Gabri Ella laughed as she saw the two men fall to the floor unconscious. "It would figure those two would become fast friends..." she said as they started to walk to the kitchen.

"Thank you, love. I am starting to get hungry anyway."

He sighed, "me too, love, I don't want them to ruin any more time we have to spend together" they had entered the kitchen, most of the soldiers were gone, some were still there, finishing up the last of their meal. "I really hope we didn't miss dinner again..." He said, sounding disappointed, "Link, my boy!" Shouted the king from across the room, making his ears perk up, he noticed the king, waving at them, he had a large feast before him. "I saved you two some dinner, just in case you ever came back" Link walked over to the king's table with Gabri, "thank you so much your highness."

He pulled out a chair for Gabri, when she sat in it he pushed it in for her, he then sat down himself next to her, both opposite of the king. There was a large chicken on the table and a fresh vegetable salad, one of the chef's assistants ran over, ready to cut up the chicken and serve everyone. When everyone was properly served up, she gave them all a short bow and hurried back to the kitchen to help with the dishes, "so, I couldn't help but overhear you two wish to get married." The king said, taking a big bite of the chicken leg on his plate.

"Let me guess, Ryudo told you... did he tell anyone else?" Link asked, starting to dig into his salad first with a bored look on his face. "No, my lad, I heard him and Shad's conversation on my way to the kitchen, I think its wonderful news!" Link kind of wished it would've just remained a secret, because soon everyone will know, and he wanted it to be a surprise. "I do too your majesty, but, we want to hold it off until the end of the war, where we'll live in peace without the fear of dying on the battlefield..."

"Oh, I know lad, I won't speak about it to anyone else, I don't know about Shad and Ryudo though..." he continued eating, as well as Link. After dinner, the king bid them both farewell and started to head toward his room to head to bed, "would you like to join me in my room tonight Gabri?" He asked her as he stood up then he helped her up out of her chair.

Gabri Ella didn't mind the King knowing, she trusted that he wouldn't tell anyone else. She was also pretty sure Shad wouldn't want anyone else to know. Since he wanted her and if others knew they would encourage the wedding.

After she finished eating, she rose from the table and looked to Link. "I'd love to join you tonight. I'm sure Ryudo is staying with mother anyway. I'm not ready to face him." she said, giving Link a weak smile.

"I understand, love, I wouldn't want to speak to him right now either..." he gave her a hug and a kiss, then held her hand and started to walk back up to his room with her. He held the door open for her and then shut it behind him after they both entered, he placed his boots over with his other equipment he left there earlier then climbed into bed. He held open the blankets for her, so she could enter as well and cuddle with him if she wished.

She removed her equipment and shoes, giggling at Link holding up the blanket for her. Gabri walked over and climbed on top of Link, under the blanket. "I have missed being this close to you." she smiled and kissed him. Resting her head on his chest, she closed her eyes to listen to his heart. "I love listening to your heart beat. Its a lovely sound."

"Me too love, me too" he said smiling, cuddling with her now, but then he laid his head back on his pillow to think. "I just wonder what will happen when my memories are finally brought back" he went silent for a little bit, "but, no matter who I actually am, all I know is that we'll be married one day and stay in love for the rest of our lives." He pulled her up as he could kiss her, still cuddling with her.

"I can't wait for that day to come, my love." Gabri Ella smiled as she kissed him in return. "No matter what Ryudo says, there is no way I can believe that you are a bad person." she said as she cuddle on top of him and fell asleep.

"Me too love..." he gave her one last kiss before she fell asleep, then he went to bed himself, hoping to once again have another peaceful rest. The sun rose into the sky, filling the room with light as it reached high enough, it woke up Link almost instantly, so he rubbed his eyes to get them used to light again. He looked at Gabri, sleeping peacefully on top of him, he smiled and kissed her, "wake up love, its morning" he whispered.

Her eyes opened slowly. Sophia smiled up at Link and kissed him gently. "Good morning, my darling," she said. Her night had been filled with dreams of happiness with Link at her side.

"How are you feeling today?"

"I'm good love, but, I'm even better since you're here to greet the day with me" he laughed lightly and rolled over, he was now on top of her, he gave her a gentle kiss. But, he had moved over and climbed out of bed, despite how much he just wanted to cuddle with her, their day off was over. As he put on his armor, he looked out the window, even though everything seemed peaceful, he had a bad feeling in the pit of his stomach, something from Holodrum was coming. "Love, keep your guard up, we may have a fight on our hands soon..." He said as he put on his gloves, then armguards, he tightened his hands into fists and put them back at his sides.

