Uzume sighed. She knew she was selfish, wanting the sun to set and suit her mood.
"I'm...fine!" she put on a smile. She might have been selfish, but she cared too much about her friend to make her worry about it...plus, it was her brother! That might be awkward.
"I'm just...not feeling like my super beautiful self right now." She sighed and flopped back onto the grass and closed her eyes.
She was listening to the music on nature, of the swaying breeze and rustling leaves. It helped calm her.

(( Wanted to say, I love Uzume's attitude. XD ))

Kaguyami began walking through the forest, as she did most days, when she began to wonder about Lelouch, and how long she's been friends with him.

"I know I promised to stay a maiden, but I've known him for so long, and I trust him with all my heart, even though I don't exactly show it.." She whispered to the wind, which was rustling through the leaves of the bamboo and cherry trees.

She stopped at a nearby orange tree, and plucked one of the luscious, citrus fruit from the lower branches, before sitting down to eat it.

"Maybe it's time to start find a boyfriend, or husband, I've been a maiden for ages, and I've already said I trust Lelouch with my everything.." She whispered again, but this time, the words were directed at a small chipmunk, who was nibbling on a section of orange that Kaguyami had given him.

"If you say so..." Izayoi replied looking at the girl. These random fits were common with her due to her personality. She couldn't hold anything against Uzume. People even gods were as they were, and there was no changing that.

"You know you're just like him when he was little. I remember some days he would do as you had. And no real rhyme or reason for it." Izayoi told her with a soft chuckle.


Lelouch was already on his way to Edo; a frown painted on his face. His shoulders never felt so heavy. His man had come back letting him know he'd placed the letter in the care of her father. This only made Lelouch worry. He seemed collected on the outside, but inside he was having a panic attack.

The chipmunk had finished his segment of fruit, as did Kaguyami, so she began to walk towards the edge of the crystal lake, which sparkled in the mid-morning sun.
"Lelouch, I know you can't hear me, but please, let the wind carry this message to you.."

Kaguyami slowly pulled a small scroll of prayer slip parchment from her pock, and began to write on it, using, oddly enough, the water from the lake.
She wrote gracefully, her characters swept across the paper in time with the wind, and eventually, she had finished her message, and she held it in her palm.

The paper slip read - "Lelouch, my secret love, my best friend, please, let the wind speak to you with this message, I love you, and I will always love you." Suddenly, the wind picked up, and the paper was gone in an instant, carried along by a warm breeze, bound for Lelouch's grasp.

Lelouch had been going over paper work as they drove off. It was hard to write, but at least he could read over and plan out what he needed to do. The wind outside had seemed to pick up out of no where. It was blowing his hair around and whipping him in the face. Without looking up from his work he closed the window of his carriage.

The note that was heading right for his open window was stopped as he closed it. The window being made of bamboo and straw he was unable to see it stuck to the side of his car. Once to Edo he got out and quickly sent his cargo to his proper ports. The note had slid of his car, and into the dirt. Lelouch was normally oblivious to things around him when he worked and so he never saw it.

Kaguyami, now feeling like she had a weight lifted off her chest, set out for the market.

"Guess I'll have to wait for a reply.." She said to herself, sighing slightly.
The wind was still quite warm, but suddenly, it turned stronger, and stronger, until she looked back at the lake, to see if something was wrong.
"Hello, darling." A husky, yet airy voice called out to her, from the edge of the lake, the source of the intense wind.

Fujin, the God of the Winds, was standing over the water, with wisps of cloud swirling around his chiselled chest and arms, while his long, flowing robe fluttered around his legs and waist.
"Fujin.. nice to see you again." Kaguyami smiled, then bowed slightly, advancing towards him.

"No need to bow, sweetheart." Fujin chuckled, then floated towards her, his feet starting to touch the ground. "How have you been? I've missed you." He said, walking towards her for a friendly hug.

"I've been fine, what about you?" She replied, hugging him gently.

"I've been fine as well, floating around Nippon and such. Took a nice trip to Kamui recently, nearly froze my ass off." He smiled again, and let go of the hug.

Kaguyami giggled, then started to walk alongside him, the wind slightly trailing behind the couple, rustling the leaves and the flowers in the forest.

(Haha, thanks! When I read up on her I was like 'I LOVE YOU!' XD but ....platonically. Yeah...put some clothes on.)
Uzume's eyes turned to to her friends, they were wide, curious.
"Really?" She gestured for the girl to turn so she could braid her hair, she always loved playing with it. It was like gold, spun into the finest silk... Almost as beautiful as her own!

"Tell me more?" She asked, almost shyly as she began to play with her friends golden tresses.

Izayoi turned and sat straight so she could work. She loved when people played with her hair; it was relaxing and comforting.

"I just remember how every now and then he'd run off to mother and cry. He always seemed so angry during those times." She said softly as her eyes closed. Remembering the past and relishing in the feeling.

"I guess that's what we would expect from a fire deity." She chuckled.

Uzume let out a giggle as she started to braid the girls hair, a complicated french braid that she liked to have people give her sometimes.

"Really? I could see that! Oooh, sooo cute!" she cooed "and I bet you were adorable yourself, little Izayoi."

