He smiled weakly, "yeah... I'm alright" he placed his hand upon hers and felt now would be a good time to show her the fatal wound that killed his body two years ago. "Please... don't be afraid when I show you this..." he moved his hand back down to his side and sat up in bed, his shirt was still tattered from yesterday. He ripped it off and tossed it to the floor, revealing his chest wound, which exposed part of his left ribs and lung, he also had three scars over his right shoulder, the dragon's doing.
They weren't bleeding though, as he had no blood to actually lose anymore, his hat was over his eyes to hide his shame. "I'm sorry for not telling you about this before..."

"Oh no.." Was all she was able to say. She covered her mouth, a grim look appearing on her face as she stared into his body, practically. He really wasn't technically alive then, was he? Aderith stared at his body for a long moment, taking in all of the damages that she could see on that pale colored skin. She decided to speak, though, and it was not, surprisingly, anything negative..
"You hush up," she told him, moving a hand to yank off his hat gently. "Now you stop it, alright?" He had so many reasons to thank him now, and she barely knew him.. and she had many things to apologize for as well. She moved to take a set on the edge of the bed, a small smile cracking on her lips. "You saved my life you know.."

His face went from ashamed to slightly surprised when she took his hat off, but he smiled when she smiled, he would've given her a hug, but he was shirtless... and his wound was out in the open. "Let me patch you up dear" said the mother of the house, she was portly but very sweet and kind in nature as she grabbed some bandages for Link. He removed his cape and lifted his arms to make it easier for her and a few minutes later, his chest and right shoulder was bandaged up, she gave him a gentle pat on the back, "there you are dear, now, you need some rest before you start walking again."
She picked up his cloaked and folded it neatly up for him, placing it on a table next to the bed, she then picked up the remains of his shirt off the floor. "I'll see what I can do with this..." she said, walking off to the back room of the house. Link thanked her then laid back in bed, resting his head on the soft pillow, he sighed, "I'm sorry for leaving you behind before Aderith... I shouldn't have done that."

Ader watched the two through sweet, soft eyes, showing that somewhere underneath all of her frustration, hardness and emotions there was a sweet girl with a big heart. Once the mother, Gladda, left the two alone, Aderith smiled sweetly to Link, a hand moving to cover his. "Don't worry about it," was all she said. And with those words, the man was forgiven. "I overreacted.. That was dumb." Most people, however, would have probably been just a tiny bit more berserk than she had. "But you're okay now, that's all that really matters at the moment; rest." She rubbed his slightly colder hand gently, eyes moving to the bleak outdoors beyond the window.
She had been thinking in her dreams, about how worried she'd been when Link had been laying in the mud the previous night.. It had scared her so badly; one of the reasons she'd been crying in her sleep. For some reason he made her scared for other people.. especially him.

He gave her a smile, "Midna, do you mind keeping Aderith company while I rest?" Midna appeared, sitting in a chair next to the table by the bed, she didn't look very happy. "If you want me to Link, I'll try..." She said, giving him a short smile, "are you still afraid of me, Aderith?" She asked her, floating into the air and over to Link's opposite side.

The reaction from Ader this time was much more controlled, as she was more prepared this time.. She simply looked at the.. Midna, her eyes still filled with uncertainty. She nodded though, her hand still on Link's. Ader was unaware of this however, and simply sat there playing with his hand. "I'm fine.." She muttered, eyes adverting to Link so that she wouldn't stare.

"Aderith, is there something you want to say?" He asked her, trying to point out she needs to apologize to Midna. "Yeah Aderith, is there?" Midna asked as she flew back over to the chair and sat in it again, she would've removed her helmet, but she waited for a reply first.

Now she didn't like this. Her fingers stopped moving and she glared back and forth between the two. "If you are going to be arrogant about it then I won't say anything, how about that?" Getting up, she stormed away, just like that.. She had every intention of apologizing, but for them to tell her that she needed to apologize? No.
Ader had stepped outside, angry with the two as she crossed her arms, inhaling the chilly air that blew around her and threw her hair. It made her shiver and frown, but it had to be better than any the room with [I]those[/I two.

