We used to have strict rules in my school about the length of our nails because my school was a missionary school so the rule kind of stuck to me until now. Plus, I tend to have a bad habit of well scratching and digging things around so its really easy for dirt to get caught under my nails >.<'' My mom absolutely hates it when my nails are long too... Not sure why as it seems she has long nails :P But yeah, I never keep long nails.

And now that you mentioned your long nails taking a chunk of meat out of you, I feel even more afraid O.O That sounds really really painful!!! Your nails must be super strong to be able to do something like that!

And its really cute that you use super glue instead of nail glue though it would be impossible for the nail to be removed ^^'' I seriously hate it when superglue touches my skin, i feels rough and rigid, like I want to just rip out that part of my skin >.<''

Hehe, omg my nails are so brittle, they never grow longer than a quarter inch before they break off. I do remember, however, when I planted a vegie garden in my yard in Idaho, the soil was so mineral rich that my nails were extremely healthy for the first time in my life. I found out later on that the place the mobile home park was sitting had been a cow pasture before that. No wonder the soil was so rich in minerals!

Wow! I didn't know that even the minerals in soil can help the healthiness of your nails. I must do more gardening then! Though I am not so sure what kind of land my house was. It should be a place where they mine tin like the whole of Malaysia was before it was industrialized ^^'' I drink a lot of milk, even when I was young so my nails are pretty strong because of that I think. But teh milk also helped with my height ^^'' I'm kind of tall for an Asian girl...

hehehe My right ankle on the right side has about 6+ scratches...

I will get a tickle there in my sleep and reach my other foot/toenails around to scratch it and it cuts it... hehehe...

My toenails are as short as I can get them but it does no good... The nail is so thick it takes chunks out... hehehe...

My finger nails don't normally do that though. They are thick but not that thick... Taking a chunk our of myself was not very fun... It hurt like heck... hehehe...

One of the fingernails on that hand has a nail that is almost back up to a 1/4 of an inch... hehehe... Oh wow I only have about 10 days left before the wedding, I better start planning what to take and find a shirt for my skirt...

I couldn't afford to but I splurged on a new skirt that was $14.00 because it was terribly cute... But I wasn't able to find the right shirt there... Well I have enough clothes to clothe an army platoon... hehehe it is just finding the right bag because most of my stuff is in storage... hehehe...

Oh my goodness! Just on your ankle alone? That's quite a lot for such a small part of your body >.<''

And yeah, toenails are really hard to cut, especially since they are angled in such a way. I only cut them when I can see the whites that are long and if there is any pain there because I sometimes cut them too deep and there are high chances of me getting ingrown nails >.<''

10 days is quite a long time to plan for a wedding ^^'' I sometimes just pick something out straight from my closet to wear for the wedding though I don't exactly own many formal wear. I really should buy myself more dresses come to think about it.

Shopping is highly addictive and when you see something, usually it is a must for women to buy it if they like it. If we go home without buying it, we will feel like there's a sinking feeling of regret :P I have a lot of clothes too. My closet is not big enough so we have a tonne of boxes outside to store other clothes. I only have 2 or 3 hand bags though. Not really a handbag kind of person ^^''

Tiger honey,

Your avi is so beautiful today!

Cliff's best friend from his school days is getting married memorial day weekend...

I met them once late last summer/early fall they came over this way to do some sight seeing and we all met for dinner.

Pa-pancake honey,

hehehe yes my ankle gets it bad and sometimes it is one ankle and sometimes it is the other ankle... hehehe...

My big toenail has broken more toenail clippers that I know what to do with... The toenail is so thick that I really don't know what to do about it... Then all of my other toenails are really thin and really sharp but they aren't usually the ones that cut me... hehehe...

Like I said I got a really cute skirt... It is 3 tiers and layered chiffon. The skirt is black with tons of little pink and white flowers all over it...

This is an afternoon wedding with no mention of the formality so Cliff and I are both wearing afternoon attire...

Cujunga honey,

I hope that you don't work to hard at work and I hope that you make a lot of menegoldz playing tetris!!!!

