I don't know if anyone has been following up on some of the announcements at E3, but I thought I'd poke my head in and see. It's awesome as G4 has been showing live coverage of the presentations from all the major companies. Monday was Microsoft, Tuesday was Nintendo and Sony, and I think the rest of the week is just previewing the games on the floor.
I'm definitely looking forward to the Beatles Rockband as it looks absolutely awesome. I think Microsoft brought out some pretty incredible announcements. I don't even play Tony Hawk and that new skateboard peripheral looks like a lot of fun. Their last one with that controller-less gaming was kind of freaky though.
Now Nintendo - I'm really excited to get the new Wii controller adaptation. Apparently it will make it even more sensitive to movement. The Wii Resort looks like a riot as well. We will be definitely getting that for the kids. Aaron nearly wet himself when they annouced the new Mario Galaxy 2 with YOSHI!! I must say it looks super cute. He's also excited about the new Metroid. I'm not so much as I've never been a fan of the series. There's a new Zelda coming out for DS but even Aaron was disappointed as he wanted another Wii title too.
I'm going to have fun when they integrade with facebook - apparently you'll be able to load your DSi photos onto your facebook account. I think that will be alot of fun! :D

I saw some of it, or more like bits and pieces. I'm looking forward to Super Mario Galaxy 2, yeah Yoshi! <3
I'm not too thrilled about the controller-less gaming. I like using a control. I even like the old controllers more then the Wii ones, so yeah i'm not sure if that will be such a great idea. I think people will look weird playing it also.

I think the whole thing Microsoft is doing is a bit creepy too. I prefer having something in my hand - even a Wii remote is better than nothing. Saying that, the I-toy Sony brought out a few years back was an awesome laugh. We had many a night we would sit and play that all night and wake up next day aching all over. Great fun.
Aaron said something about it being invasive...I don't understand where he got that from...

I only watched the trailers for the new Nintendo games.
But... YOSHI! In Super Mario Galaxy! And that New Super Mario Bros Wii... has a penguin Mario. Is that not the coolest thing in the universe?
Plus, new Metroid-y goodness, and Wii Zelda with sexy growed-up Link! =o
Okay, I'm getting fangirl all over everyone now. I'm gonna stop.

I was most excited about the Ico team's coming game, The Last Guardian. I loved Ico and Shadow of the Colossus, and this game looks like it will be just as amazing as the those. Plus, the creature from the trailer is the most adorable giant hyena/bird hybrid I've ever seen. (I really have no idea what it was, but I want one).
I'm also excited about the Final Fantasy games, and I'm surprised that 14 is another online game. I hope with PS3's free online abilities that it won't be pay to play, because that would make me lean against getting it.

Oh yeah. The Last Guardian was that Project Trico thing floating around that people wasn't sure was real or not. It looks really good. I remember the creature looking more cat-like in the other trailer. I could be mistaken. I haven't played Shadow of the Colossus. Plan to at some point. But I did play Ico and it was a great game.
I was really disappointed to learn FFXIV is going to be an MMORPG. That the reason I didn't play XI. I'm really not into them and plus i'm not willing to pay a monthly fee.
I am super psyched for FFXIII though. It looks so good, it makes me salivate. I was going to watch a trailer on Gamespot that shows Shiva being summoned, but then I decided against it. I prefer the thrill of actually seeing it while i'm playing... even though I don't have a current gen console yet. D:
Also... I'm all giddy for Silent Hill: Shattered Memories. I love Silent Hill and am eager to see how this reimagining of the first game plays.

You have to play Shadow of the Colossus. It's a great game and the ending. Man... I still can't figure out how I feel about the ending. Of course, that's in a good way.
If it doesn't have a fee, I might pick it up, but I'm definitely not playing it if there are fees.
Oh yea, watching the summons in the game are awesome. I'd hold of watching them before hand. Just sit in suspense. Ugh, I can't wait for it to come out.
I've never played any of the Silent Hill games.

Im rather interested in what microsoft has brought to the table at E3 - not enough to actually buy anything they make (due to the great customer service they provide =D lol), but im interested to see how its going to work - i think it will be good, but not for long periods of time - I too rather have something in my hand to play :)
About time there is more announcments for GT! Seriously >.>; not for me, but moreso to shut up annoying customers  And i love the new announcments for the nintendo - seriously need to get cracking on the first galaxy then xD my boyfriend adores yoshi!
edit - completly forgot to add, i am really excitied for the last guardian! It looks so interesting, and i love how they have done the graphics on it :O

Many people consider XBOX king in the US and though they do have a few titles I would love to play, I wouldn't buy one either. As you said Tre, customer service is one part of it. The biggest part is the dreaded Red Ring of Death. When are they gonna get that straightened out? Really.
Oh yeah... also looking forward to Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box. ;D