He was never able to make such predictions before, so it was a bit surprising to him how he could feel this way, he tried to not show his surprise though.

She got up from the bed and began to put her sword on and slipped her feet into her shoes. "I shall be careful, love, if you do the same." she said, finishing up and waiting for Link.

Gabri watched him put on his armor, "Are we going to breakfast?"

He turned around to face her, he smiled, "yes love, I'm not about to leave you alone again to be on look-out" he walked over to her and gave her a hug, then a kiss. He held her hand and started to head down the tower, to the kitchen for some breakfast. Some of the guards and soldiers were already at the table, enjoying some eggs with sausage and bacon, a bit rare to have for breakfast, so he sat down at an empty table and waited for Gabri to join him. One of the chef's assistants had come over with food already, it was what everyone else was having, but it still looked really good, she giggled and gave Gabri and Link a short bow, then she left to get others their food.

"This is so nice, but I have a feeling this moment will be ruined..." he said, then he started to eat his eggs, but before he could take this first bite, Shad had taken a seat across from them. "Hello Gabri" he said cheerfully, "hey Link..." he said with a bit of hatred behind his voice, Ryudo ended up sitting next to Shad, glaring at Link. "What did I just say?" He asked Gabri, folding his arms in frustration, "why can't you just leave us alone Shad? We just want to get through this morning and possibly the rest of the day in peace!"

Shad had a smirk on his face, "I didn't get a chance to thank you properly yesterday for the bump on the head you gave Ryudo and me, so..." he punched Link in the face, making him fly backwards and off his chair. Everyone turned and stared in surprise as they watched Link slowly get up from the ground, Link walked back to the table and grabbed Shad by his shirt again, he lifted him up into the air and then threw him, making him knock over an empty table, chairs piled up around him. "I'm getting tired of your bullshit, Shad! How many times do I have to tell you to leave us alone?!"

Shad slowly rose up from the pile of chairs and the now broken table, he coughed a little bit, holding his right side, he was just a bit sore, but he grew incredibly angry at Link, what else is new? He stood up and ran at Link, ready to beat him up, Link braced himself to defend against Shad's rage filled attack.

Gabri rose quickly from her seat beside the now standing Link. She grew ever so angry at Shad for what he was doing and his constant need to stir trouble. "Leave us alone!" she shouted at Shad as she moved in front of Link to protect him, holding her staff in front of her to attack Shad as he approached.

Shad skid to a stop as Gabri stood in front of Link, he was about to throw a punch and he would've hit her instead, he walked back a bit, still angry. Link's anger turned to surprise as Gabri ran in front of him, he watched Shad over her shoulders, Shad's anger only grew more fierce. "I hate you, Link! But, I can't do a thing if Gabri is defending you... come on Ryudo!" He shouted and stomped out of the kitchen, Ryudo ate the last of his breakfast and got up out of his chair, he ran after Shad without a second glance back. Link watched them go, he sighed and put his hand on Gabri's shoulder, "thank you, love."

He held his jaw, it was a bit sore from Shad's punch, but he'd get over it soon, "come now, we should finish up our breakfast before it gets cold..." He put his chair back up and pulled out her chair for her to sit. When she did, he pushed it in for her, then sat down himself. He did his best to chew his food, but found it difficult.

Gabri sat down after watching Shad and her brother disappear. She was so mad but forced herself to eat. "I hate him. I'm beginning to wish I could just run away from all this." she said as she forced bacon into her mouth.

"Shad really bothers me. And he wonders why I didn't choose him to spend all my free time with." Now she was just rambling to herself.

Once she finished her food, she finished rambling. She looked over to Link with an apologetic smile. "I'm sorry, love. But he really does bother me."

He had finished the rest of his breakfast right after her, "its alright love, I hate him just as much as you, possibly more" he smiled, but then stopped and held his jaw, it was still painful. "Perhaps we should go research about my past more now?" He asked her, "I think I left the book back up in my room" he stood up, then helped her up out of her chair. He gave her a hug and a kiss, then walked out of the kitchen, back to the privacy of his bedroom, holding her hand along the way.

"That sounds like a good idea. Calming, in fact," Gabri Ella replied, walking with Link to his room. "I'm glad I get to share this with you. Learning about your past with you." Then she smiled at him. "And it doesn't hurt that no one will bother us up there."

