"H-he proposed only m-moments ago," Emelaide said softly, "A-and I look forward to g-getting to know you b-both. F-forgive me for stammering so m-much.. you must think so p-poorly of me.."

"Of course not, dear." Marreck's mother soothed. "You're just flustered about the proposal." She said warmly. "Marreck, why don't you show her around?" She offered.

"Right." Marreck smiled as he led Emelaide into the living room. "I told you they'd love you." He whispered quietly before giving her a tender kiss.

Returning his kisses, Emelaide smiled, "I think you've told them only the good things about me.. If they knew everything," she whispered, her eyes looking towards the ground as her small smile slowly disappeared.

"They've heard a few rants about your temper." Marreck admitted shyly. "They love you because I love you." He said, lifting her chin. "So stop worrying." He said before giving her another kiss and leading her into the bathroom before his room. "But I'm afraid that's the end of our tour. The house is kind of small."

Emelaide smiled as she wrapped her arms around his neck, "I like that it's small. It's cozy and warm, it's nice. I think I'll like this room above all other though," she whispered with a teasing grin as she placed a tender kiss upon his lips.

"Em." Marreck sighed happily as he pulled her closer, his arms around her waist. "I love you." He whispered between kisses as one of his hands slid up her back and into her soft hair.

Emelaide laughed softly as she leaned closer and eagerly returned his kisses, "I love you too." Looking up at him, Emelaide inquired softly with a teasing grin as her fingertips gently caressed his cheek, "Does this mean I don't have to behave myself anymore?"

"Em." Marreck chided with a smile. "Do you even realize how tempting you are?" He laughed before giving her a long kiss. "You really shouldn't tease me." Marreck joked as his lips trailed down her neck. "Its completely unfair." He laughed, his breath splaying over her neck.

Emelaide smiled as she whispered in his ear as leaned into his kisses, "Mm, but I'm not teasing dearest. You're teasing me by bringing me to your bedroom when your parents are home. So truly, you're being the unfair one."

"Maybe." Marreck smiled slyly. "But I can't help it if you're simply irresistable." Marreck laughed as his kisses trailed to the base of her neck before moving back to her small lips. Breaking the kiss, Marreck led Emelaide back into the living and settled into the couch. "Better?" He teased as he rested his arm over the back of the couch.

Emelaide chuckled as she snuggled close to him and placed a tender kiss upon his neck before whispering, "Mmm, not really. You're still completely tempting. But with your parents so near, I promise I'll behave," she added with another kiss upon his neck, just below his jaw. "Speaking of your parents, I'm surprised they didn't wish to ask me a thousand questions as if I were being interrogated like my father did to you. Things really are different over here, aren't they."

"Or it could be because I'm dating you're parent's daughter. I think its different when its the son and when its the daughter." Marreck shrugged just as his mother walked in.

"You're father just left for the market to get groceries for tomorrow." Alena said as she settled into a large chair across from the couple. "So I'd thought I'd take the oppurtunity to get to know Emelaide." She said happily as she directed her attention on the Winter Elf. "What is it about my crazy son that you find attractive?" She teased.

"Mother." Marreck cut in, rolling his eyes.

"I'm only kidding." Alena smiled before turning back to Emelaide. "But more seriously, what magic do you have? Can you make snowstorms?" She asked excitedly, having never seen a snowstorm.

Emelaide couldn't help but giggle at Marreck's mother. They'd only just met, but Emelaide already felt she loved her dearly, "To answer your first question, what I find most about Marreck really can't be limited to one thing. I love his smile, his laugh, the way he makes me laugh, the way he'll take care of me and risk his life just to make sure I'm alright, the way he kisses me, the way he loves me - everything combined makes me love him even more.. Some days I wonder how I could love him any more than I already do, and then he does something to increase my love, as silly as that sounds," she added with a blush.

"To answer your second question, I'm afraid I can't. I mean, we all can bring a storm in, but my talent lies in temperature. I can create ice, as I'm sure you've heard, and I can drastically lower temperatures, as I'm sure you've also already heard. However, what you may not know, is that I can also increase temperatures drastically as well. My magic runs on my emotions, you see, and so when I'm overly excited, overly happy, quite upset, etc, my magic tends to run a bit haywire and go to both extremes alternately. It's about all I can do to keep them in check," she admitted with a soft chuckle.

"However, if it's snow storms you wish to see, I'll have to introduce you to Dimitrius. He's the precipitation expert," she added with a smile, "He'll happily create a small snowfall for you or center a small snow storm in the woods if you wish."

"I've never seen a snowstorm." Alena said happily. "Of course I've heard about your run in with Erreminette. And all Marreck was worried about was missing out on the fun. As he calls it anyways." Alena rolled her eyes playfully.

"I was worried about Erre as well." Marreck added.

"Well, yes. But you would've given anything to be there." Alena laughed. "Now why don't you make yourself useful, love, and get us some tea." Alena grinned widely.

"Yes, mother." Marreck sighed as he got up and wandered into the kitchen.