I'm looking forward to The Last Gaurdian as well. The creature looks adorable, except that I feel sad for it since lots of arrows are sticking in it. I played Shadow of Colossus and liked it so i'm sure I will like this game as well.
I'm also looking forward to FFXIII, looks great as usual. I still have to finish FFXII though. ^^; I have most of the other FF games except for XI which I didn't get since it was an online game, if XIV is the same then I sadly won't be getting it as well. I'm not into paying the monthly fee as well. I could just play another game. :P

Hey Howdy, I don't want to toot the mighty X-box's horn (as I'm a big Ninty fan), but when Aaron's original Xbox's fate was the red ring he got straight on with customer service and they shipped him the box to ship it to them AND since it was basically instant death to the machine he got a BRAND NEW xbox sent out with a month's free gold membership card! Since he kept his HD it didn't really hurt him at all. I was very plesantly surprised.
But other than rockband and the odd title, I don't really 'do' Xbox. Their mainstream audience is male-oriented first person shooter type I'm put off. I love my zany, sickenly cute Japanese influenced games! They brought Katamari to the Xbox, which I was squealing with delight. I love my Katamari. Overall, though, when you stack it up if I had to pick I would definately be Ninty all the way. I'm in loooove with my DS!

I think the Beatles is the worst band choice for a Rock Band kind of game.
I really didn't like much of what I saw.
Super Mario Galaxy 2 looks like it will be awesome though

Oh my goodness!! I couldn't disagree more!! I'm soooo excited to get a copy of this -- of course I use to be the biggest Beatles nut in middle school, and yes I was horribly made fun of. I was able to sing all the songs they previewed by heart...it scared me. :XD

Your friend got lucky :P I've called them up so many times for customers before and its just always shocking and a waste of time
Xbox should be shot and burned to death - such a shitty console, and whats worse is microsoft knew about these problems before even its first release but didn't bother fixing it, I wish i could remember the article i read about that in hyper...Microsoft should just stick to computers lol :P
ANYWAY xD
lol i think beatles was a stupid choice too >.>; but meh not like i'll play it, i'd rather play the green day one thats going to be coming out xD
Been reading some more into it, im really really REALLY excited for assassins creed 2! But the release is so soon i fear they will be using the same engine they did for the first one, i just hope they at least add some new things and fix up other things to make it better - i want to swim! lol xDD I can climb up the highest walls but touch water and im dead
And they showed art for the new zelda game on wii! :O I can't wait to see what they are going to do about the master sword :eager:

The friend is actually my boyfriend/fiance Aaron. ;)
I think maybe the customer support outside of America must be crappy? Either that or you're right and Aaron just got through to someone on a good day? (I doubt that as I work in customer service and I know that Microsoft probably act as strict as my place of work is.
Anyways, Rockband Greenday? That's the first I've heard of it, but I passed news onto my Rockband loving fiance, Aaron, and the first thing he moaned is 'can't they just release downloadable content instead?' I think he'd rather pick and choose the handful of songs he'd actually want to play instead of paying $60 for something he doesn't get full use out of.
Oh and I saw pictures of the PSP Go, and I'm not all that enthusiastic about it yet. I don't quite like how it slides open...I'll be tempted to upgrade, but that's if they can actually release more worthwhile content. I can only think of a handful of games that make a purchase of a PSP 'worth it'. The DS has a multitude of great reasons.

The thing I don't like about the PSP Go, is that it doesn't use UMDs. So, everything you want to play has to be downloaded onto it. I hope, with that, they'll at least make it possible to transfer games you already have UMDs of, otherwise, I can only see a bunch of people being mad about having to redownload stuff they already have. And, I'm someone who personally likes the idea of not being out to go out and rent a game before I decide to buy it. It sounds like it will be very easy to waste money on stuff you might not want.

How would that work though? You would obviously need to have a 'regular' PSP and a PSP go to transfer...unless they could somehow implement a system online where you could enter a serial code to unlock the downloadable version? I don't know how they would do that with all the older copies of games though.
I think it's an interesting feature to not have UMDs as they're bigger and bulkier than the tiny DS card you get, but I wonder if they're going to make it easy for people who have already purchased the game to get the PSP GO version. I hope so.
I first need to make sure that the slide down feature doesn't make the system akward to use though.

I was thinking of the "get a code for your old game" idea, but, I don't know how they would be able to pull it off with all the previous games.
I'm not sure how well the slide is gonna work. I guess we'll just have to keep an eye out for costumer reviews.
Anything is better than Xbox Natal.

You know what comes to mind whenever someone mentions E3 2009; sony's mistakes like the stick for the eye toy compared to anything else that was done it fails hardcore and then the PSP Go; I own a PSP it's almost the exact same thing except the controls are going to be in a different place and it slides down.
I'm looking forward to ff14 online that trailer looked so beautiful and I didn't like ff11