Both Link and Midna frowned, they looked at each other, they once again made a stupid mistake and they both sighed. "I'll go talk to her, you just rest for now Link" she removed her helmet and in a burst of dark shards, she returned to her normal, adult form. She snapped her fingers and her helmet disappeared for now, she gave him a farewell kiss on the forehead and left the house, going after Ader. She opened the door slightly, enough to poke her head out, "Aderith... we're sorry about our attitudes, it was too soon, can you forgive us?" Her voice was more calm and adult than her imp form, which was high-pitched and fiery.

"No," she said simply. Aderith was far too stubborn for her own good, and often that got her in trouble. "You know, I'm sorry that I'm still a little upset right now, for I dunno, the DRAGON that tried to eat me. I'm sorry that the first words that come out of my mouth when I see you aren't to your liking. Just know this: I'm not sorry."
Not once had Ader looked back to Midna, which she already had a strong distaste for. It really was nothing personal.. or maybe it was, but Ader found Midna to be like every other female being she'd ever met: over emotional, cranky and rude. Ader was rude, sure.. But never over emotional. Not once did she get angry or upset without having good reason.

"Please... I didn't want this to happen, why can't we just be friends?" She asked as she stepped out the door all the way and closed it behind her. She smiled kindly to her as she waited for any kind of response while she leaned against the door.

Slowly but surely, Ader shook her head. "No." Well then.. This was the stubborn side of the girl in full blown effect. Sadly enough she would probably end up apologizing and begging for forgiveness or something, maybe not.. Who could tell with Ader anyway, right? Arms crossed, the girl glared into the dirt still angrily.

Midna sighed, "very well... I'll give you some time to chill out, suppose I'll go exploring Holodum by myself since Link is asleep..." She had her left hand on her right arm as she walked away, feeling a bit hurt from her stubbornness. She left the village and looked around the near empty but vast field, she didn't feel like walking around though, so she sat under the tree Link slept in. The shade provided some relief from the bright sun, but it didn't matter to her, she pulled her legs in close to herself and wrapped her arms around them as she rested her head on her knees. She sighed and took some time to think about Link and Aderith.
"I have a feeling they'll be together later..." She said to herself, then she made a small smile and chuckled.

Ader stood for a moment staring into the dirt harshly as she thought about Midna. Ugh.. she just disliked her extremely for some odd reason.. It really was quite rude.
Sighing, Aderith moved back to the home, taking a small stool by the bed so that she could sit with Link. She stared at his body for the longest time, looking at the intricate details in his skin.. sighing occasionally before she came to rest her eyes on his face. She looked at his face even harder, as if trying to figure out something about him.. it was very odd indeed.

Link's eyes twitched and he moved his head back and forth slightly, the look on his face showed fear and nervousness. He was having a nightmare, Zelda and him were running towards each other through the lush Hyrulian Fields, such happiness and peace, until Ganondorf appeared behind Zelda and stabbed her through her back and guts. Link skid to a stop and watched in shock as Zelda died before him, Ganon laughed insanely as Zelda slid off the sword and landed on the ground in a puddle of blood. Soon Hyrule was engulfed in flames, everything turned to ash and barren wasteland, Link turned around, still in shock.
But in Link's distracted and overwhelmed state, he didn't notice Ganon run up to him until he was grabbed around his throat and lifted into the air. No matter how hard he struggled, he couldn't break free from Ganon's grasp, but his struggle stopped when Ganon stabbed him in the chest where his wound currently was at. Blood stained the barren ground underneath Link and he coughed up some as well, then he died right after. But as Link died in his dream, he woke up shouting in real life, he quickly sat up in bed and held his forehead, he was sweating and shaking.
He was still so surprised he didn't notice Aderith sitting by the bed, he cried a little bit and sobbed quietly.

