"Now you know I'm not going to leave you when you talk like that." Matthew smiled as he put his arms around Leane's waist. "Gena gets upset because you're so new. We've all been friends since were in diapers. She's just not as good at adjusting as the rest of us are." Matthew smiled as he turned Leane to face him.

Gena didn't think about what she did next, forgetting all of her insecurities and wondering if Jack would turn her away. Gena shifted to look Jack in his eyes before standing on her toes to give him a long kiss, her grip tightening around him.

Jack responded to her kisses eagerly, almost lifting Gena off the ground as his grip tightend as he was enthused by the kiss.

After a few moments passed, the couple simply looked at each other, both grinning wildly. Neither talked, they only looked at each other's eyes before resuming their kissing as they chose to foget about school and the previous fight.

Offering him a small smile, Leane sighed, "Don't worry about me, I'll be alright.. You'd better get to the nurse and make sure you're not worse. Promise me you'll go?" she whispered against his lips as she placed a tender kiss upon them.

"Yes, mother." Matthew teased, giving her forehead a kiss before heading off for the nurses, afraid to get Leane upset with him.

Sighing, Leane headed to Chemistry and slumped into her seat next to Ben. After getting a lecture from the teacher about being late, but not getting into too much trouble, Leane sighed as she looked over at Ben and offered a small smile as she whispered, "Are you okay?"

"I'm fine." Ben smiled, his face blushing as he looked at his hands. "As long as Jenny doesn't break up with me." He added quietly, putting his face in his hands and taking a deep breath before looking back at Leane. "Maybe I'm a curse. I'm always screwing up somehow." He sighed.

Ignoring the teacher since class was almost over anyway, Leane took Ben's hand in hers and smiled at him, "Nonsense. Jenny won't breakup with you over a little fight. Just make sure you tell her and don't try to hide it from her, okay? I know you guys will be just fine," she added with a gentle squeeze of his hand.

"Thanks." Ben smiled shyly. "I just hate that I keep messing up relationships." He shurgged before looking up at the clock just as the bell rang. "Bye, Lee." He smiled sadly before walking out of the room and hurrying over towards the hallway where the music room was.

Ben watched as students began to pour into the hallway, hating that he'd have to explain his black eye to Jenny. Please don't dump me... He thought to himself as he searched for Jenny in the crowd of students.

Sighing, Leane packed up her things and headed towards her locker to pack up and go grab something to eat at the diner Matt showed her before gymnastics.

Jenny, upon seeing Ben outside the music room, lit up as she ran over to him and through her arms around his neck. "You're not angry with me!" she exclaimed as she placed a tender kiss upon his lips.

Smiling up at him, she noticed his black eye and her eyes grew wide as she stepped back, "Or maybe you are and I've completely made a fool of myself.. Did John do this?" she whispered as her eyes glistened with tears, "He did.. didn't he.. I'm so sorry Ben.. I don't blame you for wanting to break up with me.. I'd break up with me too if I were the cause of another beating.."

"I hit him first." Ben said quietly looking down at his hands. "He called you a whore and I just-I just didn't think. I didn't mean to start something but I just threw a punch and there was a big fight." Ben admitted shyly, looking up at Jenny with his heart pounding. "I'm sorry. I know I should've thought about it but I really like you, Jenny. I didn't mean to upset you." He said shyly.

Wrapping her arms around his waist, Jenny sighed a sigh of relief as she smiled up at him, "Stop talking nonsense. You just told me you stood up to the biggest jerk next to Kurt.. for me.. You don't know how much that means to me to know that you don't want to break up with me and that you stood up for me.."

Taking out her calculus book, history, and english books, Leane put them in her back before searching her purse for her keys. Finding them, she took her purse and shut her locker before walking over to Matt's and waiting for him.

"You think I'd want to break up with you?" Ben laughed nervously as he put his arms around Jenny. "But I just got you. What makes you think that I'd give you up so quickly?" He smiled as he gave her forehead a kiss.

Matthew made his way to his locker where he found Leane. "Hey." He smiled as he walked over to her and gave her a tender kiss. "I think the nurse is starting to get suspicious of my falling down the stairs stories. I don't know why'd she doubt me." Matthew laughed.

Jenny blushed, "I-I thought.. because of John and what he did.. not to mention said... I.. I thought.. I thought you'd want to break up with me and didn't want to chance anything or end up like Matt.."

Leane rolled her eyes playfully as she wrapped her arms around his neck and pulled him in for a long kiss. "Mm, perhaps because stairs don't leave bruises and black eyes?" she teased with a light kiss. "I'm heading over to the diner you showed me for a burger and fries. Want me to bring you back anything?"

"It wouldn't be the first time we got roughed up by some airhead jocks. At least I have something worth fighting for." Ben smiled.

"No thanks, love." Matthew siad before giving her another kiss. Moving to his locker, Matthew put away his books as Gena and Jack approached them, hand in hand. "Go Jack." Matt laughed as they stopped at the couple, earning an eye roll from Gena.

"Gena has something she wants to say." Jack coaxed.

Gena sighed as she looked at Leane. "I'm sorry I got angry earlier. I should'nt have said those things to you." She said. "Matt has every right to date you and I should be supportive, as his friend."

Jenny blushed, "Y-you really don't though... I'm a stereotypical cheerleader, what's so special about that?"

Leane rolled her eyes, "Yeah, right. Just drop it, okay? I don't need your fake apologies. Congratulations though Jack," she added with a smile up at Jack.

Giving Matt one last kiss, she whispered, "Want to come with me?"

