For the one we have on Mene, I always have to do the highest mode because the others feel too slow for me. D:
Although, since I got hooked on tetris and haven't played it in awhile, I'd probably need to go back to medium for a little while.

for the longest time
i didnt realize you would get more points the higher level you were at
(it was that way on the tetris i used to play)
and i always always started at level one
then i decided to try higher levels and stuck with eight
then tried level ten and been with it ever since

Maybe I should try 10... It's just so fast to start off with...

I tend to start with 7 or 8 anyway.
Because the way I set up the board makes it harder for me on 10. I'm just not quite that quick enough to start on 10.

I can't stand starting on anything lower than 10... the way I play it is risky on the higher levels, but it's infuriatingly slow on any lower level xD

The process I use, and it works great for me, is to match all the peices up perfectly across the bottom accept for the last slot on the far right. And I match them up all right as it goes up, and once I get 4 perfect rows up, i'll drop one of the long 4 oranges in the empty slot and it will give me a lot of points. If I do that three times straight then i'll have over 25k, and then I just get a row or two more and that gives me 26k.