Her eyes examined the male still, through the obvious distress in his dream. Ader seemed to be studying him for a reason, wondering why exactly he was acting the way that he was.. He appeared to be having a dream, more of a nightmare perhaps, and Aderith sat up in her place just a little more. "Link?" She asked him in her soft and meek voice. He only seemed to be shaking more, and her body went from sitting up to standing. "Link!" His eyes popped up and he shot up, causing Aderith to move back just a little. Soon enough though, she was on the edge of the bed, right next to him, looking him straight into his scared eyes.
"Link," she said softly, her eyes filled with fear. "Are you alright?" Of course he wasn't alright.. he was sweating, obviously upset as he was crying.. "Shh.." She said lightly, taking a bold step and pulling him into her arms, the pinkest of shades on her face. "It's okay.."

He tried to speak through his sobbing, "my... my past came back... to haunt me" the nightmare he experience was reoccurring almost every time he slept. But it happens in many different ways, it just keeps getting worse, and that one was the worst of them all, which is why he hardly sleeps anymore. He hugged Aderith when he noticed that he was in her arms, he was still sobbing lightly, starting to come over the shock and despair.
Midna was fully aware of everything that happened despite her not being there, she had a special connection with Link, able to hear his thoughts and see his dreams. She was standing up by the tree, leaning against it, lightly sobbing at the dream she just saw. She ran back to the village and the house, she needed to be by his side right now.
Link left Ader's embrace and tossed the blanket away so he could sit on the edge of the bed, he was hunched over, still crying a little, but he was starting to stop. "Aderith... did I tell you about my home?" He asked, sniffling afterwards, he began to tell her about Hyrule and its inhabitants, so he could then explain his dream to her if she wished to know.
Midna had just then entered the house, "Link!" She said, closing the door behind her, she ran to his bedside. "Are you alright?" She held his hand and sat next to him on the bed, opposite of Ader. Link wished to smile, knowing they were both by his side, but he just couldn't find it, "I'm alright Midna... just had the most frightening thing go on in my head, I thought I was fearless... guess not."
Midna put her hand under his chin to lift him up from his mopey position, "you ARE fearless, Link, you saved Aderith and the whole village from that nasty dragon yesterday. Not everyone would risk their life, they'd much rather save their own than others, don't say you're not brave..." She gave him a kind smile, hoping to get in return, she did, but it was a small smile, another tear fell down his face.
"Perhaps we can help rebuild Aderith's home today?" He asked, finally finding his courageous spirit again.

Ader had been gently holding Link's arm, trying to console him in any way she could possibly do so. She actually was trying very hard to look happily at the male in hopes of making him smile.. cheer up even a little at least. When he began to tell her about his home, Hyrule, she listened intently to every word he said, taking in the details of the matter. Of course, in rushed Midna, and Ader dropped Link's arm, her eyes adverting to the floor as the newer presence entered the room and stole Link's attention.
Aderith watched her feet, listening to the two. Obviously in Ader's mind, there was something more than friendship in the air, and it was awkward on her behalf. When the mention of repairing her home popped in, she shook her head. "Don't feel obligated to help me anymore," she said simply. "You're done enough." Ader was a moody, very emotional person.. She got to her feet swiftly, not bothering to look back at the two as she moved out of the home and into the sunlight. Various people watched her as she began to leave. Ader would fix her own home on her own time.

"Aderith!" Link said as she walked away, "god damn it..." he muttered under his breath as he got up and ran after her, grabbing his cloak along the way and putting it on as he gave chase. "Aderith, wait, I want to help you out!" He said as he caught up to her, "please, anything you're thinking about me and Midna is untrue, we're only friends!" Midna was looking out the window, she didn't want to interfere, since Aderith might run away again. "Please, listen to me as I say these words" he held her hand, "I think I... love you" he was blushing wildly, but he didn't care, he wanted to say those words. He hardly new Ader, but, he had grown feelings for her, which only grew stronger as he killed the dragon and saved her life.

(What the hell? xD He just met her like, yesterday. )
Ader froze, her body tensing up and Link grew close to her. She listened to his words, but then they suddenly got outrageous. She turned to face him slowly, her eyes and face conveying the anger and emotion that she was feeling at the moment. "Is that your idea of some sick joke?" She asked him stiffly, the most horrid looking glare on her face. "It's not funny.." Her face seemed to go from anger to distaste, straight to sadness in all of a blink. Aderith turned her back on him again, growling with frustration and anger before she moved toward her dismantled home again. "Leave me alone," she called to the male.