She could picture him all tiny and cute, crying for his mother, growing up to be the strong, hunk of a God that he was today. Volatile temper...she liked it! It added a little spice to any situation. Plus, she knew she could soothe him....

And thus she went into one of her epic daydreams.

Izayoi was still pretty oblivious to anything Uzume was getting at. Letting her play with her hair she looked back at her to see a strange look she knew all to well. Her friend was daydreaming like she always did. Although she never knew what was going though her mind, she figured it was something amazing.

By the look on her face.
"Uzume....what are you thinking about?" She finally asked.

After spendng some time with Fujin at the market, much to the awe of villagers, Kaguyami decided to go home for a while.
"I'll see you around, Fujin." She smiled and kissed him on the cheek, much to his delight.

"Yes, of course, my princess." He joked, returning the kiss, before slowly floating off into the sky, carried by the beautifully refreshing winds.

Kaguyami watched him fly off into the distance, then she walked into her house, when her father handed her a letter.
"From Lelouch." He said with a nod of his head, before returning to the game of Koi-Koi he was playing in the sunken part of the living area.

Kaguyami smiled as she opened the letter, wondering what Lelouch had written.
She scanned the letter with her eyes, and much to her surprise.. He propsed to her.
Kaguyami dropped the letter, her hands shaking slightly, and her breath shortened.
"He actually proposed to me?!" She thought, not knowing she was smiling like never before.
"What's wrong?" Her father asked from across the room, when he saw her drop the scroll.

"N-nothing, just a chill." She said shakily, fumbling for the letter on the floor.
She sighed, then clucthed the letter to her chest, running upstairs to her room.

Lelouch sighed finally getting out of his last appointment for the day. The sky was dark, and showed signs of rain any moment now. He was still unset over leaving Kaguyami so prematurely, but he knew she understood.

He walked off to the Inn that was also a tea house. Ordering some sake to help calm his mind and relax. There was no way he could leave tonight, he still had some business in the morning.
Looking over some things he knew if he wanted to see Kaguyami again he'd have to put of seeing Izayoi for a day or more.

"What am I to do?" He sighed to himself.

Kaguyami jumped onto her bed of bamboo and silk, and clutched the letter like a child would hug a doll. "I can't believe it! Why would he want me to marry him? ME of all people?" She was still smiling, as brightly as ever, when it dawned on her.

"I have to see him, as soon as I can.." She put the letter in her pocket and began to think.
"He said he was going to visit his sister.. so maybe I could follow him, and meet him there, maybe stay for a few days before returning home.." She contemplated it, then decided to go.

"I'll tell father in a moment, but I'll have to make something up.. unfortunately." She sighed, while she proceeded to pack a silken satchel with an extra kimono, her fan, some fruit and cakes, and her favorite hairpin, made by her father when she turned 16 mortal years.

She walked downstairs and sat next to her father and mother, who were now at the kitchen table, preparing bamboo shoots.
"Mother, father, I'm off to Sayota, I plan on visiting some shrines and I might do a little shopping, or prospecting for new bamboo shipments, if that's all right with you.

Her mother and father looked at each other and nodded, then looked back at Kaguyami.
"Yes, you may go sweetheart, but please, be careful of the Aokigahara Forest.. Please." They tried to smile, then both ended up hugging her tenderly.

"Come back and arrive safe, my daughter." Her father whispered, praying for her safety.
"I will." And with that, and a wave, she was off to see Lelouch.

Uzume's pale complexion turned cherry red and she looked away from her friend, grinning like a fiend.
"Not much." she said, voice clear as a bell
"The music of the breeze, clouds floating, the humans down below."

"And of specific people, of demons, gods and spirits I've met in the past. I think I may go dancing tonight." she chirped out the last part randomly.

Honestly, she danced wherever she went, but sometimes she made a loud ruckus when she did so. She caused nature to sing loudly in a way that even humans could hear it!

Izayoi got up with a smile.
"Its getting late. I'm going to make sure everything is ready for brother when he comes." She smiled before running off. Waving goodbye to her friend. This places wasn't so bad as long as there was so one to be with.
Once home she made sure to have a room ready for him. Dusting and cleaning up before she decided to call it a night.

Lelouch had fallen asleep after about his second bottle of sake. It wasn't the smartest thing since he woke up with a headache. Still he got up and went to his last appointment. It didn't take as long as he thought, but he still couldn't go see Kaguyami. He promised to see Izayoi and now was as good a time as ever. With the rain coming he was sure it would be nothing but sun on Sayota. So he decided on seeing her after his trip.

Kaguyami began to walk through the town, waving to the occasional person who was shopping or gardening.

She eventually arrived at the edge of the Yomagarni Hills, a fragrant meadow of flowers, famous for the kindly imps, that lived in homes made of leaves and petals.
There were a few of them as she walked across the hills, most of them were playing lutes or othe string instruments, whilst the others danced and sang, throwing flower-heads in the air, while their happy looking wooden masks clunked on their faces, making an odd noise.