"I wouldn't want to share it with anyone else" he said smiling, "I just hope the king isn't upset that we're not on look-out duty..." he scratched his head nervously. He held open the bedroom door, after she entered he followed and closed the door behind him, he walked over to the table across the room from his bed, picking up the book. He removed his boots and sat on his bed, legs criss-crossed, he patted the bed, saying that Gabri could sit down by him.

He opened the book and browsed through the pages until he found the pages he left off at, seeing the picture of his ancestor, he turned the page, revealing a family tree of sorts. It led all the way down to the current year, it ended with a young man and woman, they had a son, it was Link, the picture in the book was just like him. "They must be my parents..." he said, touching the pictures of his parents and his fingers slid down slightly.

"I just wish that they would tell me more than this though!" He said as he turned the page, no other information about his parents and other ancestors was mentioned. He grew depressed, he wanted to know about his parents now, he had no idea if they were still alive or dead.

Gabri Ella removed her sword and sat her staff down. She removed her shoes and walked to the bed. Tucking her leg under her body, she sat next to him and looked at the book. Gabri giggled at the image of Link, "Look how cute you were," she said, teasingly.

She got serious when he got upset. "I'm sorry, love. Do you want to keep looking in the library?"

"No thanks love... we need to focus on looking out for the enemy now, sadly" he closed the book and placed it on the table by his bed, he sat on the edge of his bed and put back on his boots. He heard a bell ringing outside the window, "enemy spotted! Enemy spotted! Gather the troops!!" Shouted the look-out ringing the bell, Link grabbed his sword over by the door. "Come on Gabri, we have to hurry!" He waited for her by the door, when she was ready, he held her hand and kicked open the door, then he ran down the tower steps, squeezing her hand gently along the way.

Gabri Ella got her things on and ready as she rushed to the door. "I'm ready," she said as they began down the stairs. She was nervous of what might happen after she had just begun to think of a future for Link and her.

All of the soldiers were scrambling to get their weapons ready and started to head into the woods, where the enemy was coming from. Link and Gabri made it down the steps and outside just as the last few soldiers were starting to leave, he ran with her after them to catch up. Soon all of the soldiers were within the forest, he pushed through the crowd with Gabri so they could be more helpful, sadly, he found Shad and Ryudo up front. They didn't speak though, they just gave Link a short glare, they were too focused on the upcoming attack. As the army marched closer, something wasn't right with them, they wore the armor of Holodrum, but, it covered their whole bodies, you couldn't see their faces.

"Draw weapons!" Shouted Shad, the soldiers drew their swords, axes and bows, as did Link, Shad and Ryudo equip theirs. The army stopped across the forest, their battlefield had been cleaned of trees, but there were trees around them, to preserve the forest. The opposite army had their weapons ready for battle, a moment of silence, everyone looked at each other, then Link took a deep breath, "ATTACK!!" He shouted, the rest of the army shouted with him and ran at the enemy. The enemy charged, the only sound they made was their metal boots shaking the earth, Link cut down the first enemy. He looked in surprise and confusion as the fallen enemy collapsed into an empty pile of armor, they weren't real soldiers, but he didn't say anything and just continued defending himself against the enemy.

He fought through the crowd to find Gabri, when he did, he stood behind her and sliced down the enemy to defend her back. A simple stab of the sword, or just one arrow would make the enemy fall apart, making it surprisingly easy, but their numbers were the only thing causing difficulty.

Gabri had her staff in one hand and sword in the other. She attacked using both weapons, taking down one enemy at a time. Sometimes even two or three. Gabri found herself fighting back to back with Link, protecting each other as lovers would.

Their numbers were overwhelming, sometimes he would slice an enemy with his sword, then punch another and kick one sneaking up on him, each time they would simply collapse into rubble. It was the same for every other soldier, it was annoying, but with everyones combined efforts, the enemies numbers began to dwindle. Pretty soon, there were only about 20 left, and Link's side had every soldier it started with, everyone charged and struck them down, Link sliced the last enemy's helmet clean off, it collapsed. The soldiers then cheered, enjoying their victory, leaving with only a few cuts and bruises on most of them, but Link, Shad and Ryudo did not cheer, they were confused.

Link ran back to Gabri, he checked her over for any injuries, "are you alright, love?" He asked, sounding worried.

Gabri Ella smiled up at Link as she wiped her blade on a cloth. "Not a scratch, my love." she said, looking him over. "And you?" her face growing serious as she sheathed her sword.
