@Wish: Was that directed at me? No, I don't think so. Almost all of my RL commissions have been done via dA, some "well known" artists and many lesser known ones. A lot of my art was actually free too, either from friends or as some sort of freebie.

I've only commissioned about 21 different people using RL money over the course of about 4 years.

@Yume: I've commissioned a fair amount of art using fake currency too. :yes: Not every artist requires payment upfront, and if they do I always take careful consideration to decide if they seem reliable enough to see things through. The method I most prefer is paying half when I see a preliminary sketch or WIP, and the other half when it's all finished.

That sounds reasonable enough. Even if the people seem trustworthy with the paying upfront, I still wouldn't do it. :lol:

Fake currency is just as good as real money for commissioning to me. Especially since I can't do much with fake currency other than buy pixels.

Exactly. I hate when people do that. It just ticks me off.

Once there was some gay (or metro) black guy sitting a rose behind us and a few seats over, that was on the phone when the movie was starting and was just talking extremely loud. He was saying some scary stuff too (sounded a little suicidal also). Finally an old man a couple rows in front of us stood up and started yelling at him and told him to get out. You could tell he was scared to say anything because he was shaking really bad, and when the guy finally left the whole room clapped. :)

Oh.. that poor elderly guy. xDD
But he probably felt better afterward.

Yeah, it was really gutsy and daring of the old man to say something, and you could tell he was terrified.
We were all happy he had said something, but you know his heart must have been flying.
We were all nervous about saying anything, because we didn't know what the guy would do.

SAI just defaults jpg, so I stick with it. I tried saving some in png, but I used to do that when I wanted a transparent background, but SAI doesn't do that for some reason. :/
I'll save yours in png from now on tho, if you want~ 8D
