Well Thoth, that's an interesting way to see things. I guess not getting married would make things like divorce a lot easier.

Hey Kukon, sorry to hear that things aren't going well for you.

That, Sho... and I don't like how its so ingrained in our society as something that's more important than everything else.

@Sho: The Philippines really IS conservative... Not many people know that or imagined it because of some of the bad reputation the country gained when it was marked as a contry of prostitutes and rapists (or something like that) but majority of people here are brainwashed by religion. Trust me. Remember the so-called boxing match of "Battle of the East and West" of Pacquiao vs Hatton? Pacquiao's mom who was a devout Catholic wore a veil and raised her arms like she was sacrificing herself to the heavens just for her son to win... and she calls it prayer... I call it brainwash... Who would waste their time doing such a publicly humiliating act just for victory? It's kinda stupid... But wait!! There are more people IN THIS COUNTRY that did worse...
I've heard that the Nazarene Festival was broadcast on other parts of the world... what do the thousands of men do anyway? They walk from one place to another carrying a black statue of Jesus Christ carrying a cross just to simulate the hardship he went through... They say it's test of faith. I say it's brainwash and crap. >_>

@Thoth: I can understand that. People put way much into making weddings these extravagant things and suddenly it's not about getting married anymore. Why go through all these stressful plans in the name of love. I think a simple backyard wedding with family would show a lot more love in it than those fancy ones with 500 people at the giant churches. :(

@Elsa: People can be extremist about religion can't they? It seems like everyone uses religion for the wrong purpose. I mean, praying for your son to win a boxing match, and in such an extreme way? It's ridiculous.

@Sho: LOL, I found a link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dBABh9Ydn-I
Though it's in Filipino, but don't mind the language, MIND HER ACTIONS and see how brainwashed she is. (forgive my b*tchiness, I just woke up. )

Ah, whatever. The vid is mostly about the mom. Her image being a devout Catholic, then after her son's constant victories having a better life, but still remaining in her brainwashed ways...

Hm... I think this woman needs to get her priorities straight. From what I can tell, she goes into these crazy prayers, so that her son can win boxing and she can more expensive things to show off on TV. Isn't this somewhat contradictory?

And somehow gay marriage is supposed to be more life-threatening than this crap.

@Sho: I know right? That just proves that gays marrying each other is more harmless than a MURDERER and a CHILD MOLESTER marrying each other.

Yeah. I'm actually more stoked for some of my friends than I am for me and my girl, because we haven't been together for an uber long time or anything. But I go to this gay club that's near my city, and the owners have been together for longer than I've been alive. (Even though they have an open relationship at this point, it's still awesome.) They own a home and a club together, so it's great that they'll be able to ensure that no crazy nephews-twice-removed try to jank stuff if one of them kicks it.

And don't worry, I'll make sure to tell everybody when that day rolls around!

That's so cool that you've got people to be happy for. As much as I support gay marriage, I actually don't know any gay couples to cheer on. I know a few gay girls, but not well enough for that. It's awesome that they've been together for so long and can finally get married. They made it!

Alright, you better. :3

Maybe me and Elsa should start a band that criticizes religion. :P If we get famous maybe kids will actually READ the lyrics rather than just having the song pass through their ears.

That would be awesome Alexandrus! XD You can be a spark of good music during this time of declining originality. The coolest part is that you'll probably get banned in different places.

You're not the only one who thinks that Fakesunshine. Love is love, and marriage is the celebration of love, thus it is for everyone!

Aw, your mom isn't for gay marriage? That stinks.

I don't think my mom has much of an opinion on the issue. My mom actually asked an interesting question last night. She wanted to know why in in some lesbian couples there's one that's more feminine and one that's more masculine. But more specifically, if the feminine one is attracted to the masculine one, why doesn't she just date a guy. I had no answer for her. It's sexual preference, it's who they fell in love with, I can't explain it more than that.

Yea, it's just a preference, and for some reason she thought I would know the answer. D:

I'm not sure what the term for that is. :?: I myself am more interested in guys, that's not to say that I wouldn't give a girl a chance, I just can't see myself dating one.

Hey, I support ya.
I never saw anything wrong with same sex relationships/marriage, I cant' figure out why people are fighting it so much. I don't think it should matter what you're sexual preference is, we're all human.

Sunshine-- I didn't know you were on here until I clicked here. So you can't say I followed you. :P

It just seems soooo odd to me that this is even an issue. Two consenting adults getting married...How can that NOT be a civil right? I am so confused. Banning gay marriage seems like blatant discrimination.

Sooo....I'd add that stuff to my little signature...but I have no idea how to. Care to help?

Elsa: The only girl? Why can't there be more than one. It would be so much cooler with more girls.

Daria: To edit your signature, go up to the top where it says "My account" On the new page look at the side bar on the left. You'll find edit signature under "Settings and Options"

Fakesunshine: That's cool. :3
