Hello! My name is Boom.

I guess I should get this over with. I usually avoid introducing myself considering that most likely no one would be interested.

I'm a college student, I read manga, regular old comic books, sci-fi novels, and my algebra textbook that I never returned in sophomore year. I also have a geometry book somewhere but I can't seem to find it.

I like to draw, and write. I fancied myself a biology major at one point, but then I am not quite sure at the moment. I am trying to see where my interests take me.

..... My favorite show at the moment is Star Trek: Enterprise, and Star Trek: Next Generation.... I would not call myself a trekkie or trekker but I like watching Star Trek. It is an interesting show.

I will admit I have read the Twilight Series (at least the first two books), and I read the synopsis of the third. I saw the movie, and I had to fight myself from laughing out loud. No offense to those that loved it but if you really do think about it.... It is a total fangirl fantasy. I was able to read the first two books though because, I was beginning college and I didn't want to read anything I had to really.... think about.

ohs... and it is Werewolves all the way.... Just putting out there my vote.

uhm... -thinks-

I don't think I have anything else to say so.... -gets behind the bunker-

GO AHEAD! MAKE MY DAY! -shot-

Hey there. Welcome to the site! ^_^

Well, well, you are the first person I have come across here that watches Star Trek. Very cool. Though since I am pretty new here too I guess it's not that surprising. I love the classic Star Trek show as well as Star Trek: The Next Generation. I have two trekkie parents, so I got pretty hooked early on. XD
Have you seen the new Star Trek Movie? If so, what did you think of it?

Eh. I will also admit to reading the Twilight books. To me, the books are mostly mediocre. they're not horrible, but they're ok for what they are. (It's got too much purple prose in it for my taste for me to really like them a lot in any case.) For me it was one of those books you read when you are sort of bored and you feel like reading something new just for the hell of it. Just sort of taking it for what it was, but not becoming a big fan of it.
lol!! Oh the movie...well, to be perfectly candid it was (to me anyway), very poorly done in almost every aspect possible. I had to fight very hard to keep from giggling most of the way through it, and died laughing after I saw the MST3K/RiffTrax version of it. I swear that thing was made to be riffed.

For people who like it, its fine, I have nothing against anyone who likes the movie. Nor the actors personally. I just...eh.
lol Its funny you mention "fan girl fantasy" because I believe that Robert Patterson (the actor who plays Edward) actually said something similar to that in an interview.

Meh-I vote for...witches! XD ( Which have nothing to do with the books but I don't care lol~ )

Ohoho, like your puny little bunker can withstand some of my heavy fire power.

I love biology (or at least I loved the class last year) and I must admit that I did fan girl a bit over the first... 3 books? (I read them back to back for a while and got a huge dose of Twilight...) But then I regained my senses, when "what?", started hating Bella and Edward. I feel so sorry for ... uh... Jake was his name I guess?
And they weren't werewolves. They were some type of specialized shape shifter... I read that somewhere.
I did not watch the movie as I generally hate movies and how they twist books to try and get more viewers.

Anyways, back on the welcoming topic: READ THE RULES AND TERMS OF SERVICE, so you don't get in trouble.
;D

Feel free to ask questions, I'll try to help.

Hurrz... the TOC.... yes... must find that. Though general politeness should be okay until I read it through. And yes Jacob, I think was one of the characters that I liked. Mostly because I don't know I guess I liked the underdog and he did not seem perfect. And well.... werewolves are just shapeshifters if you think about it they just specialize in shifting into wolves. But... I don't want to go into analyzing words or explaining things I just like for fun.

So anyways...

Now onto Akane, I can call you that yes? Yes I watched the movie, and I liked it a lot. Mostly because of the action scenes and the fighting that happened. I love those sorts of movies. Chekov was so cute <3. I am not that knowledgable of the original Star Trek, but I am going to put the old movies on my "must watch" list.

Yes, you can call me that. lol ^_^
At first I was worried when I heard that they made a new Star Trek movie, but it turned out to be extremely well done, much to my relief. Overall, I loved the movie as well, the action was absolutely awesome, as was the acting. I was amazed at how well they pulled everything off. However, there were two things that were "OOC" and that sort of bothered me. One was the Spock and Uhura pairing. It wasn't done badly or anything-but it was very out of character for both of them-alternate universe or not. Another was the physical appearance of the Romulins. Even though they split off from the Vulcans, they still share an extremely similar appearance-and can even be mistaken for the other. And have been on some episodes. So it was sort of odd seeing them as tattooed and grungy. lol

But anyway, they will have to make a sequel movie to fix the time line. They must in fact, for any of the other episodes/movies to make any sense. lol
But, I will be looking forward too it! Despite my few qualms with it, like I said, greatly enjoyed this last movie so I'm sure they will also create an awesome sequel. I can't wait! X3

Welcome to Menewsha Boom!

I.. need to watch the original Star Trek series. I am kind-of crazy in love with the movie atm (a look at some of the images in my sig will confirm that!) but I want to see what it all came from. :) And yaaay Biology. I majored in Bio and am going to a Ph.D program for it.. so I love it to little bits.

Anyway, I hope you have fun here!

@Akane - The romulans yah... but I was not that familiar with their look so it didn't bother me at first. And then I saw a rerun and I realized that yah.... it was off ^^;;, but it is a great thing for those that don't know much or don't know anything about the series.

@Fiarra - REALLY?! What are you doing with the choice you have made? The reason I am doubting biology is because I'm not quite sure what I really want to do with that knowledge. I had been thinking something along the lines of veterinary science, or.... being a physicians assistant.

I still don't know though... so yah ^^;;

Well I'm starting my Ph.D in the fall so that's like.. 5 years to plan. xD I mean, I specifically want to study marine ecology and have my own lab someday. Basically all this is doing is setting me up to maybe teach and do more research. :)

I know someone who is in vet school now. Specifically cattle animals. He really likes it and it seems like a really fun field of study.

Hi!

Star Trek fan here as well! I have been since I was very young. (In other words, before it was cool...)

But sorry, no werewolf love from me. I'm for the vampires all the way. Confession: I dress up as a vampire nearly every Halloween.

-laughs- I've always had an interest in Star Trek, just recently I've felt I should refresh my memory and start watching the Star Trek: Enterprise... never found interest in it but now I do.

Vampires are okay, it's just.... -shrugs- I don't know they seem overhyped.

I've just started watching Enterprise recently. It's no Voyager or Next Gen, but it's pretty good.

xD I feel like a lot of the older fans are simultaneously excited about the influx of new fans... and a little annoyed that after years of being mocked for being uncool and liking Trek, that suddenly it's cool. *is unfortunately just part of the influx of new fans*

Liking Star Trek was uncool?

I must have really hung with the wrong crowd then. I've always been interested in Sci-Fi, my friends thought I was strange sometimes but they understood. They all had their own inner geek, which is what made us such great friends.

Though... most of my friends got hooked on korean dramas. They got me once or twice but.... obsession only lasted for a week or so.... mostly...