"Well now that we've gotten rid of him." Alena laughed, moving to sit beside Emelaide. "We can have girl talk without worrying about boys. To tell you the truth I'm not even sure if I need groceries for tomorrow." She joked. "So tell me about your family? We'll have to meet your parents sometime. What are they like?"

Emelaide giggled as she looked up at Marreck's mother. She truly was like a young school girl, so much different from her own mother. Emelaide knew right then that she found someone she could rely on and talk to openly with about just about anything. "My family is very reserved. My parents work high in the Palace and so they're gone most of the time. They're rather stand-off and proper, but they truly are wonderful parents. I adore them to no end, so please don't get me wrong about them. They're kind people once you get to know them. They're quite different than you and your husband. You and your husband are so.. so.. so lively, so wonderful. My parents will seem rather boring in comparison I'm afraid," she admitted with a blush.

"Oh, I'm sure they're not." Alena smiled as she slipped off her shoes and sat cross-legged on the couch. She looked almost childish as she did so but she was so used to sitting that way that it never occured to her how young it made her look. "I'm very excited to meet your parents. In fact, I'm excited to meet all the Winter Elves that Marreck's told me all about." She laughed. "I've been wondering how long it'd take before he brought you home and I'm shocked that he proposed. We've been trying to get Marreck to settle down and it looks like he did just that." Alena said excitedly. "The ring is gorgeous. And all without my help." Alena sighed as she glanced at Emelaide's ring.

"Now tell me dear, how did you two meet. I've such a horrible craving for romance stories and living with two men, I never hear anything good." Alena laughed quietly as she waited for Emelaide's answer.

Emelaide blushed, "I'm quite afraid to tell you.. actually.. I'm afraid it was under rather embarrassing, not to mention vindictive on both our parts, circumstances.. I fear you'll think very wretched of me if I tell you.. May we please not speak of that incident? I'm sure Marreck will tell you himself in his own time.. I preferably do not wish to recollect that day.. I feel rather foolish and believe my actions quite childish now that I look back upon them.. The only good thing about that day was meeting Marreck.. If someone had asked me then and there if I would ever find love again, I would have told them 'Not a chance' without taking a second thought. Little did I know I'd met the true love of my life that very day.."

"Now see." Alena smiled sweetly. "That last two sentences are more romantic then anything I've heard in this home in years." Alena joked. "But please don't think I'd think poorly of you. Marreck already kicks himself for letting his little crush on Ariala affect his meeting with you. He's told me that he wishes that he could've made a better first impression on you." Alena said with a warm smile.

"But on to more cheerful things." Alena smiled just as Marreck walked in with the tea. "Well tea's always cheerful." She laughed happily as Marreck took a seat on the other side of Emelaide and wrapped his arms around her waist.

"Please don't tell me my mother's scared you off." Marreck smiled as he rested his chin on Emelaide's shoulder.

Emelaide shook her head, "Of course not! I love her already," Emelaide added warmly as she smiled at Alena, "And I truly mean that from the bottom of my heart."

After placing a tender kiss upon Marreck's cheek as she leaned back against him and placed her hand over his, Emelaide smiled at Alena, "And thank you.. I didn't realize he beat himself up so much over that.. You really didn't need to worry about your first impression on me, dearest.. My first impression on you, Marreck, was much worse," she added with a blush, "I'd give anything for you to not have seen me in such a temper.."

"I've seen you in that temper this morning when you tried to throw me out." Marreck laughed.

"Well, I'll leave you two lovebirds alone." Alena smiled as she stood. "Now that a boy's come and ruined the fun." She said, giving Emelaide a wink before going out into the kitchen.

"What exactly did my mother tell you?" Marreck asked warily once Alena had left.

Emelaide chuckled softly as she turned to face Marreck, "Nothing, dearest. Girl talk, is all. Mainly about my family and myself, a bit about you," she added with a smile as she placed a tender kiss upon his lips, "Nothing to be worried over. And to be fair," she added as she poked his nose, "I thought you were lying to me and breaking everything off after speaking with my father after dinner. How was I to know you were speaking about a proposal? I thought my father pulled you aside to tell you to leave me. Therefore, I had every right to be upset and lose my temper with you."

"I pulled your father aside." Marreck laughed at Emelaide's logic. "I wanted to ask permission. I thought we'd get along better if I asked rather then just proposed." He said with a smile. "And it worked did it not?"

Emelaide smiled as she caressed his cheek and placed a gentle kiss upon his nose, "Aye, that it did. And I'll be eternally thankful it did," she added before placed a tender kiss upon his lips. "I love you Marreck, so very very much," she murmured between kisses.

"I love you to, my beautiful Emelaide." Marreck smiled as he eagerly returned Emelaide's kisses. "Even when you're in one of your tempers." He teased lightly as he kissed her nose.

Wrinkling her nose lightly as she giggled , Emelaide brushed her nose against his as she whispered, "It's a good thing, dearest, because if you're marrying me you may see that temper come up every now and again."
