Hehe, I guess misery loves company...These stories kinda make me feel a bit better. I have sworn off roommates forever...I'll just live with my husband from now on, thank you very much!

I've had the /worst/ roomates. One roomate got mad whenever I used her butter and asked me to replace it even though I only used a tiny bit. She was also anal about phone/internet useage and cabinet organization.

The next roomates I had, one wouldn't ever talk to your face about a problem but would write nasty notes on the whiteboard about it. And t hen they expected me to take out their recycling all the time. And she put her stinky cat litter in the kitchen and would never clean it, poor cat, standing in its own poops. EW> No more roomates for me!

ok so I had to bunk with 6 other people for a school camping thing an well one of them ended up breaking every rule an then she went an stole things from the gift shop they had. An cause of that we ended up not being let in our room till they found the stuff an talk to her. An that's not even the best part she was a total mattress hopper if you get my drift. Then we ended up scaring the pants off each other so she had to share a bed with one of my friends at the time an almost pushed my friend out of the top bunk which was a god 6 or 5 feet off the ground. But after the third day she got booted from our room to a different room.

Oh man - my roommates last year were EVIL!!!!! They way my dorm "quad" was set up was that you walk in - there is a tiny living room. To the immediate right there is a single room. Right across from the front door was 1 double room. Next to that on the left was another double room and then the bathroom.

Well - I lived in the double room next to the bathroom. And first of all - my bed was on the wall next to the bathroom so I could clearly hear everything that went on in there. My roommate who lived in the room with me, lets call her J, snored and showered maybe once or twice a week - so she smelled D: She never took out the trash OR cleaned her dishes. She would cut her own hair and leave it in the sink. She would dye her hair pink and red and stuff and it would splash everywhere - pink hairdye got all over a bag my friend made for me. I came back from going home for the weekend and the bag was ruined and she was like "Oh I didn't notice." the most disgusting part about her was when she would leave her dirty underwear all over the floor on her side of the room.

and then the chick who got her own room was a party sorority girl who liked to come home drunk at three in the morning with all sorts of men. And for some reason she really liked the bathroom when she was drunk. So her constantly going in the bathroom and slamming the door and opening it and slamming it got pretty obnoxious.

But the REAL icing on the cake were the two evil girls in the other double room. My roommate, J, and her friend A were kind of loud during the daytime. And so to get back at her the other girls OandS in the other double room decided to be loud at NIGHTtime. Well I have 7:30 classes and all that jazz everyday. So to be kept up until 3-5 in the morning everynight because they purposly would slam their doors, take the cabinet doors in their room and bang them repeatedly open and close open and close, bang on the walls. Stand outside of our door and talk really loudly. Scream. Laugh. Slam the front door repeatedly.

It was ANNOYING! and we kept trying to get them to be quiet until finally 2 weeks before school ended we all got into a huge fight - the two of them and a friend against me and J. J went home that weekend and didn't come back until thursday(so she missed almost a week) but I had to put up with them.

They got WORSE if you believe that.

I got no sleep.

One of them tried to get me to apologize for being "rude and disrespecting her friend." And in the process she was like "I think we should end this petty argument. I'll start, I think you're a B**** and you're disrespectful. See you're shrugging your shoulders at me now! that's a sign of disrespect!" and all I could say to that was "I just don't know what to say to that!" S and I had the same history class that semester and she sat right behind me. Usually she talks to me during class and would wait for me after class. But that day I thought she was doing evil things to me like putting kick me signs on me - it felt that awkward. and when class ended she got up and knocked me back down into my seat and just grabbed her skateboard and left.

They left a note on our door saying things like "roommate respect and trust is a must." I was like "you don't trust and respect us because we asked you all year to keep it down during the night time and you just got worse - what do you expect us to do? Sit here and meekly take it?"

Ugh - I have such better roommates this year - I love them. However the people above us suck - their like my roommates last year - loud at all hours of the day and nighttime.

I've had mostly good roommates. :0 I mean, I live at home, these are just for like trips and camps and stuff.

Urughjgha, the worst roommate I ever had was this douche who I shared a bed with when we went to like this 5 day survival camp thing for school a couple of years ago. There was like, 5 guys all in a tiny two bed room together, so we all had two to a bed and then rotated who slept on the floor in a sleeping bag. He was like super controlling of everyone, that everyone had to go to sleep at the same time, and no one was allowed to stay alone in the room (Though I think he just said that so he could justify following everyone around)

And he would put up deviders around his stuff, so we didn't touch it. Like, he had a pillow WALL between me and him. I still don't know wtf that was for.

Yeah, that was the worst. And a guy who kept thinking my bed was his and would jump on my bed with me in it, and this was at like sports camp and he weighed five kajillion pounds so I'd be crushed under his girth. But he was an okay guy, just forgetful.

I've only ever had one bad roommate, and he was a walk in the park compared to some. He was just a fanatical neat freak. He'd yell at me and pick up after me to an insane degree. He actually walked in on me in the bathroom while I was showering to toss my dirty clothes in the laundry room. Another time he took the cup I had just finished the last sip out of to the kitchen. He'd do stuff like that all the time, complaining about how 'messy' I was the entire time. I moved out after a month...

Sounds like someone had a little "Obsessive compulsive disorder" to me. I'd move out of that situation too.

Sad thing was that we'd been close friends since we were about 15. We still remained friends, but our friendship never was quite as good afterward.

I hear that. I was really good friends with one of my roommates till...Well...till she got pregnant with a guy she had been dating for about a month...Maybe a little more...Long enough to have 2 "oopsies"...This of course was after we had just signed a 6 month lease.

That was a very long 6 months. Well, for me anyway. She was on cloud 9 with dreams of a "baby"...and I got to live with a grouchy hormonal female who blamed me for everything...Um, I did't impregnant her...I am a GIRL!

We are almost on speaking terms now...The kid is almost 4. Bummer, we were good friends at one time. Oh well....

Hmm, I know what you mean. We had a family friend stay with us a couple times and he was like that. He's a great guy if he doesn't live with you, though.
