Peeking at the screen, Leane saw shots of the body sprawled out over the desk. Glaring up at Matt, Leane turned her face back into his neck as she whispered, "Liar! The body's still being showed! And it's so disturbingly disgusting," Leane added with a shudder.

"Don't worry, its not real." Matthew smiled as he held Leane closer. "Besides she's going to come back and invade the town with a zombie army." He smirked. "It won't be as bad, it'll just be like a walking corpse. Well a few hundred of them." He laughed quietly as the screen flashed to the gril crawling out of her grave. "Why is it that when zombies take over that everyone runs to the mall?" He pondered as the townspeople hid in the mall with weapons as the zombies stalked forward through the parking lot.

"Well they make it far too realistic! And they go to mall because if they're going to die, they might as well look their best, right?" she teased with a small laugh as she turned to face her lap so she could eat her popcorn but not have to see the zombies, only glancing up long enough to grab her drink and put it back in the holder.

Finishing her popcorn, Leane set the empty bag by her purse and snuggled close to Matt. Pulling her legs closer, she let her knees rest on the side of Matt's thigh while her feet rested just under her bottom, her cheek resting on his shoulder as she linked her hand through his on his thigh, his other arm still around her shoulders.

Matthew smiled as Leane cuddled closer to him. Placing a small kiss in Leane's hair he whispered, "Maybe but there's probably great deals at the end of the world." He smiled as the zombies broke through the glass doors. "Close your eyes." He advised just as the zombies began devouring the citizens who weren't fast enough to get away.

Leane did as she was told as her hand unconsciously gripped Matt's hand tighter as she turned her face into Matt's neck and bit her bottom lip. "I don't know how you can be enjoying this," she whispered softly, knowing full well what was going on for she could hear the flesh being ripped and the screams echoing throughout the Mall, not to mention the gun shots.

"Its fun to be scared." Matthew whispered as the devouring continued. "Its like getting an adrenaline rush." He smiled. "Alright. They've stopped eating people." He laughed quietly. "For now anyways." He added with a laugh.

Leane rolled her eyes with a chuckle as she snuggled closer to Matt, "I think, I'll stay right here. My heart's racing enough as it is, I don't need to risk seeing more zombies savagely rip people apart for kicks again."

"I can't say I mind." Matthew smiled as he held Leane close. "But I promise the savage part is over. See? Its at the happy ending." He said as the remaining survivors limped out of the mall, their clothes ripped and spotted with blood. "That wasn't so bad was it?" He smiled as he rested his chin on Leane's head.

Peeking over at the screen, Leane watched as the survivors walked through a disaster city scattered with bodies of zombies and humans alike. Wrinkling her nose, Leane turned her head back into Matt's neck and placed a tender kiss upon his skin before she whispered, "Sitting next to you was the only good part. The rest was gory, disgusting, and disturbing beyond description."

"Ah, it wasn't so bad compared to some of the movies I've seen." Matthew smiled as the credits started to roll across the screen. "We should head back to school, I need my car." Matthew said as he stood, pulling Leane up as well.

Leane rolled her eyes playfully as she picked up her purse and garbage, throwing it away on their way out. Linking her fingers through his, Leane rested her head upon his shoulder, "I'd have to watch those movies then! But yes, we'd best get to school, I still need to get my homework."

"Homework." Matthew said, wrinkling his nose. "I think I should get a day off from homework because of my injury. Those stairs are dangerous." Matthew teased as he led Leane back to her car. "Do you think I could sue for that? Can you get free homework passes in a law case?" He asked as they reached the car and he waited for her to unlock his door.

Leane burst out laughing as she unlocked their doors and slid into the driver's seat, "Matt, honestly, you really think they won't check your ER statement if you were to go to court? I don't think you'd get that far, and then you'd have twice as much homework as payback. I think your best bet is to just get your homework then come over and we'll do it together while watching a movie."

"Unless you want to get home, I mean, which is understandable seeing as how your parents have yet to see you and they're probably worried sick after the phone call from the nurse.. who knows what she told them," she added as she pulled out of the parking lot and headed for school.

"Don't worry about my parents. You may not have noticed anything before but they have. They don't like it but their hands are tied. They complain to the parents and I get it worse so its better if they just nurse me back to health as best they can." Matthew said. "Besides, homework suddenly sounds alot more fun with you there." He laughed.