Kaguyami kept thinking about what Lelouch might say if he caught her following him to Sayota to visit Izayoi.
"He might think I'm some sort of stalker or something." She giggled at the fact that Lelouch might assume something so mean, especially ince it was HIM, he was always kind, and cared for very much apparently.

Lelouch knew it wouldn't take long to get there when he was alone. Grabbing a horse, and his personal belongings he ordered all his men home. He rode as quickly as he could before the rain came down. It started slow at first, but picked up by mid day. His hair clung to his face as the rain turned to steam against his skin.

It was wrong of him to use his powers for such a small thing, but he hated damp clothing. Once at the edge of the lake he let his horse go free like he normally did. There he waited as the water formed steps for him. He wasn't able to just get up there like his mother and Izayoi could. Once up and out of the rain he set himself on fire quickly drying himself completely.

"Izayoi!" He called out to her as he neared her home.

Kaguyami contonued to walk through villages and mountains, occasionally sleeping under trees, which is where she was most comfortable.
She eventually reached a small town near the lake where she could access Sayoto, when she decided to change into her second kimono, so she might look a little more elegant amongst the beautiful goddesses on Sayoto.

She climbed into a tall plum tree, concealed by the blossoms, she quickly changed, combed her hair, and put her hairpin on.
Satisfied with her new outfit, she jumped from the tree and picked up her satchel once again, before venturing off to the lake beneath Sayoto.
She stopped at the edge of the water, and pulled out a prayer slip, which she began to write on.

The spell was a charm for manipulating water, and as she dropped the slip of paper into the water, sparkling columns of water rose like pedestals, each one higher than the other, until she was halfway towards Sayoto.
"Guess Lelouch must be there already, since he wasn't in the village.." She said to herself, walking along the columns at a steady pace.

Uzume sang to herself as she danced beside the golden tree. It's branches swayed to the beat and flowers bloomed, singing as they did. She was pefectly in tune with nature, spirits and imps and other creatures joined in and out of the dance.

For hours she danced, never bored, never tired. Just full of fun. She had danced to make the sun set, and then rise.
She continued her merriment until-

"Izoyai!" she heard HIS voice. With a happy squeal her music rose to a crescendo and then stopped. She ran towards Izoyai's house and let out a giggle as Lelouch walked towards the house. Uzume stayed hidden behind a tree as he walked over.

Her urge to touch and be with him was strong, and she knew that she should wait for him to see Izoyai..but she couldn't help herself.

She tackled him.

To the ground.

Oh...how unladylike...

Kaguyami was at the last step of the aquatic staircase, when she jumped onto the floating earth of Sayoto. "Guess I'm finally here." She whispered to the sky, which was beautifully lit by the sun. "Lelouch?" She caled out, seeing if he was nearby, or if she would have to go searching for his sister's house.

Lelouch fell to the ground with Uzume on top of him. His face was red as he tried to find a way to get her off. Only in her current clothing any place he touched was relatively open and so he just kept his hands off of her.
"Nice to see you too." He said with an awkward smile just as he heard Kaguyami call for him. He quickly rolled the girl off of him and went running of in the direction her voice came from.
"Kaguyami?!" He called back wondering how in the world she got here.

"Lelouch?" Kaguyami called out, wondering where his voice was coming from.
She started to walk towards a small meadow of flowers, before she realized the voice was approaching her. "I'm over here!" She added, quite happy that she found him.

Uzume frowned and pointed to herself with both hands.
"Uh, Uzume? Yes, the great Uzume, you just ignored her, hello!"

But he seemed to completely ignore her, so enthralled with this other girl. She fought the urge to frown openly, but her mouth twitched and forced the muscles downward as her fingers dug into the grass.

How DARE he ignore her for another woman...How dare SHE just barge into this out of nowhere, like she was a contender for his love from the start! Obviously it was just Uzume herself for these past years, pining for his heart and trying to make it obvious. It was painfully obvious what she wanted!

And so she lunged, embracing him from behind and resting her head atop his shoulder, her pink eyes skating over the girl in front of her.
"My my Lelouch, and who is this?" She purred, resting her cheek against his shoulder and speaking into his ear. "A friend from earth?"
((nooo! XD Don't be a bitch Uzume!...oh, screw it XD))

Lelouch nearly jumped when Uzume grabbed him. Looking before him only to see Kaguyami. Having another girl hang on him made him feel as if he just betrayed her. He could only imagine what she thought about. Lelouch looked back quickly at the goddess latched onto his back.
"Get off Uzume" He growled at her slightly trying not to be so rude; but she was going to potentially screw up his only chance with Kaguyami.

Izayoi heard a lot of commotion outside which was odd for such an isolated place. Looking out her window she saw her brother, and of course Uzume hanging on him. She just sighed unaware that Kaguyami was there as well. Walking outside she just smiled brightly.
"Uzume you can't hug brother till I have!" she smiled running up to them.

Uzume giggled and let go of Lelouch.
Slowly, but subtle. Letting her hands trail off his chest.
"Oh, I'm sorry Izoyai! I just got so excited." She gave him a peck on the cheek before backing off, letting his sister hug him instead.

Inside her chest ached at how he spoke to her. He was angry....
