a minute. then looked at the look xander was giving him. then he... giggled? "i need to lay down," he chuckled, "something in the air.... don't feel right....." las leaned up against a rock in clearing filled with a strange flower he didn't recognize, and found his mind wander to the princess. and for the first time in his life, las fell asleep with a smile on his face.

{ooc}: Everything alright, Sonny? D:

{bic}: "We shall." He replied to her invitation while slowly making his way toward the door and the corridor beyond. They walked in comfortable silence as she led him toward his room. Tybalt was happy to take the opportunity to admire the artwork on the walls as they passed, and hummed quietly to himself as he did. How wonderful it would be to have Royal blood! To have the world on a string! True, there would be responsibility with that power, but just think of all the time and resources that would be at one's disposal...

He entered the room after the Princess, his eyes quick to take in the ornate (and mildly feminine xD) decor. His own apartment was not half so frilly or well-accomodated (true, he was a bachelor, and a very messy one at that), so to see the room he was to stay in was something of a surprise to him, "It will suit me just fine, my lady. I thank you.." He nodded to her and smiled.

But that smile faded quickly. He rubbed the back of his head almost apologetically, "..There is something I would like to speak to you about, Princess."

.: oo: yeahhh...just got in a car wreck that's all. o.o :.

Pleased to see that the gentleman was satisfied, Eira gave a slight grin, grateful for his peaceful attitude and response really. She took another glance around the room, realizing that the very nature-esque decor could be deemed a bit too feminine, unable to give a soft, nearly inaudible giggle.

Again, she was grateful for the aid Tybalt had offered to not only herself, but the republic of Aurora Grove for the day.

Hearing his request, Eira nodded, slowly sauntering over to the diminutive table set. She took a seat, eager to give the man her undivided attention.

"Yes? What is it that you desire so much to speak of, sir?"

{OOC SOOO sorry its been so long. I live with people, and I've been doing alot >.< Ill be on more often in the near future though. Just in case, Ill warn you guys, its snowing like mad here, might lose power for an undetermined length of time.}

{BIC}Laughter!? Zander dropped the squirrels unceremoniously and ran forward, running the possiblities through his mind. Again he'd failed his general, watching helplessly as the one man he was most devoted to collapsed before his eyes. Why hadn't he studied these plants more intently? Why the hell were they even here in the first place? Laslatu belonged back on the battle field, commanding his army..... and Xander belonged by his side.

Realizing this distress in the General's aura was only brought on upon leaving the Garden, Xander let out a sigh and conceded to the task at hand. He grabbed the general by the arms, hoisted him onto his shoulders, and carried him back to the garden, then sat down to wait for him to awaken.

Flowers. Sunshine. Warmth. what was this feeling? where am i? las could see himself running through a field of flowers, smiling, laughing, frolicking free. he had never experienced feelings before. not of any kind. he never felt angry, never felt hate, never felt fear. but he had also never felt happiness, never felt love, never felt contentment. all he ever did was calculate and do what had been trained to do. the only thing he had ever known. he had read about feelings, but he had never understood them. but what he was seeing, this field, these facial expressions, this feeling, they must be happiness. the thing so often pursued and so easily taken away. suddenly everything grew dark. it began to thunder and rain, and a new feeling flowed into him. his adrenaline began to flow, but not in a good way. his stomach turned to ice, his breath quickened. fear. it had to be. he heard a horse winny in the the distance. but it had grown too dark to see. he heard hooves at full gallop growing closer and closer, then in a flash of lightning he saw the horse, and upon it sat Laslatu Ironheart, General of the Steel Hand in full armor, splattered with blood, sword drawn, riding straight at him. Las dropped to his knees as this other him, what he knew to be the true Laslatu rode toward him, dismounted, raised his sword and....

Las awoke with a start, sweating and confused.
this place is doing something to me. it's making me feel, it's ruining my reason... but the thought served only to further his point as he was instantly filled with rage as he never had been before.
"i hate this god awful realm!" he roared as he stood. he pulled his blade and spun, lopping the bulbs off of several flowers around him. he stormed back toward the forest as it started to rain, hacking at any plant that hung in his way.

{ooc}: So sorry for not replying sooner, folks! D: I wasn't able to get online yesterday..

{bic}: "I don't think it would be a good idea to trust your newfound...uh, guest, inside the palace." He looked down at the princess pointedly from across the room for a moment before joining her at the little table. Carefully removing his jacket and vest (a rather delicate process because of his wounds), Tybalt seated himself opposite the young woman, "I fear for your life as it is, but to think that I could leave my Princess basically on her own with such a man sulking about...? No." He shook his head, barely giving the woman time to respond, "..He should either be locked up (temporarily, I suppose).."

He paused, knowing that he would regret his next words, "..or he should come with me."

Xander knew the General was upset, frustrated, that he felt trapped and worthless in this pointless realm... but he also sensed the uncertainty, (not to mention the irrationality) in his actions. Unfortunately, who was Xander to point these things out? It was a tough job serving hand and foot to a man who had no need for the advice of such a lowly individual, and it was hard devoting ones life to a man he could never even consider being friendly with. These things were the troubles that kept Xander silent and steadfast day to day.
Assuming someone inside the palace had most likely heard Laslatu's outburst, Xander morphed back to his dog form and made a quick decision. It was unwise to interrupt Las while he was engulfed in such rage, especially when there was still no pressing information to be presented.... so instead of following him into the forest, he decided to wait until the General regained his composure.
For the time being, he headed his little puppy dog tail to the kitchen. Xander felt a keen yearning for a sammich, and was certain the General wouldn't say no to one when he got back.

"Come...with you?" She asked, her tone gentle, yet confusion evident in her voice. She admired the man's care for her safety.

She stood, glancing out the window and contemplating. She knew the man was right; he had a point at least. But after seeing what had happened to Tybalt during the brief period of time that he and the general had been alone...

Slowly wandering over to the balcony's doors, she stepped out to overlook the garden she'd spent her many years cultivating and caring for. "To his homeland you mean, yes?" Glancing back to inside the room, the gown she wore lighting up in the late afternoon sky as the sun began to creep closer toward the horizon, she looked upon Tybalt thoughtfully.

"Perhaps we could arrange a search party?" She suggested. "It would be much more efficient in finding his place of reign, I would think."

Hearing a loud holler from inside the forest, she glanced over towards it briefly, seeing the small dog running back towards the palace. "Well we won't be able to do anything about his being here today at least. Night falls upon us shortly."