Aww I think all your avi's are looking awesome, as usual! I love Tigerangel's black and white panda get up, Pa-pancake's unusual color combo for the bee items, which I think is really awesome, Cujunga's centurion look, and Katty, I just love the outfit you chose to use with the Spirit of the Phoenix! Have you tried using the flame pose from the Evil Overlord with it to see how it looks? I'm curious as to whether it would improve on or take away from the look.

hehehe, nope I didn't try that one I didn't even think about it I just knew that I wanted a colorful avi yesterday...

I guess I have probably missed every one... I been on my Roli making lots of goldz more than anywhere today...

Everywhere I have been today except it has been slow, slow, slow...

How was your appointment today? Everything ok???

Yes I was wowed my Pa-pancakes choice of colors also but it still all goes together really nicely... I wouldn't have thought of it but now that I have seen it I might try something with those colors later on down the road...

Yayyy Katty is here! Hehe, it was just my weekly blood test, no appt, then took Pap to Walmart to get fertilizer. We took my granddaughter with us too, just to get her out of the house for a while, hehe. She was happy to go...she got to go shopping with Grandma and Great Grandpappy, hehe. He bought her a little treat and she really enjoyed that.

I agree, it is not something I would have thought to try together either, and she pulled it off very nicely. :)

My Dad's wife has something wrong with her and it kills all of her platelets...

Her average is 12-17 and I can't remember now but that is miles to low...

They have tested her for everything there is to test... They have tried every med that there is for that kind of junk...

First the give her a quart of blood and then they give her a quart of plasma... They have been doing this for close to a year now but it is only twice a month...

Sometimes between the two it will get her up to 22 or 24... I want to say we are supposed to be around 100 but don't go to the bank on that one because I can't remember...

By the next day she is always back in the low teens...

Wow, that just sounds terrible, Katty. You would think they could figure out what's wrong that's causing it to drop like that. All those plasma and blood transfusions...that's pretty scary to know you have to rely on them to keep you alive. I surely hope they figure it out soon and are able to help her get better!

It sounds like she has something rare, that is somehow being overlooked. Have they tried other hospitals and doctors? Maybe if they would, they might come across a doctor somewhere whom it will click with...'hey, I've seen this before...I bet it's this!' and be able to finally put a label on what it is with her, and hopefully fix the problem as well.

Hmm wonder what's up with our DirectTV lol. It keeps restarting and keeps saying it's looking for updated software.

All it seems to be doing to her is making her look like she keeps getting beat up... No one even has to look at her hard and she will bruise...

Well they are out of ideas is the problem...

They did everything that they knew.

The consulted with some of the top Drs all over the country and no one knows what to do for her... They faxed files across the country to the top Dr's. That way they would "see all of the known information." X-rays, CT scans, MRI's...

But she has been this way for several years now...

All of the tests that they do usually cause a bruise or two more...

This woman is 83 and gets up and does a lot of the cleaning. Does the cooking for 2 meals a day.. Dad always goes out to b-fast with some of his old cronies at this place that they have been going to for years...

Then on top of everything else... Here's the kicker...

She whines about all the things that she can't do any more... I wish on my 60th birthday I will be half as spry as she is at 83...

It's true she can't get down on the floor on her hands and knees to scrub the floor... But there are the swiffer products which really do make a lot of jobs easier... Like Mopping...

She does most of the cooking from scratch... They do keep a few TV dinner type of things around for when she is ill but they just don't do much of that stuff...

She does have one thing... She got up at 5 or 6 all of her life working and taking care of the kids... She told everyone when I am old I am going to sleep in... Everyone told her that it wouldn't happen her body is to set in the pattern... hehehe...

She sleeps in until between 9 and 10 most days... She wakes up 1/2 hour or so earlier but she gets out from under the covers... That late in the day hehehe

Anyway... No one knows what is wrong but it doesn't seem to be doing her any harm she does way more than a majority of 80 year olds do... She gets sick once every year or so... When she gets sick she gets really sick... But she doesn't get sick very often...

They watch her like a hawk... they test her every thing very often... But beside the bruising the woman stays pretty busy for an 83 year old woman...