"Well you're incredibly beautiful." Ben smiled. "And you're willing to look past the fact that nearly everyone in this schools outcasts me. Plus you're not put off by the black eye. Not too much at least." He laughed quietly.

"I told you this was pointless." Gena frowned at Jack.

"Gena." Jack and Matt said warningly.

"Its not my fault if she isn't willing to at least try and get along for your sake." Gena shrugged, biting on her tongue to keep herself from letting her mouth get her into trouble again.

"Alright, we're leaving." Jack sighed as he led Gena to the parking lot.

"You can't at least be civil?" Matthew sighed as he turned back to Leane.

Jenny blushed as a small smile crept into her lips, "I'm not put off at all.. But what about your friends? I don't think anyone but Matt will be happy about us together.."

Putting her hand on her hims, her mouth turned down into a frown, "Civil? To her? I was civil. Unlike you, I'm not going to forgive her outbursts at the drop of a hat! Just forget it, I'll see you later," she finished as she turned on her heel and headed for the doors to leave school.

"There's no reason for them to be upset." Ben smiled. "I think Leane, Joanna, Matt, Jack, and Gena will all be perfectly fine with us being together." Ben assured her. "I thinks its just that pesky football team we have to worry about." Ben joked.

Matthew sighed as he leaned back against his locker. Girls were so confusing. Why did they have to hold grudges for so long?

"Lee!" He called after her, running to stand in front of her. "I'm not expecting you to just forgive her all of the sudden. But is there any possibility that you can leanr to forgive her at some point. I'd hate for the two most important girls in my life to be at each other's necks." Matthew sighed.

Jenny laughed softly, "Well, I know Jo and Lee will be happy, they've known about my crush for awhile. It's just Gena I'm mainly worried about.. You've seen how she treats Leane.. I don't want her to turn on me as well... It'll set Leane over the top.."

"When she stops lying through her teeth and means her apologies, then maybe. Look Matt, I don't want to fight with you.. can we please just agree to disagree over Gena? Please?" she added as she slipped past him and walked quickly to her car. Putting her bags in the trunk, Leane headed back to her door and unlocked it. Slipping into the driver's seat, Leane sighed and put the key into the ignition.

"Gena's fine." Ben sighed. "She's just not used to Leane and you guys hanging out with us. Its always just been the four of us. She'll adjust." He assured her, placing a kiss on her nose. "No need to worry."

Matthew sighed as he walked back to his locker, giving it a solid punch as he walked over before opening it and taking out his keys. Walking towards the parking lot, Matthew caught a glimpse of Ben and Jenny out of the corner of his eye. "You guys need a ride?" He called to the couple.

Jenny shook her head, "Nah, I'd better get to class. As should you, how come you're skipping?"

Sighing, Leane pulled out of the parking lot and headed towards the diner. Locking her doors on the way out, Leane headed into the diner and sat at the counter.

"What'll it be toots?" asked the waitress as she snapped her gum.

"Cheeseburger Deluxe, minus the tomato and with extra pickle, with a large order of fries. Sprite to drink, please," added Leane with a sigh.

"Rough day?"

"You can't even imagine."

"Because my girlfriend hates my best friend and suddenly Physics sounds alot less important." Matthew said before storming off for his own car and taking off for the his house, glad his parents weren't home yet as he stormed into the house.

Blasting his stereo to play a metal band that he'd forgotten the name to, Matthew laid face down in his bed and let the music fill his head.

"Well that sounds like fun." Ben laughed as he turned back to Jenny. "You know, its going to kill Matt if they don't start being nice to each other."

Jenny sighed, "It's going to kill Leane if they keep fighting over Gena.. Speaking of whom," Jenny added with a laugh as she took out her cellphone as it rang to tell her she had a text. Sliding her phone open and reading the text, Jenny sighed as she read it aloud, "Great. Today can't have gotten any worse. It was perfect until the fight, then Gena ruined everything. What is it about me that makes her hate me so much? Now Matt will never forgive me.. Guess I won't be meeting his parents tonight.. Guess Gena's put a pretty big wedge between them.. huh.."

When her food was served, Leane dug in, her mind full of thoughts of Matt and Gena. Putting down her burger and wiping her hands, Leane took out her cellphone again and texted Matt, I'm sorry.. I promise I'll give her a chance..

"Its driving Matt crazy. He's best friends with one and insanely in love with the other." Ben sighed. "I wish they could at least try to get along. If they hadn't gotten off on such a bad foot then I think they would've been friends." He said.

Matthew pulled his phone out of his pocket, the heavy metal still blaring as he read Leane's text. Thank you :) I love you... Matthew texted back immediately, his mood shifting.

"I'll talk to her at Gymnastics tonight. I'll try and get her to give Gena a chance," promised Jenny with a smile as she linked her fingers through his.

I love you too <3 Meet me at the diner? Leane texted back, a smile clear on her face as she ate a couple of fries.

"I think it'll work out. Neither of them could live without Matt and they're going to realize at some point that he needs both of them." Ben shrugged as he held both of her hands in his. "Am I going to get you in trouble for skipping?" Ben pondered. "I mean, we have been standing out in the hallway instead of learning and all that important stuff."

Matthew replied a quick Be right there to Leane before hopping off his bed and shutting off the stereo, relieved by the silence. Grabbing his keys, Matthew drove quickly to the small diner where he saw Leane sitting not far away.

Breaking into a large grin, Matthew walked over to Leane and kissed her head tenderly. "Hello, love." He smiled.
