I'm in my schools gay-straight-alliance and to raise funds we are hosting a cross-dressed fashion show. I will be participating in this and i was wondering if anyone has tips on how to go from very girly, to super Manly?
I have no clue and i desperately need help. (also it would help if your advice didn't involve spending 100s of dollars on guy clothes.)

This belongs in General Discussion since it is more leaning towards a discussion about cross dressing and how to more efficiently cross dress.
I will be moving it there shortly. I will leave a redirect up for 1 day from Life Issues.
Editing out of Moderator text: To avoid double posting and having to remember to come back later.
According to your poll. Straight people are cross dressers. Gay people wear rainbow colors only, and Bisexuals where Pink, Purple and Blue. Why are you associating colors to sexual orientations? Why are you also associating all straight people to cross dressers.
Now, as for the Drag Show. Since that is what a 'Cross Dressing Fashion Show' is. If you are going to go under a male alias for this show. You should get male clothing. Afterwords you should wear a sports bra or pushup bra to make your breasts look smaller. Maybe have someone skilled in art, or at least enough to do facial hair to draw that on you. The few drags shows I have been to I know a chick who did an amazing job at making me believe she was a guy I knew from highschool. >>; Was kind of freaky.

I'm straight, and I would so cross dress if I had the time. Sadly, I never get out much and I never really want to. But if I was ever with a group of my friends, we would so dress up as the opposite genders. I did that last year for a Halloween party at my friend's house. It's really fun, and it doesn't mean your gay. o.o Also, I don't really get what your asking..

I'm a straight male...but I would so totally cross dress, if it weren't so frowned upon. When I was in rehearsal for the play Little Women I'd always get dressed up in the hoop skirts and bonnets. I absolutely loved it...plus, it was hilarious because I was the only natural at functioning normally in the skirt, heh.
The farthest I've gone in everyday life is I wear woman's pants because they're so darn comfortable, and I've also got me a nice pair of heels that look like they could be guy shoes if it weren't for the 2 3/4" heel. Umm...I also wear bracelets with butterflies and hearts, lol!
@Michelle: You're right that it doesn't make you gay, but if you make a habit out of it it means you're a tranny, hehehe! That's why I haven't gone for the dresses, because being a tranny just doesn't sound all that right. >.>
Edit: Also, I've been toying with the idea of a gender switched wedding...not sure my family would go for it, but it'd be pretty darn amazing, lol!

Haha, I love going to school dances when I dress up really funny. About three or four dances ago, (we have one every month or so), I had a tie and a top hat. I wanted rain boots, but I used converse. My friend (not really my friend, but she sometimes talk to me when I see her in the halls. Plus she's one year older.) dressed as a guy, though she's one you see in the wall wearing really punkish clothes all the time. But she's still awesome. xD
The wedding = Epic win. xD

I chose the 'other' option.
Pansexual here. hehe. Just means that gender doesn't factor into attraction for me.
Wikipedias definition is good if you don't understand what I'm saying.
As for female-to-male cross dressing... I'm not really sure.
Um, you could bandage your breasts down and have your hair in a more boyish style. If you're willing, get it cut.
Don't wear form fitting clothing either. I think that's a given though.
Good luck! =]
-edit-
A gender switch wedding? That's so cool! =D

Apart from making your breasts look smaller with a special bra [don't know how they're called >.>], you can use a wig, or cut your hair, or just make your hair look boyish.
Manly clothes... if you don't have boyish clothes in your closet, you will have to buy them. Or, you could ask your male friends to let you borrow some clothes from them :) Think of clothes a girl usually doesn't wear. Maybe a polo shirt would be a nice choice? Or maybe a very baggy t-shirt. Or maybe put on a cap, and then a hoodie on it xD It all comes down to your resources and your creativity :P

:3 well, I've cross dressed once while I was in Japan.
I bound my chest, wore a black jacket a few sizes larger than I actually was,
and wore loose jeans that I stole from my friend (held up with a belt!)
For hair, I bought a simple black wig and styled it with gel. I wore a fedora over the wig
to keep it from falling off, clipped on some manly accessories (ties, chains..etc), and BOOM; instant man.
-_____-; course, my friends said I looked like a very girly boy... but ah well!

I tried to cross dress with my sister once but I feel wrong in a dress. It was all confusing and stuff. But for you maybe do one of the following:
1: The jock. Wear sports pants, and a jersey or something, with basketball shoes, and a headband.
2:Mr Business man. Wear a suit and tie. Use your dads. :ninja:
Edit:Response to poll: ...What's with the only straight choice being cross dresser too?
Reminds me of a movie called The Superhero Movie. There was a quiz online from a doctor. Dragonfly (the hero) was checking it out because he was bit by a dragonfly and felt weird here's how it went:
Quote:
What's wrong?
1.I have a headache
2.I want to know whats up with britnay.
3. I was bit by a bug. (chose this one)
Are you feeling pain?
1.Yes
2.No (chose this one)
Are you sexually active?
1.Yes (chose this one)
2.No
You better not be lying to me!
1.I'm not! (chose this one)
2.Sorry I'm a virgin
Seriously, you can tell me anything. I'm a doctor!
1.Okay I'm a virgin (only answer)(chose this one)
HAHA ARE YOU SHITTING ME WHAT A LOSER?
end quiz.

I totally can't get away with cross-dressing. My face is too feminine, I just look like a badly-dressed girl. :(
But yeah, one of the most effective things that helps with female-to-male cross-dressing (that a lot of people often forget), is to focus on your eyebrows.
Making them look heavier by just penciling them in a bit, and penciling underneath, can really help your face look more masculine.

Well, I reccomend going to Cosplay.com's Crossplay fourm for some info on cross-dressing. I've dressed as a boy before and found what they had to say very useful. I went from a girl, to a very passable boy... How passable? I got hit on by a gay guy. >>;;

I'm straight, to answer the first inquiry. As for crossdressing... I was always mistaken for a boy when I was young (I liked to go outdoors and go camping, I loved snakes, frogs and the like) so crossdressing/gender never phased me. I would probably crossdress, if I wasn't so obviously feminine. I actually miss the days when I was androgynous, even if it was when I was young. :)

When it comes to binding the chest, a cheap way that I've seen a few girls do is with a thick ace bandage. I knew a girl with Ds who crossdressed using an ace bandage, and it just made her chest look like she had firm pectoral muscles. If you want to be really authentic, grow out the leg hair (as odd as that sounds).
