Pulling into the parking lot, Leane pulled into her usual spot, even though she spotted Matt a few spaces down as she pulled in. Turning her car off, Leane opened the door, locked her car, grabbed her things, and shut the door.

Smiling, Leane made her way over to Matt and dropped her things on the hood of his car. Wrapping her arms around his neck and leaning against him, Leane looked up at him, "Morning handsome."

"Morning." Matthew grinned, putting his arms around her waist and pulling her close for long kiss. "You're looking beautiful as always." Matthew smiled as he put his arm around her waist and led her towards the school. "How'd you sleep?" Matthew asked as he opened the school door for Leane.

Slipping her arm around his waist, Leane looked up at him with a smile, "I fell asleep shortly after you left and Carson gave me the lecture of the century, so not too bad actually. My morning on the other hand? Not the greatest until I saw you," she added with a laugh as she bumped her hip against his, "What about you? How as the dreaded family dinner?"

"Well my aunt had too much to drink and announced that she was divorcing her husband then they made up in the laundry room." Matthew said with a scowl. "And that is exactly why I try to tell my mother to hide any alcohol from Aunt Tammi." He laughed. "I think she finds it entertaining."

Leane couldn't help but laugh as they reached her locker. Leaning back against it, Leane set her things on the floor and wrapped her arms around Matt's neck, "Sounds like your evening was a bit more eventful than mine, and I honestly don't blame your mother. It would have amused me to see such a sight as well," she teased with a laugh as she pulled Matt in for a tender kiss.

Matthew fought back a grin as he lightly pushed her against the locker. "Leane." Matthew teased as he pulled away from the kiss. "You should really behave yourself in school." He added with a playful wink before letting her go and leaning away from her.

Leane rolled her eyes playfully as she leaned into him for another kiss before bending down and picking up her bags, "Perhaps, but we've never known me to actually follow the rules, now have we? Besides, I think kissing you's well worth misbehaving," she teased as she opened her locker and set her things inside. Turning back around she wrapped her arms back around Matt's neck and leaned in for a long, tender kiss as her tongue softly slipped between his lips, "See you in a bit?"

"Of course." Matthew agreed, returning her kiss before leaving for his locker in the adjacent hallway.

Reaching his locker, Matthew earned a curious smile from Jack. "You're going to get in trouble with all that kissing." Jack smirked.

"It'll be worth it when we're getting kicked around in the locker room." Matthew smirked.

"Fights are always entertaining. I've got your back." Jack smiled before walking towards the English room with Matthew at his side..

As Leane got her things for English and shut her locker, Leane turned around and nearly went face first into Kurt's chest. Looking up, Leane rolled her eyes and pushed past him, "Kurt, get out of here. Haven't you done enough damage?"

Kurt simply smirked, "Lee, don't be angry. I wasn't all that bad was I?"

"It was revolting to say the least," relied Leane icily as she quickened her pace down the hallway.

"Oh come on, Lee. We all know I'm a better kisser than that freak."

Stopping in her tracks, Leane turned around and slapped Kurt across the face, not even dignifying his remark with an answer. Turning back around, Leane stormed off towards English, leaving Kurt with a scowl upon his face watching her storm off.

Slamming her books down on her desk, Leane sat down in her usual spot and folded her arms staring at her books with a harsh glare. Joanna, afraid to say anything to Leane, headed over to Matt before sitting in her usual seat. "Something happen between you to I should know about? She's on the war path!" she whispered hurriedly with a nod towards Leane.

Matthew shook his head at Joanna with a puzzled expression on his face, his eyes never leaving Leane. She'd seemed fine only minutes before. Matthew glanced at the clock, they still had a few minutes before class started. Moving quietly to sit at an empty desk beside Leane's as the other students talked, Matthew leaned over to Leane.

"What's wrong?" He asked, his voice layered with confusion and worry.

Leane looked over at Matt and muttered one word, "Kurt."

Sighing, Leane put her face into her hands and rested her elbows onto her desk on each side of her book as she told Matt what happened in the hallway. "I know it shouldn't get to me, but it's just.. ugh! How the hell could he have thought I would have liked that?! And how dare he say anything about you! I cannot wait for weekends and Thanks Giving Break. The less I have to see him the better. It's bad enough I have to cheer for him at the football games," she added with a groan.

Matthew felt his hands curl into fists as he listened to Leane. Fighting to keep his voice even he said, "I wouldn't worry about it." Matthew's teeth clamped together out of anger.

Reaching to run his fingers through her hair, Matthew placed a light kiss on her forehead. "I'll see you after class." He whispered into her hair before returning to his seat.

"So, definetely a fight then?" Jack whispered as the teacher called for attention.

"We'll to see if he starts anything. If not then I'll start something." Matthew agreed coldly, his eyes fixed directly ahead of him.

For another day in the past week, Leane was glad she had English first period. And today? Was not review. They were beginning their new novel. Glad to have something to do, Leane immersed herself in the novel and the study guide that was passed out to go with it.

When the bell rang, Leane didn't even notice, to busy forgetting about the incident with Kurt by reading further and further into the novel. As people started walking by her, however, her attention was caught by the rustling of fabric and she began packing up her things.

"How's the book?" Matthew asked as he waited by her side. Putting his arm around her and leading her out the door he added, "Do you always speed read like that?" He asked, guiding her through the halls to her locker.

Leane blushed "Only when I need to forget about something and calm down. It was either that or leave class and have an early art period. Are you surprised I can read?" she added with a small laugh as she opened her locker. Putting her books away, Leane turned to Matt and placed a tender kiss upon his lips, noticing he'd yet to get a scowl off of his face.