(Lol, I know... but I like drama. x3)
"I'm not joking, why would I be? It may seem crazy... but I'm speaking with total honesty." He must've been losing his mind, like he had no control of the words coming out of his mouth, he did like her, but now he felt like he screwed himself over. "Aderith, wait!" He said as she walked away, but when he heard the words, 'leave me alone' its like he was hit by a truck, he grew angry... at himself. Midna watched him break down, she snapped her fingers and her helmet appeared within her hand, when she put it on, she returned to her cursed imp form.
She flew out the window and floated by Link's side, she put her hand on his shoulder, but he jerked it away from her. "Please Midna, I just want to be alone right now" Midna frowned, but she understood and disappeared, Link's shadow was returned to him. "I'm such an idiot..." he said to himself, he got up and ran away toward the open fields, he needed to just get away and think for awhile, just like Aderith.

(Bahahahahaaaa. xD)
Aderith covered her mouth with her small hands. She knew practically nothing of this man.. thing.. She knew nothing about men in general. She was clumsy and emotional, giving any man who got close enough plenty of strings to deal with. Link she had to admit seemed different, but there was in no way a reason for him to love her, much less be in love with her. All he knew was her name, and the fact that she had slaughtered someone she was dear to.
Her home was closer than she thought, and she entered it in silence, locking the door behind her though there was no one who would enter.. She began to clean up wood and the muss that had been left by the dead dragon which had been cut to pieces, most of the meat sold by local butchers, and hauled away. Link couldn't possibly love her. It was all another clever plot by a clever man.

Link took refuge in the tree outside the village, in a horrible mopey state, he sighed and he put his head on top of his knees. But, he heard a snap, the tree branch he was sitting on was finally breaking, and before it fell, he jumped from the tree and landed on the ground. the big branch knocked a bunch of smaller branches down, some hit him in the head, which fueled his rage, when it all calmed down, he grabbed the tree by its trunk and pulled it from the ground. He yelled angrily and swung the tree down, making a big gash in the earth, he then threw it and it flew over the hills, he watched it fly.
But, as he watched it fly he saw something in the corner of his eye, it was a person covered in blood, running down the hills toward Holodum. He gasped, watching the person stumble and fall down to the ground, he ran toward him and picked him up, despite him getting blood all over him, he wasted no time and took him to safety. He ran into the village and began to shout for help, "help us!! We have a dying man on our hands!!" He waited for a response from anyone, the man in his arms was coughing up blood, "don't worry sir, I'll get you help" he said to him.

A man who was close by to Link had heard the commotion, ultimately helping Link and the injured man. "Come on, young man," he said simply. The man was gray and elderly looking, his hair had streaks of blond in it, showing that once upon a time ago he had golden locks of thick hair. He looked like he had been very handsome, and still was in an older sense; he was in his fifties.
He led Link to one of the larger homes in the village, opening the door and greeting a nod to his daughter, then calling for his wife. "Ilda!" He called, helping Link place the ever-bleeding man onto a small cot in the front room. "Ilda, we need some bandages and washclothes, Meriel, you too!" Meriel, his daughter obeyed sweetly. She looked very young, maybe nine, and soon enough had fetched her father two buckets of water and some cloths while her mother emerged with bandages.
Ader was still in her home. She'd heard the small ruckus outside, obviously it was Link yet again to be making the fuss.. She sighed with anger and discontent, beginning to make her bed, folding the linen sheets as she glared at them. "Damn him," she muttered.

"Thank you so much sir" he said as he followed the elderly man home, he looked at his hands, the fresh blood upon them and some on his pants and bandages. He helped clean the man up, and as the blood washed away, it turns out the man had three stab wounds on his body, on his stomach, on his back where his kidney was at and his lung. "Hes a goner...." Link said with disappointment, "sir... please, who did this to you?" He asked him, the man did all he could to speak, but sadly, before Link could even blink, the man died before them, his body going limp.
Link's head sagged and he closed his eyes, feeling remorse for the man, he shut the man's still open eyes and stood up. "Is there a place to bury this poor man?" He asked the family.
