Even though Aderith smiled sweetly and nodded, she had to admit that someone not being hungry was certainly an odd thing.. but then again, so was this 'Link' person. Ader closed the door to her home before being ushered away and forced to sit down at her table. She sighed, smiling, and watching Link move to serve her her food. Once served, she picked up her small utensils, beginning to eat as she looked at the paled being before her.
"I've been wondering," she began honestly, quietly. "What exactly are you..?" She wasn't trying to be rude in any way, but she needed to know. Not only was his appearance a little startling, but she had never seen anything like him before! "I'm sorry," she said suddenly. "I should have asked that! That was very rude, I'm sorry.. You don't have to answer.."

"No, its alright, you do have a right to know if I'm going to spend time with you, I'll tell you" he took a deep breath, then began to tell his tale.
"Two years ago, I was in a great battle to save my homeland and even the whole planet from certain doom, from my enemy, Ganondorf. We were both blessed with a mighty power..." He held up his left hand and removed his glove, the Triforce was imprinted in his pale skin, it began to glow and then it faded out. He put back on his glove. "In the battle I managed to kill Ganondorf, but not without a heavy cost, before his death he stabbed me in the chest. Right in my lung. Ganon's power was taken from him by the ones who created the Triforce, and that power has helped me live this long today.
I awoke a day later after the battle, my blood was all over the ground leaving me pale like this, but I still have a little. You don't want to hear anything else after that, trust me. I've separated myself from my friends and my own land because of the way I am now. Sometimes I wonder if my name has ever been mentioned there at all over the years. It hurt me to leave but I just had to... I can never show my face there again..." A tear fell down his face when he thought of his friends and all the memories they shared, "my friend, Zelda, to this day I wonder if shes alright or if she even still remembers me."
He sniffled and wiped away another tear, "I've been traveling the world ever since I left my home, helping those in danger like I used to when I was alive. Sensing an imminent doom here in Holodum is why I'm here... I don't know when it will start or if it ever will, but I go wherever I sense danger, no matter what." He waited for her to absorb everything he said, not really sure if she'd believe him. "I also have something else to show you, but I'll wait till you're done with breakfast" he was ready to show her his friend, Midna, hoping she wouldn't be very frightened of her.

Link's story, though long was certainly a sad one. This was why Aderith told him it wasn't necessary to answer. Her eyes watered a little, scanning to watch Link's face as he cried but just a little bit. She wanted to comfort him in some way, but she wasn't qualified to do that.. not now. Plus, they still didn't know each other all that well, and she was in no position to be acting like a friend; she clearly wasn't one.
"I'm sorry," she said finally, coming to the conclusion that at one point in time he was a great man. "Th-that is so.. unfortunate.." But what about the news that her homeland was in danger? What could possibly want to bring harm, pain and despair to Holodum? "But why would anyone want to come here? We have never done anything big or amazing.." It also wasn't like Holodum was a major village either.

"There is a kingdom a few hundred miles from Holodum, called Lybrynaa, I sense danger from there and it wants to come over here and take over. They probably want to expand their land... and Holodum looks like a good place to destroy to them, but, I'm just saying, they're the most dangerous right now to all of Holodum's inhabitants. I could be exaggerating for all I currently know, but I'd keep my guard up if I were you..." He stood up and walked over to the window, he looked outside, watching all of the village inhabitants walk around, going about their business, he sighed. "This all must be very hard to believe to you..."

Lybrynaa. Lybrynaa had never been a very friendly neighbor, she had to admit that. The soon to be king, Prince Dioclese had been speaking of expansion for years. Since he was a prince, he had no power to make this decision on his own. He was an extremely picky young man, never sought interest in a woman who wasn't drop dead beautiful in his eyes. He had amazing taste for women, too, but he had told many people that never had he found a woman worthy of his love in beauty. Basically, he was a pimp.
"I don't think it's Lybrynaa.." But it easily could be. She could never tell anyway.. There were so many surrounding kingdoms now that she thought about it, who could easily expand onto them..
(I has a sort of idea! O: )

"Really?" He asked curiously, "do you know more about Lybrynaa?" He walked back and sat in his chair, still curious if Ader knew anything useful about the threatening kingdom.

(Should I PM it to you? O: )
"Well, no.." She felt stupid now for denying the kingdom so easily. But she had to admit, it just didn't seem like Prince Pimp would attack Holodum without warning. Prince Dioclese was all about drawing attention to himself.. why should now be the exception to something different? "I just don't think that Lybrynaa would make a move like that so suddenly.. That's all."

((If you want to, go ahead :P))
He sat back and tried to think, "I came here to stop an incoming disaster, but don't know who will start it... ugh, this is giving me a headache" he held his forehead. He sighed, "lets just wait till later to ponder about this, its too early..." he, once again, put off introducing Ader to Midna, at least for now.

