So I guess that's one of the "games" that Gaia normally has...

Well, they did this same game for prom last year, but it was the first year it appeared. And you can't play it any time you want during the year... Just during prom it seems.

I actually really like the prom games. But I do think that the music was better last year; I don't remember it annoying me. (Which a few of them did this year.) I think that I only liked/enjoyed two of the songs...

That prom game is so hard that it annoys me.

I was also reading a thread tonight about how they deliberately keep the good items in the rando boxes - or RIGgs shall we say since they are rigged. It made me want to do nothing more on gaia except bump and play booty grab and never chat again since I have to be in too much of a hurry to keep up with the new rare items. > n <

I'm really not "built" to do well in the DDR game. I can do decently if there is only one arrow to account for at a time. But when I'm asked to do ^+> I just cannot do it. I don't even try.

50% is do-able (not on all levels, but I managed to get two items so far). But 80%? Can't manage that.

I liked one of the songs I listened to, but I got frustrated trying to navigate around the different rooms to find the ones I wanted. So I exited out.

I'll likely wait until closer to the end of Gaia Prom and buy the items I like off the Marketplace when everyone who is good at the games has used all 095095 accounts they have to get the items. :B

I don't really like the songs all that much either. I think I liked the songs that they had in the last dance prom more. I have four songs left to beat. When people enter the room it starts lagging for me sometimes, which is annoying. The Chicken Yodel seems to be the hardest.

It's funny... you all are talking about the songs, and I'm thinking "what songs"?

I have my computer muted most of the time (mainly because of the stupid Snake game on Menewsha). So I was merrily playing the Gaia game, just watching the arrows, and not even listening to the songs.

I finished up all the the rest of the songs and they weren't that bad. By which I mean they weren't too hard to beat. It was the Chicken Yodel that kept tripping me up. Then I was moving through the GCD and read where someone said that it's actually easier if you turn the sound off.

... And it worked. o.o ... And I got my barrel. :B

@Captain Howdy - Same here, I was reading some threads on Gaia and people mentioned the dance games working better if you had the sound off. I tried it out and now I only have the Chicken Yodel dance left. I don't really want the barrel but i'll still give it some more tries.

I'm having a problem on gaia where I recently changed my password and so I usually forget and put it in wrong the first try.
But lately whenever I put it in wrong just once I have to wait 15mins because it says I've tried to log on too many times. Which makes me think that someone is trying to get into my account :S

They might be, but if your password is strong you should be ok. It could be something innocent someone just mistyping their username so ending up entering yours instead. If their browser auto-suggests things like usernames they'll end up repeatedly trying your name instead of their own.

We had that happen on here a week or so ago, found an email on support that had been bounced back from a dead account, about multiple login failures. But when I checked into it it was just someone missing a letter out of their own username by mistake.

It's unnerving I know if it looks like someone's been trying to force your account, but as long as you have that strong password you should be safe. Oh and that second line of defense of an email that isn't the same as your username, or if it is, a good strong password for that too.

Because hackers will try and guess your email and force that too to be able to change your account password and lock you out of your email account at the same time!

I finally logged onto Gaia after succumbing to my curiosity of what the Prom items were. The rooms I went into were usually all user-free, though I guess it's because I'm entering the event so late after it's happened that most of the users have already finished it all. The Chicken Yodel song was a total nightmare...it was the only song I failed on my first try and I totally hated the lyrics (if it can even be called that with its senseless clucking noises...). I think that last year's songs were better as well, I'm regretting how I didn't bother to write down the names of the songs; I want to find them and save them into my laptop to listen some time. :P I can still remember most of their tunes too, while I payed barely any attention to this year's because they were so horrible and not catchy at all.

The items were okay though. While the suit and the hat weren't in the colors I'd like, the sparkles and bouquet were pretty nice. I barely paid attention to what I got and went as fast as I could through the songs and then just signed off again and back onto Mene. :XD

I did one song in the Aquarium room, and never tried any of the other rooms.
The 80% song in the aquarium room was enough to make me decide it wasn't worth it.

Please, don't do anything like that on Menewsha...

Yeah Thulhu, that happens to me a lot actually. I have a strong password, so I don't worry about it too much, but I'm pretty sure it's someone trying to get into my account. I'm not even that active on Gaia anymore, and yet, people still manage to find my 2003 account. :(

lol I agree. I hope to the Gods that Mene's proms (if we ever hold one) will never be like that of Gaia's...

I was tempted to ditch the prom event in the Aquarium as well, but in the end my curiosity for the items won out and I (somehow) managed to complete all 10 of the (quite horrendous) songs. x___X

they aren't too great.
I just keep thinking that eventually there will be everything imaginable on gaia and they'll have to start giving out those plastic six pack rings that birds get caught in :XD

It's true. I've kinda gotten bored with Gaia....
Once you have most of the stuff, there's nothing else. I've never really "met" anybody there who was worth talking to. I chat with many more people here...

I didn't mess around with the Prom event at all... tried playing the DDR-ish game once, realized I have no skill with it whatsoever, and called it quits.

Lately, I've only been signing on to Gaia when I get the urge to play Booty Grab. xD
