Gabri looked at Link, sore from the night before but happy. "Good morning, my love," she said, kissing his nose. "How are you?"

He smiled, "just fine love, I hope I wasn't too rough last night" he chuckled lightly, giving her another kiss, then he climbed out of bed and walked over to his pack for some new clothes. He put on some white boxers, black pants, his belt and a red short sleeved shirt, he wore his old sandals, he picked up his old clothes and placed them in his pack. He took a quick stretch, "would you like to get some breakfast, love?" He asked her, adjusting his hair back to normal, it was a bit messy.

"I'm alright, love. It was my first time and I wasn't used to it." was all Gabri Ella said. She rose from the bed and walked to her own pack. She dressed in a traveling gown, it was a pale blue color with a light orange belt around the waist. The sleeves were long and diamond off to cover the top of her hands. "Breakfast would be great since we haven't eaten since lunch yesterday."

He looked over at Gabri, his eyes widened, "wow... you're even more beautiful than you were before, love" he said in amazement, he was blushing a little bit, he walked over and hugged her. He gave her a kiss, "I love you" he said, chuckling afterwards, he turned his attention to Cody, fully awake now and staring at them, he chirped, sounding like he was being neglected. He walked over and picked up his nest, attaching it to his belt, "don't worry Cody, we won't leave you behind, we'll all go to breakfast together." Cody chirped happily and flew up, perching on Link's shoulder, he nuzzled against Link's cheek, Link chuckled and pet Cody's head.

Link walked back to Gabri and gave her another kiss, "lets go love" he said, walking over to the door, he held his hand out to her.

"Thank you, Link," Gabri said then took his hand to head off to breakfast. She wondered if Cody had truly fell asleep last night or if he had been faking it.

He grew a bit nervous, he was thinking the same thing as Gabri at that moment, he looked at Cody in the corner of his eye, but, Cody didn't seem very upset or anything, so he sighed with relief inside his mind. Once they descended the stairs, they were greeted with chatting locals and room renters, along with the clattering of plates and the sizzling of food from the kitchen. Cody flew down into his nest and covered himself slightly in the nest material, hoping to not be noticed, a table was nearby them, so Link pulled out a chair for Gabri, once she sat down, he pushed it on for her. He then sat down in the chair next to her and waited for someone to come by and take their orders, a woman walked over and stood at their table, the same waitress as yesterday.

"Good morning" she sounded just as emotionless and unexcited as yesterday as well, she was busy looking at her notepad, until she saw them in the corner of her eye. "Oh, its you two again, well, what do you want?" Link didn't seem very happy to see her, but he managed to utter his order, "eggs and bacon, with a small order of fruit please" the waitress looked at Gabri. "How about you honey?"

Gabri Ella looked up at the woman, she shared the woman's emotionless face. "I'll have scrambled eggs and sausage." she said. "And a glass of milk." She then looked down at the table and sat quietly.

"Alright, it'll be ready in a few minutes" she walked away to the kitchen to get their food, during this time Link glanced at Gabri, seeing her almost lifeless face. He began to frown and he placed his hand upon hers, "love, whats the matter? Why do you seem so sad?" Cody had flown out of his nest and perched on the table in between them, he looked at Gabri, feeling just as worried as Link, he chirped sadly at Gabri. He seemed to be asking her if she was alright as well.

She looked up at Link and then to the little bird on the table. Gabri smiled weakly, "I'm fine...I am just a little homesick I guess." She gently squeezed his hand, then said, "I have also been thinking about Shad and Ryudo. About how they could be following us." Gabri Ella began to glance around the crowded room then looked at Link. "What if they are here? In this village?"

"I know how you feel completely love, I miss Labrynna too, but, we will go back soon, and we'll be married and live happily ever after." He smiled sweetly, squeezing her hand gently, not wanting to let it go, but, he loosened his grip in surprise when she mentioned Shad and Ryudo. "Theres no way those two idiots would leave Labrynna behind them just to follow us and ruin our trip, they need to protect the king, as well as our future family and the citizens of Labrynna. We're only out here because the king gave us approval, he doesn't want to lose anymore knights, I assure you."