Ader sighed. She was in no mood to be eating now.. "Alright," she said simply, placing her smallish utensils on the table, propping her chin on her hands so that she could think, hopefully more clearly about the current situation at hand. After all, if was a very important one. And this made her so frustrated! What good was Link if he could only tell her what was wrong? She needed to know what was making it wrong.

"Well, we can say this, Holodum is in danger of being destroyed and used as extra land by the oncoming enemy, we have no idea who will attack though and when..." He sighed again, but he returned to feeling calm, "I'll be here though, ready to fight till I can't any longer, for you and Holodum." He gave her a serious smile, "its what a hero does, fight for others that he hardly even knows about" he stood up once again, "I was wondering... since I'm a newcomer, do you mind showing me around Holodum?" He waited for an answer after he walked over and leaned against the wall by the door.

Ader, though still baffled with the idea of anyone wanting to harm her small kingdom, suddenly looked up, eyes following the pale, diseased looking man. "You want me to show you around? The thought made her smile a little bit, though she had to wonder what the fellow villagers might think of her escorting around a man who looked like hell itself if there was one.
"I'd love to," she said after a moment. "But I have to change first.. I can't go out like this. Do you mind?" Of course he wouldn't. It wasn't like it was a big deal or anything.. But since her home was basically consisting out of one room, well.. he'd have to step outside.

"Oh, yeah, sure, I'll wait outside for you" he laughed nervously and blushed a little bit, then he opened the door and stepped out, he slowly closed it behind him. He sighed and folded his arm, leaning against the wall by the door, he waited for Ader. He could feel the villagers staring at him, a bit scared of him in all truth, but he ignored it, everyone is judgmental and everything they could possibly be thinking would be untrue.

Ader made quick work of the clothing that she had picked out for herself. Nothing armorish, as she really didn't see the need for it today. Just some pants and a tunic of some sort. She still looked quite lovely in it, either way.
Emerging from the home, she smiled, poking Link in the arm all friendly like. "Done," she said cheerily, brush in hand, beginning to brush out the fine brown hair. It was long.. lush. She actually quite liked her hair. "Are you ready?" She asked him with a small smile.

"Always ready" he said, but he looked away a little bit, blushing slightly, he realized that she was truly beautiful and it made him a bit nervous to be with her all of a sudden. "Uhh... would you mind if my friend joined us on the tour?" He was finally going to introduce Midna to her, so he waited for a response before he'd call her.

Ader took a moment to think. "But you didn't have anyone with you yesterday." Oh well, what did it matter, right? "Sure," she told him simply. "I don't mind." Whoever it was, hopefully this person was more normal than he was. Sure, he was decent.. Just obscenely pale and creepy on too many levels. "Where is he?"
What she didn't know though, was what exactly his soon to be visible friend was, and that making the assumption that his friend was a male was rude.

He smiled, "Midna, you can come out now" his shadow flew into the air and it took the solid form of Midna, Midna smiled sweetly and floated over to Ader. "Hello Aderith! Its so nice to finally meet you!" She shook her hand kindly and giggled a little, Link laughed to himself as well, wondering what Ader's reaction would be like.

Ader let out a horrid sounding squeal, people everywhere looking in her direction to see what was horrifying her so badly.. She even tripped, falling on her behind and crawling away! Poor girl, looked right scared out of her mind! "Get it away from me!" She cried out of fear, making it to a barrel that she could safely hide behind with ease.

Both Link and Midna had a surprised look upon their faces, but Midna's quickly turned to sadness and tears started to well up in the sides of her uncovered eye. Link ran to Midna's side and gave her a hug, "its alright Midna, don't cry, remove your helmet, maybe she'll accept you then." Midna quietly sobbed over Link's shoulder, she used to have people get scared of her every time she came out into the open, but this time was the worst shes experienced. "No thanks, Link... I'll just leave..." Link frowned, "but, Midna..." he said, trying to make her stay and try again, but she disappeared within his arms, his shadow was returned to him.
He didn't know what to do, should he be angry? Upset? But he didn't say a word, he just stared at Ader, a bit disappointed in her for hurting Midna's feelings in the way she did.

Ader was also a bit more on the upset side. Face hidden, she stuck behind the barrel, making sure not to make anymore noise than she found necessary. People were staring at both her, and Link now, trying to make out exactly what had happened between them and the floating creature. The people of Holodum after all, were very sheltered compared to other kingdoms and villages.. Everything in Holodum was pretty normal, thus creating the horrid effects of Link and Midna being 'horrible', 'ugly', 'scary', among various other phrases that could be used.
Ader hid her face in her hands, panting slightly, now feeling more than a little bad about her behavior. There was no way to take it back though, so she would have to deal with that, and she could. She could..

