It's kind of useless to make a thread if you only allow people who agree with you to post. There would be little discussion. Just ego stroking.
I do believe in ghosts however, as there are a TON in our school. Just ask Elsa. There is no classroom that lacks a ghost. Some of them are good friends with the students, some are... malevolent. Some just lie there, forever stuck on their moment of death.

If you did, you'd get desensitized tot he feeling of ghosts. I studied there since kindergarten (Though the preschool and elementary divisions are being phased out leaving only the High School and College divisions...) but I'm still able to 'feel' ghosts. Not see them really. But I have a few supernatural abilities of my own. Ask Elsa about my precognitive dreams and my ability o sense someone I'm looking for. That and being able to go unnoticed. People think I'm creepy because I apparently suddenly disappear and reappear.
I would have been able to see ghosts, since it's in my bloodline. But living basically my whole life there (I was even born in the school's hospital.) I got desensitized to ghosts. You need to live in a low-ghost area then move to a high-ghost area. I also bring technology with me, usually just a USB drive, since ghosts apparently dislike technology that appears after their time.

I have the ability to hide, move quietly, and attack my prey. Useless on the supernatural. :[

I know Robert the Doll! He's so freaky. I read about it online a long time ago and he freaked me out so much. He's kind of cool though. If I lived in Florida I would visit him all the time.
Nothing scary ever happened to me but I really believe in ghosts. I'm actually in a paranormal team lol. We go ghost hunting almost every weekend in the summer. But I still never seen ANYTHING yet! I hate that fact. I think I haven't seen anything because I want to so badly.

Probably "Mandy the Possessed doll" especially because I got to see her while on a road trip. I read about it in some book. Creeped me out after a while.
But I love reading creepypasta and crap like that.

Supernatural/paranormal things and whatnot always give me the creeps. Every time I read a story about that kind of stuff, it gets hard for me to sleep, for a week.
In Malaysian folklore, there are LOTS (trust me, lots) of ghost/spirit stories.
Robert the doll, huh? I'm scared, and I'm a wimp ;_;

I've got a ghost story favorite... but I've never gotten to visit the place. Apparently there's this hotel, and it's haunted by an event that keeps replaying itself. Most guests experience it without even realizing it's not really there, but it only ever happens to people once most of the time.
So you get out of the elevator on a certain floor, and you hear a little girl screaming. Not like scary scream, just like... 'I hate my mom!' sort of scream. And she runs at you from the stair well, stops to tell you about how horrible her mother is, and that if she asks, she didn't get on the elevator. And she runs into the elevator behind you before it closes.
The hotel would get a lot of complaints about the wailing upset girl, and they kept getting the same story, even if the hotel was empty. They usually make the noob luggage pushers go up there to experience it for themselves. I wish I could remember where I read about that... (Oi, I did some research and I sort of found it. I actually found a whole bunch of ghost stories for my entire state! http://www.evergreenparanormal.com/H...ashington.html Yay! Haunted places I can visit.) <--- If you look up the Mount Baker Hotel it's mentioned on that site, but it was the site I first heard about it from, so it doesn't have the stuff about her running into the elevator. @ [email protected]

I guess I love the legends that they have on the Lexington in Corpus Christi, Texas. If you stay overnight on the huge retired aircraft carrier (I believe you have to be in the scouts), you can go late at night and listen to the ghost stories about the Lexington. My favorite one is about a blond-haired, blue-eyed ghost that randomly shows up in different parts of the Lexington.

well i do believe in ghosts
and urban legends
cause it happened to a friend of mine
something described exactly the same in an urban legend
and i know she's telling the truth
cause when i wanted to go there too
she said 'okay'
and we went to the graveyard she went
and we saw a crying child,
with green glowing eyes
i just couldn't believe it
when we got close,
she slowly faded away
we saw on the grave stone she was crying at
that a 8 year old girl died
we both thought it was her

Well I live in the great state of New Jersey where we have our own magazine, Weird New Jersey, that started all the others.
It's awesome because it shows you like funky places to visit. Then it gives you all the Urban Legends of New Jersey.
The closest to me is Annie's Road. Here's an article: http://www.weirdnj.com/index.php?opt...d=15&Itemid=28
Then my friends and I went to Demon's Alley: http://www.weirdnj.com/index.php?opt...d=68&Itemid=28
There's also the Devil's Tower that I've been to: http://www.weirdnj.com/index.php?opt...d=66&Itemid=28
The Devil's Tree: http://www.weirdnj.com/index.php?opt...d=71&Itemid=28
Clinton Road: http://www.weirdnj.com/index.php?opt...d=58&Itemid=28
And finally our most famous, The Jersey Devil: http://www.weirdnj.com/index.php?opt...=106&Itemid=28
Now, Urban Legend and Hauntings are different things. An Urban Legend is an apocryphal, secondhand story told as true and just plausible enough to be believed, about some horrific, embarrassing, ironic, or exasperating series of events that supposedly happened to a real person. Now since Urban Legends have been passed down so many times, they could actually be very much fake. Only some parts being slightly true.
A haunting is that which one mind sees. If I went to a haunted hotel, I could have the experiences of that myself. Though a haunting would be easier if I had not been told of anything that has happened to someone else. Urban Legends have been passed down and one's mind might be so set on seeing something that they are deceived and see something remotely like it.
Yet, don't get me wrong I believe in ghosts. Actually possessing the ability to feel what they feel and know that they are around. A friend and I are putting together an investigation team that we hope to soon get started. It's taking a little bit longer than planned because we are only 17 and need more money.
