"Don't worry about us. We were planning on going to Jack's anyways. We'll be safe what with his dad being a cop." Matthew assured her.

"Yes, princess. You're shining knight in armour will be very safe." Ben smiled, batting his eyelashes.

"Just take care of Leane, alright?" Matthew asked Jenny. "I knew this would happen. And I knew Leane would take it out on herself." He sighed.

Jenny rolled her eyes playfully at Ben, a smile on her lips as she teased, "A Knight, huh.. I think you're along the lines of a Court Jester than a Knight."

Looking back at Matt, her look softened as she placed a hand on his shoulder, "Hey, don't worry about Lee. Jo and I are staying with her tonight, she's pretty grossed out by Kurt kissing her like he did. She just needs some sleep and some serious vegging out tomorrow. After she practically eats her weight in Veggie Sushi, Rice, and Sesame Chicken while watching Sixteen Candles, The Breakfast Club, Ferris Beuller's Day Off, and all those other oldies she's in love, with she'll be better. Just, don't expect her to totally feel like it isn't her fault, okay? Since it was Kurt who was involved, it's even harder on her. That jerk's been after Leane since we were in preschool. His parents are determined he'll marry in the Supton Fortune, so Leane knows full well what this guy is like. She's worried about you, so be careful alright? I'm not too sure Jack's father being a cop is going to make a different to a drunk football team, but it will definitely help," she added with a sigh, "I'll see you guys at school, alright? Take care of yourselves and try not to get yourselves too banged up," she added as she turned and headed back to the house.

Not getting very far, Jenny turned back towards the car, "By the way, Jo and I can't stay with Leane tomorrow to make sure she doesn't blow up from all the food she'll ingest, can one of you check on her? Josh has work so he'll be gone as well, I don't trust her by herself. If she is, by the time Josh gets back there will be no food left in that house. You'd be surprised how much that girl can eat," she added with a laugh.

"I'll check on her." Matthew said quickly. "I'd planned on stopping by anyways." He said giving one last wave to Jenny before pulling out of Leane's driveway and making his way to Jack's house.

"Hey guys!" Jack called from the doorway. "Come on in." He waved, leading the three of them to his basement.

"You missed all the drama at the Ball." Ben said as they sat on the couch in the basment. He went on to tell about the rumors that started when Leane had disappeared with Matthew to the Kurt incident and spent a longer time, exaggerating a bit, about how he had punched Kurt in the jaw.

After taking a couple ibuprofin, Leane went straight to bed.

Joanna, Josh, Jenny, Paolo, and Georjiano all talked about the ball, each having a different point of view and information to tell, and began thinking of the best way they could help Leane and Matt come out of this on scathed. However, the entire thing was easier said than done..

Ben fell asleep first, stretched across the couch. "He's got some guts taking on Kurt like that." Jack said before sighing. "I wish I could've been there to back you up."

"I know you would've." Matthew said, laying down on the loveseat adjacent to the couch where Ben was starting to snore. "What happened with you anyways?" He asked.

"Gena wanted to leave. She feels awful. She's going to try and make it up to you." Jack said.

"I knew she would. It won't take much for me to forgive her though. She's one of my best friends." He shrugged before closing his and letting sleep take him.

Jack smiled, happy that things were starting to look up before laying across his sleping bag and falling asleep.

The next afternoon, Leane woke up with a groan. Sore. And in pain. How in the world bruises could hurt so much, she had no idea. She blamed her mother.

Getting up, Leane slipped out of bed and noticed Joanna and Jenny had already gone. "What time is it.." she asked herself as she got up from her bed and went to the bathroom to take a long, hot shower. Feeling a bit better after the hot water, Leane dried her hair and put on a pair of sweatpants and a baggy T-shirt. She felt like a bum today and just wanted to be comfortable while she vegged out and watched movies.

Making her way to the kitchen, Leane asked the chef to prepare a bunch of Chinese food for her, with a couple egg rolls in the mix, before heading home. Thanking her, Leane left the kitchen and moved to the living room to place The Breakfast Club into the DVD player.

Laying on the couch, curled up in a blanket, Leane wondered how Matt was doing as she flipped on the TV and begun the movie.

Matthew woke up the next day with his arm hanging over the side of the loveseat. Getting up quietly as he could, Matthew felt his back crack at the movement. He moved swiftly to the bathroom and showered before changing into the clothes he'd left at Jack's house the day before.

"Morning." Ben said cheerily as Matthew came back into the basement.

"You should really not be a morning person." Matthew muttered.

"Techinically I'd be an afternoon person." Ben corrected with a smile, flicking on the tv to cartoons.

"Very funny, I'm going check on Leane so can you tell Jack thank you for letting me stay over?" Matthew asked.

"Sure thing." Ben said, not taking his eyes off of Tom and Jerry.

"Cartoon addict." Matthew laughed as he headed up the stairs and made his way to his car which was decorated with spray paint. "Wonderful." He sighed, deciding it'd be best if he stopped at the car wash before Leane's.

Halfway through the movie, Leane's food was finished. A buffet table of sorts was set out in front of her, yet not blocking her view of the TV as she laid down. Not touching the food, Leane simply watched the movie, not having the energy to sit up and function quite yet,

The servants, unaware of what happened at the ball, talked amongst themselves in the servants quarters, all having noticed Leane's bruises, each speculating how it could have happened and expecting the worst scenario.