Pretty soon the waitress came back with their orders, placing them gently on the table, "here ya go, enjoy" she walked away before Link could even thank her, he groaned. Cody hopped over to his plate, same order as yesterday, but it was still tasty, he began to eat. Link was too concered about Gabri to start eating, he lifted her hand and kissed it, then caressed it gently. "Everything will be alright love, I promise you, now, its time to eat and enjoy the rest of our day" he smiled at her.

"You're right, Link. We should enjoy our stay here." Gabri Ella replied. She looked down at her plate and picked up her fork. She took a small bite and smiled at Link. "Its almost as good as dinner was." She held his hand tightly as she ate, she didn't want to let him go.

He smiled back and gave her a kiss on the cheek, still holding her hand, he started to eat his breakfast, Cody had eaten all he could and was sitting on the table with his full belly. Link laughed and put down his fork, he picked up Cody in his hand and gently placed him back in his nest so he could digest his meal, he then continued eating. Once he was done, he wiped his face with his napkin and sighed happily, "that really hit the spot, I'll go get our luggage so we can get going. Can you hold onto Cody for me, love? I'll carry your backpack for you" He gently and carefully picked up and held onto Cody's nest, he handed it to Gabri then he ran upstairs to get their things.

He came back down a few moments later, her pack was on his back and he held his own in one hand like a hand bag. He gave the inn owner back his room key and a few gold pieces "thank you sir, we had a good time here, we'll pass by again real soon." The owner pulled the key and gold toward him, without taking his eyes off his book, Link sighed at him but he got over it and walked back to Gabri. "Shall we go, love?" He asked, holding his hand out to her.

Gabri finished eating and held Cody while Link went upstairs for their things. She wasn't really ready to go but would hope they would stop here on their way back. She watched for him to come down the stairs and when she saw him, she was at the counter waiting for him. "I'm ready..." she said with a final look around the room.

He put his bag down and carefully took back the nest, but, he attached it to her belt instead, "I'm weighed down with all of this, its best if you carry him." Cody was peacefully sleeping in his nest, snoring cutely, Link held Gabri's hand and kissed it gently. But, then he grew concerned about the dangers that lay ahead for them that day, "we have to extra careful love, remember what the map said? Our pathway is full of bandits and other dangers, be prepared to defend yourself when the time comes" he gave her a hug as best as he could, then held her hand once more.

"Lets go" he walked over to the exit, holding the door open for her, when she stepped out, he followed and closed the door behind him. It was just as noisy outside as it was inside, but it didn't seem to bother him much, he looked over at Gabri. "Should we look around the market more before we head out love? Perhaps theres something else you'd like to buy."

"I can carry my own bag if you want." Gabri said, taking her staff out. "Link, love, you know you don't have to worry about me. I am one of the best knights." She smiled and kissed him gently on the cheek.

Stepping out of the inn, she looked about. "No, I don't think there is anything else I want. But if you want to look about, I have no problem with that." she said, holding is hand and waiting for his reply.

He wielded his sword in his left hand and held her hand with his right, "I know that you are a knight, love, and are as great of a fighter as I am, but that doesn't mean I won't worry about you." He gave her a kiss as well and smiled, but then he nodded his head, understanding if she was done shopping, "no thanks love, I'm good for now, lets get going" he then started to head east once more to the town exit, squeezing her hand gently. The exit was just the same as the entrance, they were pretty far away from the hustle and bustle of the main square, so it was nice to finally have some peace.

Their pathway looked normal and innocent enough, beautiful skies and the typical nature settings, but this didn't make Link drop his guard, he was ready for the dangers ahead. "Keep your eyes open for any bandits love" he took a step forward, but he stopped when he heard someone shout behind them. "Hey! You folks heading to Helia too?" Asked a man, Link turned around and noticed him, he looked to be a lumberjack, he had his beautiful wife next to him on their cart being pulled by a horse. "Actually, yes, is it alright if we travel with you?" The man noticed their weapons, he nodded his head, "as long as you two help protect our cargo, you can come along."