He looked around the whole village in disgust, he growled, "what are you people staring at?! Huh?! Mind your own damn business!!" He stomped his foot against the ground, shaking the earth slightly due to his immense strength, it was enough to frighten everyone, they ran inside their homes, slamming the doors behind them. He was extremely pissed off now and didn't feel like taking a tour anymore, he just wanted to leave to let off some steam, but he'd be back. He walked away to the field without even looking back at Ader.

Ader trembled slightly, looking upset as she sat alone in the cold. She had a feeling that her new 'friend' had gone.. and that was fine.. She didn't need him anyway! Tears in her eyes as she stood, Ader wiped at her face, mostly more angry now than anything, she began toward her home. How could he just leave her like that anyway?! That was just flat out rude! The miscellaneous village folk watched as the petite girl stomped off toward her home, slamming the door behind her once she was in.
"I can't believe him," she snarled to herself, locking her door and moving to change out of her things. "He can rot outside for all I care."

Dark clouds were slowly pouring in over Holodum and soon a heavy thunderstorm began in the once cheerful skies. Link was sitting in the tree outside the village, soaking wet, some rain upon his face, but he didn't care about that, he was thinking about Aderith. He realized it was rude of him to have just left, but he was angry and wasn't thinking straight, he wanted to go back and apologize, so thats just what he started to do. He jumped out of the tree and stepped upon the soggy ground below, he ran back to the village, trying his best to not slip and fall. But, when he stepped into the village, he stopped, he sensed something coming, something big, so he looked into the sky, trying to see since the rain and clouds were a problem.
He noticed a giant, black dragon flying toward the village, so he drew his sword and watched it land with a mighty thud to the ground before him. It roared loudly, making Link's cape fly wildly behind him, but he didn't flinch and got ready to cut its head off. It ignored Link though and started to fly over to Aderith's house, Link gasped "Aderith!!" He yelled, trying to get her attention. He ran after the dragon, which landed at her house and roared loudly, it bit a giant hole in her roof, he was trying to grab her to eat her. Link jumped and swung his sword down, cutting a part of the dragon's tail off, which landed on the muddy ground below, it let out a painful roar and left Ader alone to attack Link.
Their fight went on in the middle of the village, the dragon's growling and screeching along with Link's sword blocking its jaws and claws could be heard. He was trying to lead it out of the village, so he ran toward the exit and the dragon followed, taking his bait, when they were out of sight, the dragon roared one last time, Link let out a painful scream and the dragon's screech was cut short. The rain had stopped then and Link was walking back in the village, the dragon's head was being dragged through the mud behind him and his shirt was ripped to shreds thanks to the dragon's claws.
He fell to his knees, exhausted, "Aderith.... I'm... sorry" he said, knowing she wouldn't hear him, then he fell down into the mud, unconscious.

Crying could be heard from Ader's room as the thunder and rain boomed and poured. She was too distracted to hear the crazy noises and screams that were booming all around her home until it was far too late. She heard Link's voice first, her head popping out of her blankets to see what was the matter, or if he was close by any chance. Before she could do much else, her ceiling crashed open and she screamed at the top of her lungs to see a giant, scaled, black head with golden eyes and razor sharp teeth to match. The creature roared viciously near her, it's breath blowing against her harshly. She was lucky that something had cause it some sort of pain, recoiling it away from her.. She had a feeling that she knew what had done it.
"Link!" She cried out, she shook as she began to unlock her door quickly, her agile fingers finally making the contact needed. She opened it in time to see them both leaving her.. He really was a brave man.
It didn't take long through all of the panic and despair for everyone to hear the final battle cry of the beast that had managed to claim one man's life, on account of crushing him. Out wandered Ader, her face tear stained as she continued to cry, seeing a crown beginning to form, around Link no doubt, as he was most likely the victor. A thud later, and everyone gasped, leaving her to push through the masses. "Move!" She cried out in a hoarse voice...
There he was. She let out another sob, diving into the mud to pull the male from the dirt, cradling his head in her lap. "Please, anybody!" She cried out, "Help me, please...!"
(You should skip to morning. xD)

Someone offered Ader help and a bed for Link to rest in at their home, once they were there, they had Link cleaned up since he had mud all over him from passing out. Everyone who lived there kept an eye on him all night until morning came, that was when he woke up from what seemed like a coma. "Ad... Aderith" he uttered, still very weak and exhausted, someone ran over to Aderith in the house, trying to wake her up and tell her Link was alright.

(WELL FINE THEN. xD)
Aderith had had a rough night. If it weren't for the fact that the family she was staying with made her leave the edge of Link's bed, Aderith would have been right next to him the whole time. She couldn't sleep well, if at all, and when she did she cried.. cried and dreamed of the horrible beast that had tried to swallow her up.. and the sweet man who saved her.
"Aderith, he's 'wake!"
Aderith's body shot up, she looked panicked as the small boy took her over toward Link. "See?" The little boy asked. He left the two alone, and then it was over. "You're alright...?" Ader asked him softly, a hand moving to push some of the hair from Link's pale face.