Matthew checked his car after the car wash, happy that all of the spray paint had been washed off. Driving to Leanes, he parked in her driveway quickly before walking up to her door. Hitting the doorbell, Matthew stood nervously as he wondered how Leane was doing and hoping she wasn't feeling guilty anymore.

Forgetting that Matt was coming, Leane didn't bother to ask who was at the door, knowing that Carson would tell her if it was for her.

A man opened the door shortly after the bell rang. Carson, the Butler. Looking at the boy in front of him, Carson eyed him, "Yes? May I help you young man?"

"I'm looking for Leane, I'm Matthew Sommers. I promised I'd check in on her." Matthew said to the butler, feeling slightly inferior under the butler's glare.

"I'm afraid Ms. Supton is not feeling well today, so I do not believe she will wish for visitors. I will inform her of your inquiry. Good day, Mr. Sommers," replied Carson as he shut the door.

Making his way to the living room, Carson cleared his throat, "Eh-hem. Excuse me Madam, a Mr. Sommers has called upon you. He looked like one of the ruffians who try to weasel their way into your family. I told him I would inform you of his arrival, but you did not wish to have any visitors."

Leane's eyes went wide, "Oh Carson, you didn't!"

Shoving the blankets off of her, Leane scrambled off the couch and ran over to Carson, "Carson, he's my boyfriend! The one guy I said could call on me! When did he come here?"

"I have only just left him, Madam. Forgive me for misunderstanding. I simply had your best interest in mind."

Smiling at Carson, Leane nodded, "I know, thank you." As she thanked him, she ran to the front door, hoping to catch Matt before he left.

Matthew stood, a puzzled look on his face, as the butler slammed the door in his face. Shaking his head, Matthew made his way back to his car. Of course she wouldn't want to see him, she was probably blaming him for what'd happened. It would only be fair. Its better then blaming herself... Matthew sighed as he opened the car door. He took one last glance at Leane's house, remembering the bliss he'd been in when he'd been kissing Leane.

Throwing the front door open, Leane saw Matt getting into the car. Running out, leaving the door open and not bothering to throw on shoes, Leane rushed across the porch and down the steps. "Matt! Wait!" she called as she ran across the pavement to his car. When she reached him, she wrapped her arms around his waist and leaned against him, catching her breath, "Don't go.. I'm sorry about Carson. He didn't realize who you were. Please stay.."

"Whoa." Matthew said as Leane collided with him. "Its alright." He soothed as he wrapped his arms around her and placed a kiss on her scalp, relieved that she wasn't angry with him. Despite how much of it was his fault. "I'll stay." Matthew promised tilting Leane's chin up and giving her a tender kiss.

"So what are we going to do today?" He asked, putting an arm over Leane's shoulders and ushering her back to the house.

Leane laughed, "Well, now that I know they didn't kill you last night on your way home, we can relax. I was just watching The Breakfast Club and getting ready to eat some Chinese food. If you don't like Chinese Food, I can find something else in the cupboards. Our cook won't be back until later, though, and I'm not that great at cooking, so you'd have to make it yourself.." she added with a blush as she shut the door behind them.

"Chinese food sounds delicious." Matthew said. "I'm a fan of egg rolls." He added as he sa ton the couch, pulling her down next to him and giving her a small kiss before turning to the tv. "I love this movie." He said absentmindedly as the characters scrolled across the screen.

Leane laughed, "Me too, on both accounts." Using the rice spatula, Leane piled a bunch of the yellow rice into her rice bowl from the 'buffet table' in front of her. Picking up her chopsticks, she placed broccoli and Sesame Chicken onto the rice and rolled it in it. Once the food was covered in rice, Leane began eating as the characters raced through the hallways, trying to get back to the library before they got caught.

Matthew scooped up a bowl, filling it with the seaseme chicken and watched the characters run frantically. "You know, you continue to amaze me." Matthew said. "I never would've thought you were in to older movies."

Leane laughed as she teased, "Well you surprise me as well. I never would have thought you'd like The Breakfast Club. I would have thought all you watched were things like Dracula or Night of the Living Dead or Frankenstein."

Popping a piece of broccoli into her mouth, Leane set her bowl onto the table and placed her chopsticks on top of the bowl. Standing up, she climbed over the side of the couch and headed towards the fridge, calling behind her, "Want anything to drink?"

"No thanks." Matthew called back, settling into the couch. "And I am a big horror fan but that doesn't mean I can't appreciate other movies." He added. "Besides if I didn't know you better, I'd think that you were filling your head with Bring It On." He said.

Coming back with a bottle of Cranberry-Apple Juice, Leane hopped back over the couch and set the drink on the table as she teased, "Perhaps I am. Haven't you noticed the use of Spirit Fingers and Ballroom Dancing in our routines?"

Picking up her bowl, Leane began eating once more as she sat close to Matt, her knees brushing his thigh.

"Oh, Leane. What am I going to do with you?" Matthew teased. "What with your bad movie taste." He laughed, wrapping an arm around Leane's shoulders.

Leane laughed as she teased, "Well, you could always drop me due to my idea of the Bible being Sugar and Spice and Bring It On.. Or," she added with a grin as she set her bowl down on the table, took his bowl and placed it beside her own, and then loosely wrapped her arms around Matt's neck as she sat on her knees beside him, "You could always keep me and kiss me instead."

"Well the dropping option is very tempting." Matthew teased with a smile. "But I'm going to have to go with the kissing." He laughed, pulling Leane closer to give her a kiss. He carressed her lips slowly at first before becoming more passionate, his arms wrapping around her waist.