"Yes, of course! Is that alright, love?" Asked Link, he turned his head and looked at her.

Gabri Ella walked with Link to the exit and stopped when she heard the voice as well. Turning to look at the man and woman in the cart, she watched them carefully. She didn't think there was much to be afraid of with them so she nodded in reply to Link's question.

She smiled gently and walked over to the cart. She climbed into the back and stationed herself to protect the cargo if needed. Watching Link, she asked the driver, softly, "What kind of cargo are we protecting?"

"Its mainly food for the villagers, we're in charge of going shopping for everyone" explained the man, by this time Link had entered the cart and sat across from Gabri, the cart was full of baskets, covered with cloth. There were some cages off to the side that had chickens in them, they were clucking quietly, Link lifted up one of the cloths and had the smell of freshly baked bread hit his face, he put the cloth back and sighed happily. "Bandits try to steal our food and valuables every time we head back to town. We're counting on you two to drive them off, we'll pay you when we get back home with whatever possible" the man snapped the horse's reigns and it began to slowly gallop back to Helia.

"Is there any way to stop the bandits from attacking anyone forever?" Link asked curiously, "no one knows where the bandit's hideout is located, and besides, no one has been brave enough to even think of finding it." Link began to have a brave look on his face, "we may be the ones you're looking for" he muttered under his breath, the man didn't hear him though.

She smelled the bread and enjoyed it. "We will do our best." Gabri said, modestly. She didn't want to reveal that Link and her were two of the best knights in Labrynna. She had heard Link and wondered what he had planned. If the bandits did try to attack the cart, how were they going to leave the man and woman without their protection to go search for the hideout?

He whispered at Gabri, "we'll protect them on their way to town, but afterwards we can try to find the hideout, we would stop the bandits love, wouldn't you want to do that?" The man still did not hear him, so he laid back and looked at the scenery around them, they soon ended up entering the forest, getting closer and closer to Helia. So far, no bandits were showing themselves, but he still didn't drop his guard, he looked around suspiciously into the trees, trying to spot any movement. Cody had woken up just then, he let out a yawn of sorts and a tired chirp, he looked up at Gabri though and chirped cutely, happy to see her.

"Yes, love," she whispered back to him. Gabri Ella looked about, trying to see through the trees. She was hoping that the bandits wouldn't attack but she almost wanted to have a little action. When she heard Cody chirp, she looked down and smiled at him. "Good morning, Cody."

Cody chirped cheerfully and sort of bounced up and down in his nest, it was an amusing sight and it made Link drop his guard for a few seconds to chuckle. However, Cody stopped abruptly and his feathers were standing on end, he looked around frantically, he must have sensed something, it made Link react and he looked around as well. Holding his sword handle with both hands, he stood up in the cart, braced for a fight, the cart was moving slow and steady enough so he could stand alright. He heard a twig snap in the trees in front of him, when all of a sudden, a man, wearing a handkerchief over his face, jumps from the trees with a knife, ready to stab Link. Link growled and swung his sword, he sliced the man's gut and he fell to the ground, slowly bleeding to death, "get moving!" Link shouted to the man and the woman, hearing Link's cry, the man snapped the reigns, and soon the horses were in full gallop.

He stumbled and grabbed ahold of the wooden fencing around the cart to not lose his balance, "love, get ready for any other sneak attacks!" Link shouted, trying his best to spot anything through the trees they were quickly passing by. Cody grew scared and flew out of his nest, he flew over and perched on the wooden fencing by Link, using his small talons to hold on tight. He chirped in a frightened tone, "relax Cody, everything will be fine!" Link said, trying to reassure his little friend, he smiled a courageous smile. "Do you see anything, love?!" He asked her, his voice was a bit muffled from the horse's hooves and the roaring wind as they went faster.