Wow, she sounds like an amazing woman, Katty! It seems she has led a good long and happy life too, so I guess as long as they are watching her, and doing everything they can for her, that's the best we can hope for unless someone finally comes up with a solution. I am very impressed with her and I don't even know her, hehe.

That's what's amazing about Pap too....you would not know he is 89yo. He still plants a vegetable garden every year and tends the garden. The only thing is, he can't till the garden anymore, and he has to practically twist his grandson's arm to get him to till it for him.

That's what gets me....he does all this stuff for his grandson, and yet his grandson will not do anything for him without giving him grief over it. Pap cuts the lawn still and weed whacks the edge of the yard, because it's too much of a hassle to get his grandson to do it for him. I have bitched his grandson out for this too, calling him an ingrate and whatever, but it all just goes in one ear and out the other.

I can't tell you how many times Pap has tried to tell me not to do the dishes, telling me my daughter and his grandson should be doing them...the first couple times he told me that, I went ahead and left the dishes for them to do, but he could not get them to do the dishes anymore than I ever could, and then he turned around and ended up doing them so I just finally told him forget it, I will do the dishes...forget them. I can't see him doing the dishes along with all this other stuff he does...it's just inconceivable. He still yells at me for doing the dishes, but I don't care, as long as they get done, hehe. I refuse to leave them so that he ends up doing them instead of them.

hehehe sorry my computer locked up and I went through heck getting my sites all open windowed again....

Well my Dad's Wife and I have had our ups and downs...

But as of this past winter she is finally starting to see me in a different light... She almost likes me a little bit now...

My Brother that lives a 15-20 minute drive from my Dad's house won't do anything for Dad either... It is irritating... In normal conditions it is a 2.5 hour drive for me to get to my Dad's. Right now because of the bridge it is closer to a 4 hour trip...

If I lived within 1-1.5 hours away I would go over there every other weekend and take care of as much of Dad's stuff as I can...

So I understand exactly how you are feeling about that one...

I am okay having an allergic reaction and waiting on my hubby to get back with the antihystimene. >.< My eyes itch and it feels wierd.

And thank you. :) I am glad you like my avi. :D

You do need a quest thread. :) I have all kinds of trinkets to make pages look neat. :) I love my quest thread.. and you will be able to participate in the raffle some day if you have a thread. :) And it helps out a lot.

The raffle is a part of the reason that she really wants me to get on this...

I have the link in my siggy now but I am still a long way from finished...

I don't know how to decorate my threads so in that way it will always be lacking but I have it all laid out and set up and now all I have to do is fill in the pages...

I already have the first two posts set up and looking probably as good as they will ever look...

But it is ok because each of us have different talents and I can be handed a box of computer parts and I can build a computer from the ground up... hehehe...

I can fix and repair computers at least the hardware part of them. So that is my talent in the computer department...

They have some allergy eye drops these days that I guess helps an awful lot... I haven't tried them but I have been told about them by people who have tried them... I hate it when I have an outbreak of allergies because they can be such a drag...

Get better quickly!!!

Ahh wow you can make a computer.. I wish I could do that.

Ivvy,

Red roses are my all time favorite flower... Is that why you thought of roses and me at the same time?

Benedryl takes sometimes 30-45 minutes to kick in...

I take one every night before bed... Not for allergies though... I take them so that I can fall back to sleep every time that I wake up in the middle of the night...

I have insomnia and sleep apnea both... I have a terrible time getting to sleep... Once I am asleep I wake up every couple of hours even if I don't want to... It used to take me 2-3 hours to fall back to sleep after waking up...

When I take it before I go to bed somehow it allows me to fall back to sleep before 2-3 hours go by... Though it doesn't put me to sleep...

I am to tired tonight but tomorrow I am going to give it a try and see if I can save it, put it in my photobucket account and then use it in my quest thread...

Dang, no wonder I am tired, it is 3 am already... I am going to give it up for tonight and start fresh in the morning....

Thank you for the beautiful roses and I am going to try to get them on my quest page tomorrow...

I am a part of a couple of different sites where I can get free pictures for stuff like this I just don't know how to do it...

So tomorrow I am going to play with them until I figure it out...

Thank you ever so kindly! I hope that we will get to chat more tomorrow!
