Hello!! I am new here! I am looking to make lots of friends! I found this place from Facebook of all places and decided to check it out.

Kuro: yeah i guess, I'm working out the odds of something happening. so doing alot of maths work in excel and not just chatting away in this topic like i normally do.

I have returned to lurk. I would have instructed jokusan on how to merge her posts, but that will probably be a waste of, well, ASCII characters as she's not online. Yes, I noticed that you posted the "collection of helpful links for newbies (if they actually read them)". If you can catch them online I believe it is best to be "Psst..." and get straight to the point.

Heck, I, myself have gotten a 'friendly reminder' on this account about a rule I mis-interpreted. It was concerning foreign languages. I posted two short sentences and two short asides : Basically, welcome to menewsha, if you have any questions ask me (I only speak a little spanish; God I hope my spanish isn't horrible) but for some reason that didn't fall under the 'occasional word or phrase' "okay" side of the rule, it fell on the "Paragraphs and so on" not okay side of the rule. I was curious as to what they considered a paragraph as I don't even consider that half a paragraph, and that is clearly illustrated by how much I normally type in English. However, it actually got passed to a second mod for judgement and he ruled that since my whole post was in a non-English language it violated the rule.

I tried to state in as much of a non-argumentative way as possible that I DID read the site rules concerning that matter, and that my judgement at the obscure hour (such as now) was a little off the mark.

I suppose that goes with my character persona as well. In the movie, at one point he gives the skateboarding Sara a "bear hug" off her skateboard to keep her from getting run over by a car, and she yells obscenities both at her lifesaver and the car in return.

It bothers me when good intentions aren't always acknowledged as such.
