Lololol... Yeah, they were both AWESOME shows!
Sabrina was probably the best teen show EVER.
...Whatever happened to teen shows? :(
I'M TOO OLD FOR HANNAH MONTANA, HER AUDIENCE IS KIDS. :evil:
These people suck. They forgot about us pimply folk.

I read something a while ago about how Miley Cyrus was trying to redo her image because she wanted to appeal to girls her age. I was just thinking "Sorry, hon, but no."
Given that she's already freaking out about being perceived as a kiddie star, I'd say it's not that long before the drug scandals and sex tapes come along.

I only saw a few episodes of Are You Afraid of the Dark. I was such a wimpy kid. xD
I also liked... what was it, According to Ginger? Or something. It was such a grood cartoon. Hell, all of the cartoons from the '90s were phenomenal (although I never much liked Ren and Stimpy, but at least the animation was good.)
Aaah, oh my god, Face! I loved the pumpkin/country bumpkin song! I used to parade around my house as Cinderella. = w=
Cherry, I used to love Sabrina. >w>

According To Ginger was an absolute favorite of mine! :drool: <3<3
Like, seriously, I loved that show. xDD;;
And yeah, I honestly doubt that Miley will be able to rehash her image for people her age. =\ Only when she gets older in time, and if she makes the right moves. :x Especially since for one, people her age drool after stars in their early twenties mostly, and not people her age. xDDD;;

Plus, not many her age are going to respect her since she's a whiny, spoiled brat. >>
Like... before I just disliked Miley Cyrus because it was just dumb kiddie pop fluff, but it was purely personal opinion, I didn't hate her or have anything against her as a person. But then, like, she wanted Radiohead to play at her birthday party; understandably, they declined. Then she threw a huge temper tantrum and said "I will destroy them."
I mean, what the fuck? Grow up. They didn't want to play at your birthday party, get over it. ><
That display of complete immaturity just ruined her for me. Then all the skanky myspace pictures so typical of idiotic teenies certainly didn't help, nor has... anything else she's done.
Just strikes me as a typical bratty teen, only she feels even more entitled and her head's even huger than the typical teen's since she's loved by millions.
As Told By Ginger! I watched that. It wasn't my favorite, but I enjoyed it. Though looking back it was sort of the cartoon predecessor to these new shows.
Though, speaking of the new Nick shows, Drake and Josh isn't that bad. Or at least its first season or two wasn't (haven't watched since). I mean, the plot lines were ridiculously hackneyed, and sometimes they kind of beat you over the head with a joke, but it was pretty funny. I know Drake Bell has done a few "adult" roles, but I look forward to when both of them make the switch entirely. :) It's not really their fault if Nick insists the show be trite.

Ooh, I LOVE seeing when kid stars make their switch to adult!! Shia LaBoeuf is the prime example of that. C:
He was such a hilariously DISGUSTING and weird kid in Even Stevens. I swear, he made me want to puke sometimes.
But now he's nigh of being an awesome, bad ass, SERIOUS actor! Last I heard he's in the area, going to the University of Penn while he's filming a M. Night Shyamalan (or however the hell you spell his last name) movie. His movies are always filmed in our area. >w> Which is just fucking creepy.
Anyway, yeah. Drake and Josh... Does that show still EXIST!? I know Miranda Cosgrove, their younger sister on the show, has her own Nickelodeon show now. Not sure if Drake and Josh still exists... But it was definitely a decent show! One of the last decent shows before this horrid Hannah Montana and Naked Brothers Band crap arrived... :stare:
As Told By Ginger was FANTASTIC. :heart: I loved it so much!
It was one of the most realistic cartoons of the time; her mom was a single mom, a nurse, and their life was literally average, middle-of-the-road. I thought that was so fantastic.
Plus, her friends were so... eccentric. Deedee and Maisie, or however their names were spelled! And then that rich girl whose name began with a 'B'... she seemed to genuinely like and respect Ginger at times, but still had that snobby beeyotch mentality.
Blah. The '90s were good to us. Seriously, I feel like finding some of these shows, curling up in a ball and watching them now! They were just sooo great.

