Ohayou-gozaimasu, Mitsu-kun.

Mei- I can't think of Denmark without thinking of Shakespeare's Hamlet... where everyone dies! What do you think of that lovely mental image left in everyone's mind by the playwright from centuries ago?

Mits: Yummy, what tea are you drinking? At get me some of those scones too XD

Crow: Yes sometimes I do, that, or the slaughtering and murdering brutal vikings ^^
But we are a lot more peaceful now, 'cept them punk and goth kids from Copenhagen... and the gangs in the ghettos of Copenhagen (if you can call that ghetto) but we're not that bad really....

Mai: when ever i think of Denmark i think of my evil cool friend who calls me a Nazi because im part german and her Hetalia cosplay. Also hitting me randomly with a giant form Larping fireaxe. It was painful, well it wasnt but i protended it was.

As for tea, just a standard breakfast tea, I have quite alot of herbal ones in the house though for different times of day and different modes. right then seems like we all need some scones.

~makes everyone tea and scones~

hay Naoto-chan unjoy the food ^^.

I know of a couple of tea places that I simply adore. One is a tea bar in San Francisco "Leland Tea Co." where they have all kinds of blends, and cookies and scones, salads, sandwhiches, and homemade soups...

There's another place a little bit closer though in the opposite direction called "The English Rose". They're only open for Breakfast and Luncheon, and I can enjoy some tea and crumpets there.

Both places are fairly tiny in size, 'hole in the wall', but with alot of character packed into them. I must confess that they are some of my favorite places to kill time, when I am able.

Naoto-chan Breakfast scones, idk. I dont normally eat them.

They sound like two nice places but the English Rose? is that talking about the Lancashire red rose or the Yorkshire white rose?

Here... I'll just find the websites for each of the places I've mentioned... you all are making me want to pay them a visit.

Leland Tea Co - Voted Best Tea in San Francisco 2008

The English Rose - A cozy place to have tea

I guess it's my old, old British heritage coming through, but I never made the "American" transition to coffee when we were a colony and boycotted tea.

My surname is Clay and my dad has traced our family coming from Wales. I met a gentleman by the name of Everett who works at the gift shop of Grace Cathedral (Episcopal/Anglican), and he, too said he had an ancestor from Wales who also predated the famous 'Pilgrims'. We had ancestors as shipmates x_X

Mei: there is a nice shop in Manchester on what we call the food market. Just a little area full of food stalls and a bit of seating. But they have a tea shop there that sells 100 different type of teas. Last time i was there i had nettle tea. It was really nice lol.

Crow, oh they are a red rose thats good then! Manchester used to be part of Lancashire until it became an indipendent county. The countys cricket team still play in our city though an we were the red roses in the english civil war so, go red!

Mits: Maybe Manchester should be my next visit then xD But I also have to visit Camden market again... and west end... there's still so many plays that I haven't seen, and gothic dresses that I haven't bought :/ And it's not like we have a whole street with either of those in Denmark >_< Plus it's not as expensive as going to The States or Japan as an example xD

I should attempt to familiarise myself with the English counties. I know loads of names, but very little idea of how they relate to each other.

I knew a handful of internet friends who lived in Hutton, Brentwood, Essex.

I also have a good friend who lives in Plypton, Plymouth, Devon.

For a while I knew a few folks in Sheffield.

I also have a roleplaying character who has a "Broad Common Yorkshire" accent of the late 1800's.

Mei: and the food market is amazing, you have lots of different foods from all around the world. There is a chainese and an idians, greek, and pancake shop the tea shop an engliah sweet stall. It is amazing...

I would have to take you done the curry mile as well. That place kicks ass, its a mile of nothing but takeways and resturant. They are all open to 4am every night for people coming back from town. You go out drinking or to a club get the bus home get off there and go in a resturant for a curry at 3 in the morning.

Mits: You know that's what I love about England, your shop's opening and closing time ^^ It's not as stressful as in Denmark, where about everything closes at 6 pm latest, and the restaurants at 10 pm >_>

That's funny. I've gone out with people after the (goth/industrial) clubs are done for the night. There's not very much open that late, but there is a chain called "Curry 'N Na'an" that is open 24 hours I believe.

It's kind of funny to imagine folks in England doing the same thing... curry after clubbing XD

Crow: we have the best curry shops in England because we have the curry mile. Every takeway is in competition to be just as good as them open on the mile because if they arent they wont get any customers. Means there is alot of choice when it comes to food, because of that.

you order a kebaba anywhere in england 99% of the time youll get it severed in pitter bread. Manchester is the only city i know of that severs everything in Nana bread like its surpose to be because the takeways know they cant get away with it here because of the Curry mile.

Mei: shop opening times depend on where you go. some towns still have everything that close at 5. Most shops in the city centre are open til about 8 for people coming back from work and such.
