Hi there. A short description on the story. It is a sci-fi story. I'm thinking of making it a little humorous. I will edit this message as it continues. That way it will be easier to read. Here it goes.

Prologue

Year 2200 A.D: The earth had lost its last particles of ozone layer. Humans with their will to survive had created cities that will protect them from the hot sun and deadly radiation. Most of these cities looked like the old bunkers. Half of it out side half of it inside the earths crust. Because of the condition of the earth there were no windows. Countries, trade all still existed. Trade was done through subway tunnels that linked continents and cities. Outside these cities were wastelands. Wastelands where creatures created by God and Man roamed and claimed the land. Man had once thought by creating a sturdier environment they will be able to live free from the cities. Releasing their creations was their biggest mistake for it only brought death to the few surviving and evolving creatures of earth.

Year 2270 A.D: In a sense anti-gravity was found by pure luck and misconceptions. Scientists were astonished when a young teenager with the name Sam Mires had presented it in a high school project competition. People were even more shocked when Sam Mires gave out the blue-prints of the project over the internet. Hence destroying the chance of monopolizing the anti-gravity industry.

Year 2280 A.D: Even tough anti-gravity had been along for ten years it was still not used due to the huge energy consumption. Thanks to Sam Mires and his adopted brother Jim Saran’s works the first energy cell was invented which was able to run a SamJim-1 levitating platform model for an hour. The SamJim-1 was capable of lifting 3 tons over any surface. Its blueprints can still be found on the web.

Year 2281 A.D: Sam and Jim to distribute their knowledge founded the company LianaMelike Co. naming it after their beloved wives. The LianaMelike Company was the first company to send the first space ship that used the SamJim motors to moon. The mission was beyond successful. Man who had destroyed his own earth was now given a chance to escape it. Sam Mires, Jim Saran and Nauru Yamato formed the first company with the only purpose to find a planet to colonize. They named the company New Worlds Co.

Year 2282 A.D: Jim Saran and Liana Mires was assassinated on the 27th of March. Many fanatic organizations claimed the horrible incident however thanks to Sam Mires and Nauru Yamato’s investigations it turned out that the European Union President Nichols Moiré had ordered the killing in order to gain control and monopolize the company New Worlds Co. Nichols Moiré was the first European to be hanged since the forming of the union by the union. The new European Union President promised all available assets to help the cause of New World Co.

Year 2290 A.D: Sam Mires with his wife’s and best friend's death that year no longer was heard of. It seemed he had vanished away after the simple funeral for the both of them. New Worlds Co. had created their biggest and most advanced caravan with 200 WorldFinder class ships. Each ship contained 5,000 men and women with the provisions to last them forever. The ships were equipped by the new wormhole generators that were invented by the LianaMelike Companies scientists. This enabled them to travel great distances in mere days. The caravan was dubbed the name Jim’s Fleet.

Year 2299 A.D: Nauru Yamato announced that Sam Mires had gone with the caravan. And added that a new world was found which was very similar to earth. This world was dubbed Liana. Nauru Yamato also added all worlds were going to be treated just like Antarctica and no country clan or any other society will claim land. Couple months and assassination attempts later Nauru Yamato became the first Galactic Union secretary that year. All worlds explored and found since than belonged to the Galactic Union. The union had all countries within its walls with only two representatives for each country. The union on its first year with the help of Nauru Yamato created the Bill of Worlds.

Year 2304 A.D: The Galactic Union moved to Liana and it announced that Liana will be the first Galactic Capital World. After this year caravans were agreed to be sent every ten years from the space ports over Liana to find and colonize earth like worlds.


Year 2432 A.D: The Galactic Union now controls twelve worlds. By the data to date, there is only one animal in the Galaxy dangerous to man—man himself.


Chapter 1. The Recruits for the Senator

2432 A.D. The planet Liana
Capital District, The Galaxy Union Castle
9am EST Liana Standard

Senator Carmen was looking down in to the castle gardens. It was the bright sun creating the reflections on the garden fountain that caught her eye and made her look down to the gardens. The gardens were indeed beautiful, with its romantic fountains and scented flowers that were intelligently positioned. There was a saying in Liana; everyone had something they would like in the gardens.

A man with simple wear approached Senator Carmen.

“Senator?” said the man in the most humble way he can. If it had been another day he would have walked in and just told her what the news was but now...

“Yes Jason? I think you have a good reason to make me wait? The gardens may be beautiful but not enough to waste my time…”

“Of course not, Senator. However the Castle has too many ears and…” answered Jason Carsella as defensively as he could knowing how dangerous it was to anger the senator.

“Then speak! And be quick about it. And lower your voice there is no such place where this castle doesn’t have ears…”

“My report was on project Savior…” he said hastily.

“Project Savior? I don’t remember such a project name…” cut senator Carmen.
“It is about the one on the moon which belongs to...”
“Yes. Yes continue… ”
“Well my lady it turns out our scientists were … successful…however”
“However something went wrong. I can make out that much from the sound of your pitiful voice…so tell me…how bad is it? And why are you telling me? You know the protocol. I think a simple cleanup will…”
“Madam…”Jason now looked quite pale and tired. He hadn’t slept for the last four days. Lady Carmen looked annoyed.
“Madam” continued Jason in an even more weary way. “If the standard protocols had worked I wouldn’t have called you. There seems to be a problem. The mercenaries I have hired….well… we have lost contact with them…”
“Than hire new mercenaries…” cut Senator Carmen.
“I have my lady however…this our fifth mercenary band we have hired and according to the protocols put by your late father we had to inform you about the situation…”
“I see…” said Lady Carmen looking out in to the gardens once again. More tourists were coming in through the front gates and looking around taking photos. This was all her fathers fault if he hadn’t been so greedy... Than maybe they would have been one of the simple representatives that kept their seats with little or no struggle but it was never that simple. The wars between countries continued. However now… it was all done by daggers in the night.

“So tell me Jason. What steps do we take now?” asked Lady Carmen still looking distractedly at the tourists.
“My lady, I do not know. If we send more mercenaries we will attract more attention. However if we do not… The consequences would be devastating…”
“Yes, I know…Very well. This calls for drastic measures. Who do we have that won’t talk and can do the job?” asked Lady Carmen. Jason did not answer.
When no response was made she turned to Jason.
“There is no one?” asked Lady Carmen again. Jason lowered his head and shook his head from side to side.
“I see. Very well. Do some research and find some young people. We will settle this like in the olden days. Dispose of them once their mission ends.” said Lady Carmen.

Jason shuddered although the sun already started burning his balded head. With a sigh he asked;
“My Lady… How are we going to choose them?”
Lady Carmen smiled. “Assign Wolf to choose them. I always wanted to get rid of that relic.”
Jason bowed and left. He knew that this would be her response but he had to ask anyway. A favor to his old friend.
Lady Carmen took one more look onto the tourists and turned towards to door. It was cooler inside. She felt that it was not a bad day after all.