Leane sighed as she turned down the street that led to the school, "I'm sorry I never noticed before... But I'm glad you aren't completely angry with me and still wish to spend time with me," she added with a smile as she glanced over at him quickly before turning into the school parking lot just as everyone began piling out of the school.

Pulling up next to Matt's car, Leane turned off the engine and took off her seat belt. Leaning over the center of the seat, Leane cupped Matt's cheek with her palm before placing a tender kiss upon his lips, "See you at home?"

"I'll see you there." Matthew whispered against her lips as he undid his seat belt. Giving Leane one last kiss, Matthew hopped out of her car and into his own. Turning on the engine, which let out a loud roar, Matthew gave Leane a wink before driving out of the lot and towards her house.

Leane laughed as she got out of her car, locked the doors, and headed towards the school.

Reaching her locker, Joanna and Jenny shyly walked up to Leane. Leane rolled her eyes and opened her locker, "What, you guys talking to me now?"

"Lee.. we're sorry.. We didn't mean to seem like we were ignoring you.. We weren't really... We were trying to make things easier for you and Matt to have some alone time," began Joanna.

"We just wanted to make sure you guys had some time together without the jerks being cruel.. We figured if we flirted with them enough, they'd back off you and Matt.. We're sorry we didn't tell you.." finished Jenny as she wrapped her arms around Leane's waist.

Sighing, Leane hugged Jenny, "It's alright.. I'm not angry.. Thank you.. both of you.. for thinking of me like that. I truly do appreciate it."

"How can we make it up to you?" asked Joanna as she joined the hug.

"We'll do anything!" piped in Jenny.

Leane laughed, "Mani-Pedis this weekend while having a movie fest?"

"OF COURSE!" replied Joanna and Jenny with laughs and another hug.

"Alright, you two'd better get going before your parents yell at you for being late, alright?"

The girls nodded and said their goodbyes as Leane finished getting her homework. Heading back out to her car, Leane unlocked the doors and hopped into the driver's seat. Starting the engine, Leane smiled as she headed for home.

Matthew pulled into Leane's driveway and turned off the horrible roaring of his car's engine. I should get this to a garage soon... He pondered as he got out of the car. Leaning up against the driver's door, Matthew waited patiently for Leane to arrive.

Starting up her drive, Leane pressed the button to open the garage. When she reached it, she drove in and shut off he engine. Gathering her things, Leane got out of the car and pressed the button to close the garage once more.

Slipping under the door before it shut, Leane set her stuff down on the porch and jogged over to Matt. Slipping her arms around his neck, Leane gently leaned against him and placed a tender kiss upon his lips. "Sorry I made you wait.. Jo and Jenny stopped me at my locker," she whispered against his lips.

"And let me guess, you guys are good again?" Matthew guessed as he gave her another kiss. "I told you everything would be fine." He said, wrapping his arms around her waist.

Leane rolled her eyes playfully as she placed a tender kiss upon his lips, "Yes, we are, but not for reasons you think. They weren't meaning to avoid me, they were simply trying to make it so we had some time together at school. The poor girls.. they spent their free time flirting with the jocks to keep their focus off of us. I think we owe them, don't you? Sacrificing themselves as they did," she added with a laugh as she placed a tender kiss upon his lips.

"I told you they weren't upset with you." Matthew laughed as he left kisses along the side of her neck. "You worry too much." He smiled as he carressed the soft skin at the base of her neck with his lips. "You're going to have health problems from all this stress." He murmured softly. "Maybe you should find a way to relax." He suggested as his teeth nibbled gently at her soft skin.

Leane grinned as she leaned into him, one of her hands slipping into his hair as she whispered softly into his ear, "I thought of a way, but you don't like my idea. Though I can't complain too much, this second option comes pretty close," she teased as she lightly nibbled on his ear lobe before leaving a trail of kisses down, across, and up his neck, across his jaw, and to his lips where she slipped her tongue lightly between his lips.

Matthew held Leane closer as his tongue explored her mouth, his arms pressing her body against his. "Maybe we shouldn't do this outside. Your neighbors might not appreciate it." Matthew teased as he broke their kiss and pulled an arm around her waist as he led her to the door.

Leane laughed as she picked up her things on the way across the porch, "Perhaps, but they always need something new to talk about, right?"

Turning the key in the lock, Leane led Matt inside, ignoring the odd look Carson gave them as they walked through the house to the living room. Setting her things down on the table in front of the couch, Leane headed for the fridge, "Want anything while I'm in here?" she called over to Matt as she grabbed a Snapple Tea for herself.
