I like my DSi. The camera thing is good for when I'm just out and about without my camera. I also like the browser, it's easier to use than my phone browser. It has a bigger screen and I like the volume button and power button better than on the Lite. I also really liked how you could trade in the Lite towards the DSi.

I just have a DS Lite and I'm really happy with it. If I wanted a camera, I would buy a camera, not a Nintendo DSi. xD;;
But... does anyone know if there are going to be games that will only work with the DSi in the future? That would be kind of lame, but I'd update my DS Lite for the DSi if there was a game that I really wanted to play on it.

I doubt that there's going to be games only for the DSi, considering the game port is exactly the same as the DS Lite. I don't know how that would work out, but I guess it's possible? xD Well... except that there are games you can download from the Nintendo Channel thing and whatever with the WiFi. /nods (They're usually not very good games.)

@Siri ~ There are downloadable games that are exclusive to the DSi right now. They make use of the system's camera. And I do believe there will be, if there aren't already, exclusive DSi games through retail.

Well, I don't really care about the downloadable games.
I'll just be upset if they make really good games... like the new Zelda, exclusive to the DSi.

I am currently equipped with a DS Lite and a fairly large number of rather excellent GBA games, as well as DS games that use the GBA slot for things. I don't think paying extra money to lose my GBA slot is a very good deal.
In fact, with my approach to the idea of spending money, I would still have a DS Heavy if I hadn't pounded its L trigger into non-working oblivion. *sigh* They don't make 'em as indestructible as they used to...

I'm not too crazy about the DSI. It just went along with the cell-phone trend that is going around these days. "More applications" is just becoming another status symbol of who has more money to throw around. I would not even consider buying a DSI. A portable game console is just that; A portable console to play games on. Not rummage through useless applications to feed the addiction to check your e-mail when you're out. Just because you feel the need to take pictures of people while you're out, doesn't mean Nintendo should have put a camera on it, also. One of their past portable systems had a camera attachment and that was not popular at all. The systems should stick to being gaming systems, and that's that. =/

I could not agree more with what you said. The DSI has done nothing to date to improve the system or enhance its game play value its just a DS with some built in junk that most cell phones already have anyway. Like Dar said the browser would be the only highlight but it runs slow as christmas and has the same issues the other browser apps have for other hand held and game systems. As for the camera, again ... most cell phones already have a camera and if you are buying a DSI i'm sure you can afford a cell phone. I think it was more or less just a gimick to have an excuse to make more money off a 'new' system
