Hello, and welcome to our hangout, Scenic Aqua!

[Wendy Darling] & [The Harlequin]

[imgleft]http://i642.photobucket.com/albums/uu141/YouuDontKnowMee/4efb0d5f.jpg[/imgleft]I'm Wendy Darling, and I've been around Menewsha since April 2007. My sister, The Harlequin, has been here since May 2007. We just wanted to have a hangout to call our own so we could invite our friends and any others who want to just chat it up and have a good time. So, kick back and relax and enjoy the conversation. Hopefully nothing dull will be happening here!

Rules:
1) Follow Menewsha's ToS / Rules.
2) Don't disrespect the owners.
3) Arguing is a no, but civilized opinionated discussion is fine.
4) Have fun!

Nosotros vamos hacer dos hermanas famosas y marvelosas.

I think. That would mean: We are going to be two famous and marvelous sisters.

I think the famosas part is right. But I'm not sure if marvelosas is correct. Sounds legit enough.

LOL.

It doesn't matter. I speak English. >D

IMO, I think you should have gone with the Deep Crimson Fairy Floss instead of the Cool Breeze, but whatevs, it still looks goo and bright. I'd love that Deep Crimson Belt; it'd match my Carnival Hairpin so much more, but I'm not passing up using the Rainbow Shawl in my avatar. XD

We have bright avatars, yayyy.

The teal color? I wanted to get it, but I'm currently wearing my Teal Space Skirt. Or whatever it's called. And I didn't want the colors to blend or clash or anything of the sort.

Can't you make your rainbow shawl do that thing where it wraps around your arms and floats behind your head? Or would that mean having to take off other items on your avatar?

Hello ladies! How are we doing this fine evening? =D

Thanks for the link and invite, Wendy. I'll make sure that Rose also gets to come over and subscribe as well. =)

It just looks really cluttered and takes away from a lot of the colors if I do one of the other two options. :/

So cute how Boomer is sitting between us. He likes being enclosed. >3

EDIT: Hey, Max! :D No prob for the invite, you're welcome to stay forever. :D Harlequin is my sister, as if you haven't already been able to gather. XD Hopefully more people will drop in soon. :3

Are you sure you would want me to stay forever, Wendy? I might start to be a bad influence on you guys. XD

Boomer sounds adorable. <3 Is he one of your kitties?

Is there a name or something you prefer being called, Harlequin? Can I call you Harley? XD

YES, MAX. FOREVERS. :3 You won't be a bad influence, trust me. I think I'm bad enough. I screamed at my dad to shut up at dinner tonight; I was wholeheartedly serious, too. >_>

Boomer is one of our kitties, our littlest. He's just turned two probably (we don't know his real birthdate). A little spaz, too.

I do that occasionally. XP Though, I can be sometimes a bit more.... pervy. XD Of course, I feel like I'm continuing on subverting the youth of Mene that I do know.

Aww, he sounds adorable! My Stryker, the fatty in the pot, he's about six years old, by our estimations. We got him off the local streets, thankfully we live in a suburb, and he's always been the most lovable, laid-back cat you will find. He even gives me hugs and kisses often. <3

I'd probably make it Harlie instead, just so I don't confuse you in my head for my old dog, or Harley Quinn. XDD Thank you, though. <3

Awwww, that sounds like our Smokey. @[email protected] <3 The only cat we got ourselves was our eldest, Mitten. She's 13 this year and we got her when she was a kitten. Our other four are ones we saved from Animal Control or just took in off the streets that we found like your Stryker. I think finding cats and taking them in feels so much more rewarding than going out and getting a cat that was living in a home but needed to find a new one. I don't know . . . something about the fact a kitty wasn't held or fed for a while versus just moving living environments. I'm rambling, BLAH.

Any variation of 'Harlequin' is fine. :3

Yes; Smokey is gigantic.
Mother says he isn't overweight anymore. But he so totally is.

Nah, he's not overweight, he's just a huge tomcat. His bones and skeletal system are extremely large, especially in comparison to Boomer's little lanky frame.

I know what you mean. We've gone a few different ways with getting our cats. They've either come off the streets, or been bought as a kitten fresh from their mommy, or from the shelter, though I only remember two that we've gotten that way. One was our Siamese, Fuji, who my mom got for her, as she had always wanted one. Another was a Persian-looking thing, we named Meeko, and she had no tail, as it had more than likely been ran over and had to be amputated. =( Meeko could be picky about wanting attention, but when she was wanting loves, you knew it right away. =)

I remember when Stryker was getting settled in, and he would constantly lay on the desk in front of my computer monitor, he was such a tiny ball of fur. My one sister always tried to claim him as hers, but I kept telling her that the cat would claim who he wanted, and it just happened to be me. <3

KEEE, balls of fur. <3 I claim all the kids as mine (I call them my kids), so I kinda know what your sister means. XD Harlequin gets the title of "aunt" automatically; I don't really give her a chance. XD

Fuji and Meeko are such cute names. Wasn't Meeko the name of the raccoon on Disney's Pocahontas movie?

Right. I'm called "aunt," even though Wendy technically never found any of the kids herself.

At least Boomer's name was my idea . . . for once. He's the first kid I've ever officially named.
And he deserves that name. I swear. He's part kangaroo.

Yes! Meeko was that one. I don't know if it was for that reason or another, but the coincidence is funny. XD

I don't try to be mommy, I just am somehow put into that position with the animals. XD For some reason, I can attract most animals to me, even most strangers pets. Mostly cats though. XD

LOL, part kangaroo . . . only because of those skis on his feet. Oh wait, those are his feet.

Max, I'm the same way. Cats are just attracted to me. I'm a total cat person through and through. @[email protected] I'm not a very big dog person, though. I like puppies, not full fledged dogs.

Stryker was named for a similar reason. =D Whenever he bats/strikes at something, he does it with a particular force. Not enough to hurt, but it gets attention. Though after a while, we though that we should change his name to Simba, because he would stand with his back legs on the kitchen table, and his front paws on the back of one of the stools, begging for ice water from the fridge, very similar to the way Simba stands on the top of Pride Rock. XD

HAHA, AWWW. Very cute. I don't know about ice water, but our cats like to play with cubes of ice and bat them across the floor. It beats any toy we could find for them. They're doubtlessly amused. And water's a lot cheaper than toys from Petsmart or something.

Simba, gawww. I wanna watch Lion King now. :x
