I'm from Gaiaonline.
I was going there moments ago, and put in gaiaonlin.com and got transfered here.
Odd.
But I like how the site looks So I joined it.

But if anyone would like to talk on gaia, or needs help.
I'm rather rich and would love to donate.
Klepto Chibi is my name on there as well.

LMAO, that gave me both quite a laugh and a surprise in equal measures. I am quite curious now as to who came up with such an idea, as it is quite ingenious.

I don't know.
The whole....gaiaonlin.com thing seems.....wrong to me.
I mean, it's better than some Gaia look-alike site that steals all of your login information, but.....it just seems low to me for some reason.

But other than that, I do go on Gaia every day. But it's mostly just to change my avatar, feed my fish, check the Daily Chance, etc.
(This is Heruuna, btw.)

Haha. You guys are way too tight.

Have you ever wondered why google has claimed google urls in many variants?
It's so stuff like this wouldn't happen. Seriously, try it. Type in gogle.com, or gooogle.com.

If Mene could buy the site name, then why couldn't Gaia? After all, Gaia has quite a bit more money then us. This is probably some of the cheapest advertising we've gotten.
I think people shouldn't be so self-righteous when they use this site. ESPECIALLY if you don't donate. You're using this site for free, using up bandwidth and still expect the mods and devs to do stuff for you.

I like Gaia a bit more than Mene cause you can get gold easier haha.

But this place has snake so i dont know, every hard to compare then =p.
lol

i have to say though, all the new stuff they have got on gaia is kind of confusing. I rmemeber it before all the new stuff came in. all the funky grovvi drop down menus and the messenger and gaia cash etc. I reli liked it then. i've played it less since they added all that stuff.

Buying up mis-spelled URLs is very common business practice actually, an enormous amount of websites do it. More fool Gaia for not grabbing the ones that could have benefited them.

Hmmn, it just sounds odd is all. XD
Maybe it's just because anymore, I equate Gaia with nothing but trolls and haters.
And then I think about them coming to Menewsha and blah, blah, blah.
*Sigh*

The thing is though, when the trolls come here they get banned pretty much instantly, which shocks them somewhat  They're used to being able to run amok, which they can't do here. Because of the monitoring system that we have, we can catch them the second they post, and they're often banned and their thread deleted before any other user has even seen it xD That gives them something to think about.

The only time that I'll leave one to run free for a while is if I'm looking for a bit of entertainment, but if their trolling isn't up to standard I make sure to let them know how lame they're being in the message that they see that tells them that they're banned.

The mods are fast at banhammering all trolls and such. I saw a pretty bad post on spy, went to see what the heck was going on, and by the time I got to the thread, he was already banned.
xD;;

I'd love to see the looks on their faces when they get banned.

I had a hard time holding in my laugh at this post xD (I had some tea in my mouth) Awesomeness, Jelly! (and all the other mods and staff out there!)

This is one of the reasons why I just love this site, rule-enforcing against trolls and spam are always nearly instantaneous when a staff is online, and most of the time there's always at least one staff here xD

I wish GaiaOnline could have their forums enforced like it is on Mene, it would've made posting on there a much better experience D:

I actually recently applied to be a mod on Gaia, since they totally need them; it's been a week since I submitted, and I haven't heard a thing. Not even a "we got your application" email or PM. Apparently "they respond when they respond" and "if you can't be patient about something like this, how can you be a good moderator?" GHREJGFADKLGLFDAKL!#*%[email protected]*)^(%#!*@($!!! Oh, and some people don't hear anything for up to six months after they submit their applications.

...sorry, had to vent.

Haha. Yeah. I got an e-mail after sending a second Inquiry to Gaia about my banned account that said something along the lines of, "Your case has been read and that we will have a Moderator sort this out later." By 'later', they probably meant, 'whenever a moderator can get off his or her ass and be bothered with your case', because it's been quite some time and I haven't heard a thing. The first time I sent an Inquiry? They gave me an automated response blaming everything on myself for 'botting' (which I sure as hell did not do) and basically told me to piss-off-and-go-make-another-account without using the actual words. So yeah. They're pretty slow and are just about reluctant with responding to anything they've got. How they expect to maintain the site like this still confuses me. *sigh*

Well, after today I think I'll spend more time on Mene. No hackers that report you for reporting them here. i got banned just because someone sent me a harrasing PM. Sorry I had to vent. :(

Ouch. That sucks. D:

Though I doubt that even if someone does report you here out of spite, the staff would do anything like ban you for it. They look into cases here, unlike Gaia, so you wouldn't have to worry about being wrongfully banned on Mene. :)

9 out of 10 cases I've heard about so far (including my own), you won't be getting your account back. Many of the users I've talked to there have accounts that had been banned for years without any word from Gaia, despite their constant appeals. Some of them even got warnings for sending 'too many' Inquiry forms, despite them having only sent the appeals again after months without any word from the staff. :(

This is my current avi on Gaia:

As much as I hate the money-hungryness of Gaia, it's still fun to play around in the CB; that's pretty much the only reason I stay.

However, this place has such cute clothes! ;_;
But it's so hard to earn gold. :(

I second the motion, I am oddly finding this thread is increasing my opinion of Menewsha quite a bit. Both the gaiaonlin.com thing and this response from jellysundae have amused me greatly.

Edit: Why is the name jellysundae a link, and a link to a page which I do not have the privileges to access at that O_o

It's the beginings of the wiki they are working on. it will do it for staff and NPC's. i guess it will eventually show info on them etc. Just ignore it for now XD

Cool thank you for the information. Although at the very least I can learn how to pronounce their names. Haha for all the good that does.

je-lly-sun-dae

[ jeh-lee-soon-dye ]

This one surprised me a lot, as I was expecting it to be pronounced the same as Jelly Sunday. Although I can only wonder how much differences in accent are to blame. (Lol do I suck at ignoring something or what)

LOL. It is meant to be pronounced "Jelly Sunday". XD

It's a bit of an in-joke. Only the Assistant Administrators and our Admin have access to the Wiki right now and we started testing it out by teasing each other. See also: Tre le Coco

You should read what it actually says in the Wiki entry for Jellysundae. (Er, not that you can, of course.) Jelly thinks we're mean. :3