Gabri Ella jumped up after she saw Link slice the man. She watched the man fall to the ground and slowly bleed out. Her staff at the ready, she nodded towards Link and started to search the trees on her side of the cart.

"I don't see anything..." she started to say, then stopped as she squinted towards the road behind the cart. She could see men running in their direction. "There!" she said, pointing back so Link saw what she saw.

"Cody, maybe you should hide under the cloth! But don't eat anything!" she shouted over the wind and horses. She, then, held up the cloth and waited for Cody to go under it.

Cody didn't hesitate and quickly flew underneath the cloth, when the cloth lowered, you could slightly see him shaking from fear, Link watched him for a few seconds in worry, but then turned his attention to the bandits chasing after them. "We're going so fast, yet they can keep up on foot?!" Link asked himself, edging his way along the sides of the cart to the end of it so he could quickly stab at the bandits and keep them away. "We're almost there kids!" Shouted the man, his wife was holding onto his arm in fear of the bandits and everyone's safety, the reigns were snapped again, making the horses go as fast as possible. Despite Link paying attention to the bandits before him, one bandit jumped from the trees behind him and grabbed the back of his shirt.

Link flew out of the cart, breaking some of the wooden fencing as he flew, him and the bandits rolled across the road and the horses went on without them. Once him and the bandit stopped, Link slowly got up, bruised and covered in dirt, he coughed a few times and did his best to stand up. Still holding onto his sword, he growled and stabbed the bandit who grabbed him before he could get up himself, killing him, blood pooled on the ground underneath him. The bandits chasing after the cart had stopped and watched Link kill their bandit partner, Link turned toward them and began to grow angry, the Triforce mark on the back of his hand started to glow brightly.

Link stomped toward them, growling as he did, and soon his eyes turned a bright full yellow, the bandits stepped back a bit in shock, pretty soon Link was glowing a bright yellow, filled with Triforce power. The bandits started to whimper slightly in fear and they ran away in the trees, screaming, "cowards!!! Don't ever show your faces around me again!!" Link was still angry, but, he slowly began to calm down, and soon he returned to normal, however, he grew in shock at what had just happened with him. He looked at the back of his hand, the Triforce was still glowing, but it faded out soon after, he didn't know how it could've happened, but he stopped thinking about it and started to chase after Gabri.

"I hope they're alright!" Link said to himself, running as fast as he could, despite the painful bruises on his person, meanwhile, the cart wasn't attacked by any other bandits, they made it to the giant wooden gates of Helia just fine. When the cart stopped and the gates slowly opened, Cody came out from underneath the cloth and chirped at Gabri, when he looked for Link though, he chirped in shock. He chirped and flew over to where it Link was, looking around frantically for him, he then flew back down the path to search of him, he was quickly found though. Link was holding his side and dragging his left foot along slightly, the pain from his bruises becoming more intense, he had one eye closed because of the pain, Cody flew over and hovered in front of him.

He chirped in relief of finding his friend, Link smiled and chuckled a little, "thank you Cody for coming back to check on me... I'll be there soon, don't worry about me" he then continued on his way. Cody flew by his side, not about to leave him behind in his state, pretty soon they were both in sight of the gate and the cart, the cargo being picked up by the villagers. "Gabri Ella" Link said weakly, "I'm happy you're alright" he ran as best as he could toward her, still holding his side, his hip had broken the gate when he fell. Cody followed along and perched on the cart's fencing in front of Link.

Gabri Ella watched in horror as Link was taken off the cart. She didn't leave the cart in case there was another wave of bandits but she worried about him. They made it to the gate without any more problems but she had lost sight of Link.

Once they stopped and she saw Cody fly off, she jumped from the back of the cart and started to walk back to the gate, waiting to see Link reappear. She rushed over to him when she saw him walking in pain. "I'm fine but I can see you are not. We might have to stay here for the night. You don't look well enough to travel." she said, helping him into Helia. "We are going to need to find a place to stay."