Slipping her arms around his waist, Leane rested her forehead against his chest, "Look, don't worry about Kurt. He knew I'd flip and you'd end up either seeing me furious or hearing about it from someone else. He's not worth the effort, okay? So don't you dare start something over this.. It's really nothing, I just.. overreacted a bit I guess.."

"Right." Matthew said with a forced smile on his lips, knowing full well that he wouldn't need to start anything. He was positive that Kurt or some other airhead would start something first. In fact, he was relying on it.

"I'll see you later." He said, bending down to give Leane a long kiss, pressing her body against his. "I love you." He smiled down at her, not having to force the smile this time, before turning to leave for second period.

Sighing, Leane turned back to her locker and got out her Calculus things. Deciding to take the long way around to the Calculus room so she could talk to Jenny, who had rushed up and wanted to know what happened with Kurt, Leane didn't even notice a vile figure waiting for Matt at his locker, nor did she witness what occurred after.

When Matt got to his locker, he saw Kurt leaning against his locker. "So uh, Sommers, is it? Look, we both know you're not right for Leane Supton. I mean, come on, you're pathetic. What's this, Walmart clothing," he asked with a smirk and he picked at Matt's hoodie.

"This little moment of insanity she's having is going to get you hurt, I'm only trying to be helpful. Ya know, man to man. Just screw her and dump her before you get too attached. That way your life will have a bit of meaning to it, seeing as how you'll be able to say you scored the hottest Head Cheerleader to enter highschool, not to mention the richest. So whaddya say Matt? Make a date, screw her like you mean it, tell her she just isn't your type, then leave her," he added with a smirk as he started walking away, calling back over his shoulder, "And don't worry, I'll be there to soothe her and pick up the pieces. We'll have a nice chat."

Matthew slammed his locker shut, Jack and Ben appearing at his flanks. "Now, dude?" Ben whispered.

Not bothering to answer, Matthew ran to catch up with Kurt and grabbed him by the front of his shirt. Throwing him against the lockers behind him, Matthew eyes lit on fire as he ignored the growing crowd around him. "How about you stop talking to my girlfriend? In fact you can stop talking to her, talking about her, or even thinking about her." He suggested, Ben and Jack on either side of him as they waited for Kurt's response.

Removing Matt's hands from him and straightening his shirt, Kurt simply smirked, "Touchy touchy. Aren't we a bit controlling. I don't think our sexy little minx is going to appreciate being told who she can and cannot talk to and be around. Did you ever think maybe she's just trying to get me jealous by being with you? Get real, Sommers, why else would she date a lowlife like you? Now, keep your hands off me, before you and your little pipsqueak friends get hurt," he added as he shoved Matt backwards.

"If she's just trying to get you jealous then why is she still with me?" Matthew laughed as he straightened himself up. "Oh, that's right." He said as if remembering something. "Because you repulse her. The only jealous one here is you, Kurt." He said before walking away, knowing he was going to be late for computers.

Kurt, his face scarlet, stalked over to Matt. Turning him around, he planted his fist into his face and shoved him to the ground. Holding him up by his shirt, Kurt spat in his face, "Why the hell would I be jealous of a freak like you. Keep it up, Sommers, and you won't make it home tonight," Kurt threatened before shoving him to the floor and kicking him in the side, which was surely going to leave one hell of a bruise. Standing over Matt with a smirk, Kurt gave stepped on his stomach before heading off to his next class, which was just around the corner.

"Damn it." Matthew muttered as he stood up, supported by Ben and Jack. "Leane's going to be pissed when she sees this." He sighed, holding his sleeve up to his bloody nose.

"We didn't even get a good shot it." Jack sighed, disappointed.

"Next time." Ben promised. "Are you going to be alright?" He asked Matthew who had just crumpled forward.

"Yeah, yeah." Matthew muttered. "I don't want Leane seeing this. She'll lose it."

"If you go home it'll be worse." Ben pointed out.

"I know." Matthew said, straightening up and cringing from the pain. "I'll be fine though. My nose isn't bleeding anymore now. That's a good sign." He laughed as the three made their way to second period, which was nearly over as it was.

When the bell rang, Leane gathered her things and headed for her locker. During her art class, she figured she'd get a head start on her Calc homework since she was nearly done with her drawing as it was. Spotting Ben in the hallway as she looked around for Matt, Leane grabbing her art supplies and adding them to her book pile, Leane shut her locker and headed over to Ben, "Hey, where's Matt? I wanted to see if he was coming out to the usual spot this period."

"Uh, I'm not sure where's Matt." Ben said uneasily. "I advised the nurses' but he wouldn't hear it. Maybe he went to his gym locker for a new shirt?" He said, avoiding eye contact.

"Hey guys." Matthew said, his nose bruised and swollen with an arm wrapped protectively around his side. He had in fact changed his shirt, not wanting to gross Leane out with the blood.

Leane's eyes grew wide as her books fell to the ground in a huge clatter, "What.. happened.. to you..?"

Looking to Ben, Leane read it in his face, her voice growing thick as she got a sick feeling in the pit of her stomach, "He did it.. didn't he.. I knew this was trouble from the start.. What have a gotten you into.."

Reaching out and softly caressing his nose and cheek with her fingertips, careful not to hurt him, Leane sighed, "Matt... you promised.. You promised that you wouldn't do anything.."

Noticing his hand on his side, Leane placed her hand over his as she bit her lower lip, "I'm so so sorry Matt..."