Cherry, I didn't know about the Radiohead thing. o_O;; But now that I do, I don't respect her as much. :x I guess I started disliking her really after I heard that she wanted to publish an autobiography. At 16. WTF? Who the hell publishes an autobiography at 16?! >.>;; Very stupid idea if you ask me. ^^;; You haven't even lived a fraction of the life you probably will live! Assuming of course she doesn't get into drugs in the future. :x Which of course I don't wanna happen to her, but it's still a possibility. =\
And, Drake and Josh is all right, I guess. ^^;; I can take it. xDD;;
Aww, this reminds me Lizzie McGuire. That's a girly show I could definitely take. Far better than Hannah Montana, at least. >.>;;
And Facade, I totally agree on Shia~ 8DD;; <3<3
And btw, I think the spoiled girl was named Courtney? At least, that's what I remember. xDD;;
And yeah, I wanna reminisce. D; <3<3

Movie party at Cherry's house! :illgetu:
Someone just get a crapload of these shows on DVD, and I'll bring the popcorn. >w>
Lizzie McGuire was another awesome show! :'D Her friends were totally awesome. Miranda and... Gordo? xD;;
Plus, her parents were equally quirky, as was her little brother.
I just always loved shows like that that were REALISTIC. I mean, Lizzie McGuire had some funny-looking outfits, and she went through noticeable battles with weight, WHICH IS WHAT A TEEN NORMALLY GOES THROUGH! I mean, it was just so damn realistic and likable. There was enough of a separation of reality in these shows without making them... well, unbelievable. You could still escape your own reality, I mean.
Blech. I'm so sad these shows aren't around anymore. :gonk:
LIFE FAILS. D:<

Am I bad because I never watched Lizzie McGuire? :lol: It just never interested me.
Though I have no problems with Hillary Duff or anything. She's stayed pretty respectable (aside from dating the tool from Good Charlotte... What a creep, he dumped her the second she turned 18!)
Facade - Shia's going to be in an M. Night movie? Fuck yeah. :heart: I'll have to see that. I enjoy Shyamalan's stuff.

I think so is, uh... Megan Fox or something.
But I forget these things. All I know is that it's him and some fairly-attractive girl lady thing. >w>
And they're both going to school up at UPenn, which is only about a half hour into the city for me. :'D
...Not that I'm gonna stalk them or anything. That would be... improper. <w<

My French teacher keeps throwing Megan Fox into our french stories, it's so random. He's all: "Megan Fox aller au la Supermarket et achète une oiseau." It's weird. xD
I'm all for that DVD party! I really wish I owned some of my favorite oldies on DVD. ;∆;
@Face- Awww... Gordo. <3 I also loved Lizzie's impossible crush on that prettyboy.... Evan? And then that she realized she wasn't meant to be with him and then I think she started dating Gordo, but I'm not sure. And then that Cyrano DeBerguerac (sp?) episode! Awww! And: "Hey you kids, get off my lawn!" xD

@Cherry: I might've been lying about Megan Fox being in it. :sweat:
I really don't remember what I heard! :gonk:
@Anna: LOL! Evan was pretty smokin', though. ;D
I remember this one episode where Lizzie's parents were asking him how he got his hair to look so good... I remember he said something along the lines of, "You know how on the shampoo bottle it says 'Lather, Rinse, Repeat'? I don't repeat." ... IT WAS HILARIOUS AT THE TIME. :rofl:
When she dated Gordo IT WAS SO DAMN AWKWARD. :gonk: I don't remember the Cyrano kid that much... Was he the kid she met in Italy or whatever? Or was it France? Wherever she went after high school, or... uh, whatever. My brain hurts too much to bother trying to remember. :squee:
Damn... I really want to have a DVD party now!

Nah, his name wasn't actually Cyrano... he played Cyrano in the school play, and then he thought that Lizzie was providing the right words to say to Miranda because she loved him, but really she didn't, she was just trying to help out Miranda. >_>
And haaa, I remember that! I always wondered why my hair didn't look fantastic, because I totally never repeated, either! xD
It was awkward, but it was SOOOO CUTE! >w<

Mm, so, speaking of the 90s, what kind of music did you guys listen to back then? :lol:
I listened to music a lot, but the actual variety was quite small. I had a few Spice Girls cassettes, a Backstreet Boys CD, an NSync CD, Britney Spears' first two, a Christina Aguilerra CD, and a NOW CD, and that was it. :lol: But I have many memories of my friend and I pretending we were doing concerts to Britney and Christina. :lol:
