I've thought about making my avatars male, but it's not nearly as fun. I can't dress them up in pretty clothes and stuff if I do. So I go with my own gender, female. Besides, this way no one will accidently mistake me for a boy.

I am female and I always make female avatars. I like the clothes better, and I've always picked female characters whenever possible in games.

My avi's a girl for pretty well the same reason as the OP's--more clothing options that match my gender! If I set up a mule, though, it'll be a boy... I'm not sure if Menewsha has a policy about multiple people on one IP address, though, so I'll probably hold off a while on that, until my girlfriend's adjusted to the site too.
