Why can't people get along. Religion, race, sexuality, profession, class. These are all dumb reasons not to get along. If you can't be who you are then why even bother. I know many different people of many different situations. Some were black, asian, hispanic, jewish, christian, interventionary evolutionists, and some were just a mix of it all. I think of my cousin who was bullied by a bunch of kids and teachers just for being white! I myself have some Lebanese in me(in the middle east on the eastern most point of the Mediterranean Sea). I think freedom from prejudices is a goal that can be reached if everyone thought about it. What's different about me and the rest of the world? Only the outside. Like a PC the outside can tell you nothing and until you know the specs and the OS, then judgements are worthless. Do poodles hate dalmations? I dont think so. If anyone can tell me why this hate exists, then please help me understand.

It's human nature. Even if were to do away with with all of the prejudices you've mentioned, we'd still find some other reason to discriminate against and kill each other.

Not saying that it's okay, I'm just saying it's just how things are.

No, sadly.. I do not think that prejudice will ever go away completely.
There will always be someone who is close-minded and hates on another person for whatever reason having to do with their race/religion/beliefs, etc.

It's just not possible for it to just go away, even if people think about it.

...Ew, no Dx I don't want to be like no freaky bug. Ants freak me out. I'm satisfied with being human. Humans are just this way. I honestly don't think we're meant to get along 100%. We need some spice in our life. World peace would be boring.

Okay that's a little extreme. I'm not serious, so nobody take offense to that. But really though, as has been said. It's human nature, don't expect it to change...There will always be disagreements about things, from things as big as religion to silly things like fashion. It's just that way.

As much as I wish it weren't true, what JamesB14 said is true.
So yeah, the world would be one step closer to being perfect (highly impossible) if we could achieve that..

There's a reason dogs don't wage "war" against eachother, they don't have large enough brains or frontal lobes to have the ability to make choices like that. Sure dogs can hate and dislike other groups of dogs, but that's just from disgruntled familiarity, it isn't bred in them.

Prejudice will always exist. Always. People have different ideas of peace, that's why it's so impossible to uphold! Peace to America might mean no terrorists or communists, but peace in Cuba might mean a good leader who takes care of the people. Prejudice is just an excuse people use, because it's easier than actually like, hanging out with this radically different group. :/

Hate is what makes history interesting. It's what makes us interesting. Like, take Russia. Russia was a peace loving country for like, forever, until Mongolia invaded. That's when things got interesting. Not only interesting, but it made Russia change. Everyone was like 'GTFOMONGOLIA' and banded together. Russia was forced to adapt militaristic aspecs into their boring previously let's-all-live-in-the-forest-with-bibles lifestyel. What the hell would happen if there was no hate or war? There'd be no real contact between countries. Sure, there'd be trade, but without conflict, everyone would just... not care wtf is going on in elsewhere politically. We only check this things because it's relevant to us. Hate is part of life, human life.

I agree. I wish people wouldnt discriminate because of race, sex, religion, etc. If you hate someone, it should have a damned good reason to follow it up.
On the inside, we're all red, right? We should just live in peace... like God intended...

I personally don't care about the well being of human kind (Don't shoot me for that, I'll explain why) Its in our nature to act and speak like savages no matter what, its human nature and sadly it isn't going to change anytime soon. We're all made differently with a different view on each aspect life seems to offer us and if we didn't disagree well..the world wouldn't be colorful, it'll be grey.

Animals are violent, Human kind too, I don't think of it as a bad thing so to speak and No, I'm not saying we should all bomb eachother and yadda yadda, I just think this is the flaw of survival, we have to fight in order to survive.

Discrimination has its ups and downs. After all, I just look at it this way! Who cares? We're all going to die anyway. Don't bash me for this, I'm just saying. : (

It's ignorance, an unfortunate fact of human life. It tends to stem from the fact that humans are a race who would rather fear what they know very little about than actually go and find something out about it. Hate is a fear driven emotion, and since the human race is fearful they are apt to hate.

One quote describes it all:

"We hate which we do not understand."

Because they're important to people so they want to share it with others and then others reject it.
Lemme put it in example form.
A devote Christian shares their beliefs with a faithful Muslim, both the religions are important to both individuals.
One disagrees and says that their thoughts on their God/Savor is false.
This angers the other, and so an agreement/fight occurs.
Unless one of them is a more mature person and walks away which is more not than likely not the case.

People will always find something to disagree about. Disagreement breeds anger, and anger breeds racism, and unfortunately human beings are very good at holding grudges. Without a way to change everyone's mind at once, there isn't going to be a way to get rid of racism. We can only do our best to be the better man and see every person as who they are and understand their thoughts and feelings. We can do these things and hope others can learn from our examples. It's a slow process, and it will never make everything better, but at least maybe, we can affect our neighbors who can affect their neighbors. It's all we can do.

It's usually pride that takes over us when we hate. People tend to feel the need to be in power and so most of individuals see a race as superior and another as inferior. One good example would be Adolf Hitler... It was not pretty on what he put the Jews through at WWII, just because he thought that the Aryan race was "the perfect race".

Disagreements. Pride. Anger. Power. Vendetta. Hatred. All those words are closely associated with each other...

Humans hate because they need something to do with their time...

Every other species on the planet spends their days fighting to stay alive. Because we've evolved beyond the need to have to go out and kill our food ourselves, and struggle to survive in the most fundimental of ways on a daily basis. Well, we invent stupid things like religion and prejudice to fill our days, and from that stems all the fun that humanity is...

Just think about it, if there was no hate, well, it would be like in those cartoons, with all these happy people holding hands and there will be a rainbow in the background and bunnies hoping about. Creepy right?

No, I don't think we're meant to get along, just like different packs of wolves don't get along or two different pride of lions. I don't discriminate by race or gender or etc... but there are people I don't like just because they are so frickin annoying and never shut up and then stalk me >.< so yeah prejudice can't totally be erased. You're always going to have some stuck up person you hate or some person who swears everytime they speak or someone how just doesn't shut up.... get the picture?
