Thank you kindly *bows elegantly*. I still do not even have a 'complete' outfit (I need an overshirt or overcoat to cover up the day-glow arms), but I figured it is worth it to drop 30g here and 30g there if it's going to save someone circa a week or so of discomfort with having a nekkid avatar. The only 'problem' at first was that I had to create a female mule to be able to purchase the female version, then I trade it to myself. I also encourage folks to pass along (rather than sell back) the starter garb, because somebody out there will sure as hell appreciate it.

@ meat - I agree. Sell back for it is only 15 gold, which you can make rather quickly in the forums once you have a handle on how gold making works and many newbies would really would appreciate the kind gesture of getting a piece of clothing. That was a very good idea you cam up with :D
@ Sarah - I gave Gaia money once and vowed never to do it again. I personally don't find it worth it. Gaia ticks me off so much these days and they're so ban happy it's ridiculous XP But that's just me

well that's cool. I had some followers when I did post on there, but seeing as I haven't been on like four years I'm sure they are either gone from the site as well or long since forgot about me. Haha. I don't really mind. I wasn't big into deviant even when I did post on it

Are you talking about those "offers"? Aside from the Netflix one which is fairly legit, somebody did research on almost all the offers and found out they had HORRID Better Business Bureau raitings... they sell out your address, phone number, and other information for money even if you don't buy anything, and I've seen screenshots of Spybot Search and Destroy, a reknowned and trustworthy anti-spyware program picking up things on someone's computer that was put there after said person tried the cash offers. So unless you have really good fake information (and don't 'fess up to it), I would recommend not touching those things with a ten foot pole. They are malicious, and will hurt you in one way or another.

Ah, I see. I just stick to sites like Gaia and this one to chat around. Haha. I'd be confused if I had like three chat site things going on because there would be so many people. Haha
@ Meat - ya, I knew those things were scams from the start, I refused to touch them. Gaia really pissed me off with that move. Way to screw over your users! Geez, what they hell are they on these days?

I just evade them since there's no ones I'd want to send all the junk to. Just as well for me really, a lot of people don't get the Gaia Cash from them and I'm usually only on Gaia when I'm multi tasking. I rarely on it for the soul sake of having fun these days. What I get for being an oldbe on there I suppose. Having been a member for six years I'm kinda bored of it. Haha. The friends I have on there are fun to chat though. It's one of the few reason I still go on there (easily able to multi task with it is the other main reason. Haha)

You have to be careful when putting in false information.
See, your IP address resolves to a hostname so they know which city you're typing the information from. I did *one* with false information, I use my old address and phone number from when I lived 3,000 miles away, and haven't lived there for... almost 15 years.
But still, if there are some that require a credit card, even if they don't charge (at first, fine print, yadda yadda), you could end up messing up your parents' credit score, too. There are just so many things to watch out for.
I think EVERYBODY should have an email address that is a dedicated spamtrap. I know I do.

@ Meat - yep, I have like, 4 spam emails XD I just choose one for whatever I'm signing up for that I don't want to pay attention to. I signed up to this on one of them, though the one I used it's uber trapped with spam. It's only slightly so. I try to keep my 3 main emails separate from stuff like this (3 main emails is crazy as it is - one from college, my professional email, and my yahoo one I use for things like ebay and amazon and fanfiction.net)
