"First you tell me to forget, and now you think you can order me around." Charlotte was not happy with him at the moment, and not knowing who he is only angered her. Once home she grabbed hold of his hand and kept him there.

"I will have you're name good sir, or I will not allow you to leave." Charlotte was stern with him even though it was rude. A proper lady as herself should have simply let him help, and be on is way. Still she couldn't do that. It wasn't right not knowing know had come to her aid let alone have him order her.

"Please sir, you're name." She asked him one last time.

(Sorry I've been gone so long.)

Victor looked confused for a moment but he let it pass quickly before he hardened his expression again. He knew he could easily get away from her, after all she was just a human. The way her hand held his was interesting, he could feel the warmth emanating from her skin. The thirst grew in him for a moment and he jerked his hand away suddenly.

"If you insist upon my name," he said in a gentle tone. "My name is Victor, but as I said, it's not important." She was too close to him right now and if he wanted to he could drink her blood. He backed away slowly, getting ready to run if he had to.

Charlotte was glad to see him give in. After all it was a simple name and nothing more. Letting him go and standing there as the rain finally began to ease up Charlotte smiled.
"I thank you Victor, and I hope to see you again." she bowed respectfully. it was amazing how quickly her attitude changed when he gave in.

"It's a shame we had to meet on such a dreary night, but maybe another night we may meet again." Charlotte bowed once more and left to go inside. It was strange normally she just ignored people, but he wanted nothing from her. It was strange but him wanting nothing to do with her made Charlotte feel at ease. Once inside she sat alone in her room her clothing was soaked, but her spirit was restless.

"I wonder where he came from.."

Victor just watched her as she bowed and then walked into the house. He could hear her heart beat and smell her blood, but he did nothing. He stood their ridgid, barely seeming to breath and not moving. When she was inside though he made his way up to perch atop the roof. He felt sick, the loneliness that he'd developed or the past years sank down on him as he sat. His hair was plastered to his face now and his eyes, a deep burgundy focused intently on the horizon.

His power of control hadn't worked on her and it frustrated him. He slouched slightly as he stared at the horizon, wanting to run away from this place and yet feeling tied to it at the same time.

Charlotte brushed her damp hair from her face and tired it back. She'd changed her clothing and went off to find a warmer part of the house. Her room was chilly from being so close to the water, but the den was always warm. Being closer to the middle of the home and it had a bigger fire place. Walking along she heard a strange sound coming from somewhere upstairs. Looking around she felt the sound was to big to be a rat. Something bigger maybe?

"This place is haunted I swear." She chuckled to herself as she followed the sound.

Victor wanted to go in but didn't want to disturb Charlotte. He would wait till she was asleep and he would enter then, but if it was too late then what would he do. He stood up again before moving towards the window that he always entered and slipped down to the overhanging roof next to it. He sat next to the window then, ready to go inside when he first saw the night changing into day light. It was the best spot, he could see anyone who came to the front and he could also see them when they began to approach.

A sound from the roof startled her again. Why was there so much noise this time of night. Moving quickly she opened the door leading to the attic. Last time she went up there so late she was lost in the maze.
"I'll have to clean it out in the morning." She said to herself. If there was an animal up there it might have been lost just like her.

Charlotte wanted to go upstairs, but her fears got the best of her. Strange how something became frightening in the dark. Moving along she her the thunder, and then a sudden clash of lightening. At the window down the hall she thought there had been a man lurking in, but that would be absurd. Covering her eyes she tried to remain calm and slipped into the den.

Victor could hear her inside the house, moving about. He sensed the fear in her and he became still. He didn't intend for her to be frightened, he just wasn't sure where else he could go. This had been his home for such a long time and she'd been the one to come into it. He remembered the first time that he'd seen her though. It would be less awkward if he just knocked on the front door and asked to stay there. He looked into the window briefly just to see what was happening before he sank back onto the roof.

Charlotte curled up with a throw blanket and a notebook. There was no fire going, but the room was warm and after some time it was cozy. Writing by her candle light she decided to let her family know everything was alright. Telling them of the weather and her days since she came; Charlotte realized how boring her life sounded on paper. Then again she wasn't telling them everything; like the strange sounds and the man she'd met.

After awhile she fell asleep in the chair. Her candle went out, and she wouldn't wake till morning.

Victor was tiring of the loneliness he was feeling with her so close. He'd always known Charlotte from the way he'd had descriptions from her grandmother. He looked in longingly for a moment before entering silently. She would be frightened if he approached her now but being in the same building as her made him feel a little more comfortable. Her red hair always reminded him of the sun, the vibrancy of it and yet the highlights and low lights that gave it richness.

By morning Charlotte felt a little better, but she really didn't know the time. It felt like she'd slept for days, but that would be impossible. Looking outside it seemed slightly dark, and the sky was a soft purple tone. walking to the hall she found it was only about five o'clock. Sighing she moved the hair from her face.

"Why am i up this freaking early?" She complained.

While Charlotte had been a sleep Victor had snuck into the closet that was in the upper most floor. The doors were shut and he was leaning quietly against the wall, book in hand. He had great eyesight because of how used he was to the dark and the small amount of light that filtered through the crack illuminated the pages.
