I love oatmeal.
Made with milk and some cinnamon on top. Yum!!!

Hehe Monstahh, chop up some apples and add them to the oatmeal, cinnamon, and milk, and you've got a good thing going, with a nice healthy breakfast to boot. ;)

I like to add the apple to the oatmeal right when I add the oatmeal to the water, as it softens the apples up a bit. I'm a texture eater, so it's better if the apples are similar in texture to the oatmeal, hehe.

Haha, Thulhu, those are good, but not nearly as healthy. They make for a nice conveniently quick breakfast, though. ;)

if i make normal oatmeal then it burns on the bottom and i have to wash an oatmeal encrusted pot

Hmm you're either cooking it at too high a heat or using the wrong kind of pot. Yes, the pot really does make a difference hehe.

The best pot for making oatmeal in is an enamel coated pot that has not been burnt on the bottom before. Unfortunately, once something has been burned in the pot, it will continue to burn every time you cook in it. I think it ruins the enamel coating or something when it burns.

Stainless steel works too, but not as well, and tends to burn a bit easier than the enamel coated pot. Only it is easier to remove the burn mark from a stainless steel pot, as you can use a steel wool pad in it without ruining the surface, so they both have their advantages and disadvantages.

What about teflon coated?
