"To my house then?" Marreck smiled as he looked down at Emelaide, thrilled with the idea of his parents meeting Emelaide.

Emelaide's nerves immediately came crashing down, "Oh no.. th-they've never met me.. and now we're engaged.. Marreck, what if they hate me? What if I'm nothing like the type of girl they pictured you marrying.. What if they hate me because I kill plants," she whispered as she looked at the floor.

"Emelaide." Marreck soothed, lifting her chin. "Don't worry so much, love. They're going to love you. Don't be nervous." He smiled as he placed a kiss on her nose.

Emelaide nodded, "Y-you're right.. I'm being silly aren't I.. They just have to like me... Do you think I should change? Do something with my hair? I think I should.. I'll go change," Emelaide finished in a rush as her nerves remained sky high and she headed to the bedroom to find a new dress to wear.

"Em." Marreck smiled as he stopped her by wrapping his arms around her waist from behind. "You look perfect." He encouraged as he led her towards the door.

"B-but meeting your parents in this old thing? A-are you sure? I don't want them thinking terribly of me," Emelaide whispered as she tried to turn and head back to her bedroom, "M-maybe I should wear that new burgandy dress Lina made me."

"Emelaide." Marreck chided as he held tight against her squirming. "You're beautiful as you are." He encouraged, placing a light kiss on her forehead. "Don't fret. They're going to love you and once they see how beautiful you are, I doubt that they're going to be worried about your dress." He smiled as he led her out of the house.

Emelaide sighed, "I'm not so sure.. I'm not all that pretty.. especially compared to everyone in Elimlee! I'm so plain looking with my silver skin and white hair.."

"Emelaide." Marreck sighed as he cupped Emelaide's face in his palm. "You're beautiful. I wish you could see it." He frowned. "I love you and my parents will as well. Don't doubt yourself, love. You're far more beautiful then you realize." He said as he kissed Emelaide's forehead before walking her towards the border, his arm wrapped almost protectively around her shoulders as they received more odd looks from strangers.

Resting her head into his shoulder, Emelaide sighed, not noticing the stares the elves of Winterglade were giving them, "Marreck... Are you sure? Are you sure they'll like me? I don't exactly have the best record in regards to Elimlee elves..."

"Well that may have to do with you freezing Erreminette and attempting to take out Ariala." Marreck teased. "Not your greatest first impression but certainly not your worse." He smiled. "I mean, you have me. And besides, I'm not exactly popular with the Winter Elves. When you were upset earlier, I thought you wanted to leave me because all the stares we've been getting were upsetting you." Marreck sighed as they continued to walk. "Then I found out it was about the stupid things I said to Dimitrius and felt even worse." He admitted shyly, with a small blush.

Emelaide looked at him curiously, "Stares? We haven't gotten that many.. have we? And really, dearest, I'd never get rid of you over something so trivial! I love you too much," she added with a smile as she placed a tender kiss upon his cheek. "And please, don't fret over what was said any longer, it's all been forgiven, I promise."

Marreck smiled as he kissed Emelaide's forehead. "I love you to." He said happily, relieved that he'd been forgiven for what he'd said. "And yes, there's been quite a few stares." He laughed as they walked. "At the market and on the way here there's been a few."

Wrapping her arms around his waist, Emelaide chuckled softly, "I honestly haven't noticed. I can only imagine we'll have more once we get into Elimlee. But to be honest? I don't mind so much. As long as you're with me, they can stare however often they like."

Marreck smiled as they reached the border, his arm wrapped around Emelaide loosening. "When we're here to you want to visit Dimitrius? Ariala has lessons today but I'm sure he's home. Unless he's decided to run around Elimlee to tell everyone about Ariala's pregnancy." Marreck joked.

Emelaide laughed, "Honestly? It wouldn't surprise me if he did run around telling everyone in both Elimlee and Winterglade about her pregnancy. But no, I don't want them seeing my ring and taking the joy away from the pregnancy. I'll see the soon enough, when things have settled down."

"If your sure." Marreck smiled as they crossed the meadow and walked towards the small village of treehouses. "I can't wait for you to meet my parents." Marreck said excitedly. "I just know they're going to adore you." He smiled, his step slightly lighter then before.

Emelaide sighed as she tried to keep her nerves down so her magic wouldn't run haywire, "I-I-I really hope so Marreck.. I.. I don't want them to hate me.. I want our marriage to run smoothly without any glitches.. If your parents hate me..."

"They're going to love you." Marreck smiled as he pulled them to a stop and wrapping his arms around Emelaide. "And since this is probably rude to do in front of my parents." He said quietly before giving her a long kiss. "I think I should get it out of my system." He smiled before giving her another tender kiss.

Emelaide couldn't help but smile as she leaned against him. Wrapping her arms around his neck, Emelaide stood on her toes as she whispered, "What if I told you I never want you to get it out of your system?" Returning his kisses, Emelaide smiled as all of her fears melted under his embrace, "I love you."

"I love you to." Marreck smiled between kisses before bringing her left hand in front of him. "Forever." He added with a grin as he kissed her ring. Giving her one last kiss, Marreck led her towards the rope ladder and gestured for her to go first.

"For eternity," smiled Emelaide as she stood on her toes to place one last long, tender kiss upon his lips, her tongue lightly brushing against his for a few moments before she placed a soft kiss upon his forehead and headed up the rope ladder.

Marreck smiled as he followed Emelaide up the rope ladder and brought her to the door of his home. Giving her a last kiss, Marreck opened the door and led her into the kitchen where his mother stood by the stove.

"Mother, I'd like you to meet Emelaide." Marreck said as he introduced his mother, Alena, who walked over to the couple.

"Hello, dear." Alena smiled as she put her arms around Emelaide and stood back. "You're every bit as beautiful as Marreck said." She teased before looking down over Emelaide. "Oh, my." She said quickly, picking up Emelaide's hand and examining the ring.

"Marreck?" Marreck's father, Jonan, said as he walked into the kitchen and saw Alena bent over Emelaide's hand. "You must be Emelaide." He smiled before walking to put an arm around his wife.

"I-I-I am.. P-pleasure to meet you b-both," Emelaide stammered with a curtsy as a scarlet blush filled her cheeks, leaning into Marreck more for comfort than anything as she hesitantly looked up at his parents, her nerves rising completely at how easily they spoke to her as if they were family already and how they both seemed to know quite a bit about her already.

"Don't scare the poor girl off." Jonin teased as he pulled Alena backwards.

"Sorry." Alena laughed. "I just didn't know when Marreck was going to propose." She smiled warmly. "Well its nice to meet you anyways." Alena added, her husband nodding in agreement. "Marreck's told us about you and we're very welcoming about having a daughter." She smiled. "Well I am anyways, I can't say the same about my husband."

"Father." Marreck said testily, wrapping an arm around Emelaide's waist.

"Don't tease the couple, Alena." Jonin rolled his eyes playfully, earning a small giggle from Alena. "I'm very excited about having a daughter-in-law." He said warmly to Emelaide.
