"Josh taught me a bit, our cook Eugile taught me the most though. I used to help her when I was young, mainly as a form of entertainment. I didn't have a governess, so Eugile took it upon herself to look after me. And what better way than to put me to use helping her in the kitchen as best I could?" she explained with a laugh as she finished chopping the cloves of garlic and began chopping the onion, "What about you? I half expected you to be bleeding by now. Do you help your mom cook?"

"I dont really cook. My mom does all the cooking but if she's making something like meatloaf or paella, something with alot of ingredients, she has me help cut and prepare everything." Matthew explained as he moved onto his second pepper. "I'm not as skilled with the actual cooking part though." He laughed.

Leane made a face at the mention of meatloaf, "Bleck! Meatloaf... One of the most disgusting foods on this planet. I've never heard of paella though, what's that?"

"Paella's a Spanish dish. It has seafood and rice and vegetables." Matthew explained. "I love it. Its a huge hit in our family. It has a lot of rich tastes and mom goes nuts for it. We tried it once at a Mexican restaurant and she got hooked on it. I'll have to have you try it when you meet my parents." Matthew said as he started chopping the onion.

Finishing her onion, Leane blushed as she went to the cupboard and took out a pot to boil the chicken in. Filling it with water and bringing it to the stove, Leane began slicing the carrots, "Y-you.. you want me to meet them? But.. what if they don't like me? I.. I guess the best way to make them like me is to learn how to make paella, huh," she added with a soft chuckle.

"Of course my parents will like you." Matthew assure her as his eyes started to water from the onion fumes. "Where do you think I got my good taste from?" He laughed as he finished chopping. "What else do you need done?" He asked as he washed his hands and wiped the tears from his eyes.

Leane smiled as she looked over at Matt while cutting up the green onions, "I really hope they like me.. it won't do to have both sets of parents disapproving of us," she added with a soft chuckle. "Here, finish cutting up these onions, I'll get to work on the dough for the cinnamon buns. Then you can make those while I make the rolls," she added as she set down her knife, went to the sink, and washed her hands. She then went about measuring and mixing ingredients into a large bowl.

"Great." Matthew laughed. "More crying." He teased as he cut the skin off the onion. "It could be romantic if both sets of parents disapprove." Matthew teased lightly as he chopped, tears forming in his eyes. "We could be like Romeo and Juliet." He offered as a few tears slipped down his cheeks.

Leane smiled as she leaned over and kissed a tear away as she teased, "It'd be a perfect fairy tale, as long as we didn't end up killing ourselves in the end and instead lived happily ever after with a chance to get married and have children."

Rolling the dough in flour, Leane got out the rolling pin and in turn rolled that in flour before rolling out the dough on the counter. Wiping her hands off on a towel, Leane got down a small bowl and a sharp knife. Setting the knife on the counter, Leane began mixing cinnamon and sugar in the bowl, "Would you like these very cinnamony or a bit more sweet?"

"Cinnamony." Matthew laughed. "But I thought I was the one who didn't do their homework." He teased. "Making up words today?" He asked as he finished chopping the onion. "you know." He said coyly, coming behind Leane and wrapping his arms around he waist. "You're pretty cute when you're covered in flour." He teased, giving her neck a quick kiss.

"Maybe I should cook for you more often then!" Leane laughed as she slightly leaned back against him, "Besides wouldn't say I was making up words.. No.. I'd say it was more like improving the language."

Adding a bit more cinnamon to the mixture, Leane placed the bowl on the counter before turning around and wrapping her arms around Matt's neck, "Sprinkle an even layer of the mixtrue over the dough then roll it up, patting the ends flat. Then use he knife to cut it into 12 equal pieces. I'll get a pan ready to put them on," she added as she leaned into him and placed a tender kiss upon his lips.

"Yes, ma'am." Matthew winked, giving her a tender kiss before turning to the dough. Doing as he was instructed, Matthew layered the mixture and rolled the dough carefully. Taking the large knife, Matthew cut the rolls and waited for Leane with the pan.

Taking the cover off the butter on the counter, Leane cut of a large chunk of butter and placed it into her hand. Taking out a cookie sheet from the cupboard, Leane buttered the entire pan and handed it to Matt, "Put the oven on 350. That way we can put the rolls in the oven with them."

Washing her hands, Leane began mixing ingredients into another bowl to make the rolls for dinner.

Matthew placed the oven on 350 and laid the cinnamon buns along the pan before putting it into the oven. "What else do you need, love?" Matthew asked as he wrapped his arms around Leane's waist and rested his chin on her shoulder.

"Check the water and see if it's boiling? If it is, put two pieces of the boneless chicken into it to boil for me?" she said softly as she placed a tender kiss upon his cheek.

Wiping her hands, Leane turned around and placed a long, tender kiss upon his lips before going to the cupboard and taking out two muffin tins and beginning to butter them.

Matthew smiled as he walked over to the pot and peeked at the water inside which was at a rolling boil. Matthew slipped two pieces of chicken from the fridge and into the boiling water. "What else, love?" Matthew asked as he leaned against the counter beside the stove after replacing the remaining chicken into the fridge.

Filling the last pan with dough, Leane took a knife and began pressing flower and leaf designs into the top of each roll before placing the finished pans into the oven, "Hmm.. get the broccoli out of the fridge and the corn out of the freezer? We can boil the corn while the broccoli steams."

"Alright." Matthew said as he retrieved the broccoli and corn and brought them back to the counter. Getting out a pot from where he'd seen Leane getting one for the chicken, Matthew put water on to boil while getting a small pan for the broccoli. "Where's your steamer?" He asked.

"Ummm.." Leane pondered as she put butter on the top of the rolls and placed them in the oven, "Third drawer on the left of the stove maybe?"

Walking over to the sink and washing her hands, Leane blushed, "I honestly have no idea where it is.. Josh always uses that thing, so I've never paid much attention as to where he puts it."

Getting out the ingredients to make frosting, Leane inquired, "More sweet or more vanilla-y?"

"More words to 'improve the language'." Matthew laughed as he got out the steamer and set it into the pan, fanning it out. Filling the pan with water underneath the steamer. Placing broccoli in the steamer and placed a cover on top. Turning on the stove, Matthew turned back to Leane. "Vanilla-y." He smiled.

Leane rolled her eyes playfully as she added a tad more vanilla to the frosting. Sticking her finger into it, Leane tasted a small bit of it off her finger, "Hmm.. I think it's alright, what about you?" she asked as she handed the bowl to him and prepared to wipe off her finger with the towel.

Matthew took a step closer to Leane, ignoring the bowl in his hands. Putting an arm around her waist, Matthew gave her a gentle kiss. Parting her lips with his tongue, Matthew tasted the sweet frosting in her mouth before breaking the kiss. "Perfect." He smiled, handing her the bowl and placing the corn in the now boiling water.

Leane blushed as she wiped her finger with the towel after placing the bowl on the counter and covering it with a paper towel. Looking over at Matt, Leane couldn't help but smile as she teased, "Well, it looks like I'm good at making sweets, huh. How's the chicken coming?"

Matthew peered into the boiling water where the chicken was. "It looks done to me." He shrugged. "Its been boiling for a while. Do you have a plate that you want me to put this on or just put it on the cutting board?" He asked, setting the lid in the sink.

"Cutting board is fine. We need to slice them into small strips. You take cut one and I'll cut the other?" Leane suggested as she took the pot to garbage and scooped out the residue on the top before taking it to the sink and pouring out the access water to get to the chicken breasts. Placing one on each of the cutting boards, Leane took up a knife and began cutting it. "After, we can get the stir fry together, which should be done by the time the rolls are finished."
