Tears fell from her eyes as she thought more and more about it, her worries and fears taking over her as she held Matt closer to her. "I could never ask you to do that Matt.. It's not fair to you.. It was my mistake that put us into this predicament.. I'm not going to ask you to sacrifice your entire future just because I'm pregnant.."

Leane hated herself at the moment:

One reason being how careless she had been in not checking the box before she completely lost her thought process to his kisses and touch.

A second reason being how selfish she truly was; for despite there being a danger in her being pregnant, a small part of her was kind of hoping she was. Not because she wanted to trap Matt, for that was never to intention nor her goal. She just.. Well, Leane was a girl who always loved children and dreamed of having a somewhat large family of her own some day. To have her dream come true, and to have the father be the man she truly adored with all of her body and soul, deep down Leane was happy.

A third reason being, that she was afraid Matt would think she wanted to trap him into staying with her forever. She didn't want him to think that, because although she would in fact keep the baby if she were pregnant, she didn't want Matt to stay just because of the baby. She could get on without him, if she truly had to. It would be hard, but if it made Matt happy, than she would do so.

A fourth reason being that she was afraid all of Matt's hopes and dreams would come spiraling down because of how careless she had been. For in truth, she blamed the entire situation upon herself. Would his family forgive her? Would her family forgive her? Most importantly, would Matt forgive her for being pregnant?

For these reasons and more, Leane hated herself at the moment and wished she could crawl into a corner and remain for the couple of weeks until she knew the final verdict.

"Leane." Matthew whispered softly as he wrapped his arms tighter around her and cradled her to his chest. "I'm not going to leave you. I love you, Leane. And this isn't your fault. I should've stopped us before things went to far but I didn't. I love you and I'm going to take care of us. I'm not going to abandon you or our child." Matthew promised before lifting her chin and wiping away her tears. "I'm sorry, Leane." He said softly as he rested his forehead against Leane's. His insides twisted with fear that Leane was going to start hitting him, and begin to hate him for what had just happened. He'd only wanted to be with her and he wasn't sure if he could blame her should she leave him.

Closing her eyes, Leane let her body fall limp against him as she buried her face in his neck, tears still streaming from her eyes, "I love you Matt, so so much.. Nothing will change that.. I'm scared Matt.. I don't know how I'm going to get through the next few weeks until I can get to a doctor," Leane whispered against his skin, her body slightly shaking as all of her fears started to overcome her calm reserve and take over.

"Its alright, Lee." Matthew said as he pressed worried kisses in her hair. "It'll only be a little over a week before we can get a test. Everything will be fine, love. We might just be worried over nothing." He encouraged between the kisses in her hair before lifting her chin and wiping away her tears.

"How am I to get through my birthday not knowing? It's the sixth Matt, and we won't know until the fifteenth.. My Birthday Gala is the thirteenth.. What am I to do? How can I face my parents without knowing for sure? Will you come to my Gala with me so I don't have to face them alone?" Leane pleaded softly. She needed him with her if she were to get through it; to support her and keep her mind off of the possible pregnancy for a little while.

"I'll make a doctors appointment for the afternoon of the seventeenth, which is a Wednesday, as well as the afternoon of the twentieth, which is a Saturday, in case the first one shows negative or is too soon to tell. Will you come with me?" Leane asked as she looked down into his eyes, "I'm really sorry about all this Matt.."

"Lee, don't apologize." Matthew smiled warmly as he cupped her chin and gave her lips a soft kiss. "This is just as much my fault as it is your's. I'll be with you so don't worry. I'm sure everything will work out. We'll make it work." He assured her as he twirled a section of her hair in his fingers.

"What if I am pregnant? What if everything isn't alright and our parents hate us for what has happened?" Leane whispered as tears continued to fall from her eyes, "Will you hate me? Will you be angry? Will you even want either of us?"

"Leane." Matthew said, struggling to keep the anger out of his voice at her suggestion. "I would never hate you." He promised, finding it hard to resist raising his voice as his cheeks turned a bright red from anger. "How could you ever think that I wouldn't you or our child? I'm in love with you and if you are pregnant then we'll work through it together. I'm not saying its going to be easy but please don't think so little of me as to think that I wouldn't want to be with you if you had our child." He said, his voice softening as he wiped the tears from Leane's cheek.

Leane shook her head as she explained softly through her tears, "It's not that I don't think you'll love me or our baby just because I got pregnant due to my carelessness. I'm just afraid you'll hate us if my parents shun us for what's happened and your parents become furious with us as well. Matt, if my mother disowns me, there's nothing my Father can do. He'll help us a little through Josh, but ultimately I'll be cut off from everything I know if they hate me for what's happened and I'll be left to myself to find a place to live, a job, everything.. I can't rely on you to take care of me.. It's not fair to you or your parents... And what if your parents feel the same way my parents feel? Then what shall we do.. Matt, I don't want you to get kicked out of your home for what's happened.. I couldn't bare the thought of you losing them because of me.."

"Lee." Matthew soothed, his anger dissolving as he cradled Leane to his chest. "My parents won't hate us. I'm sorry, Leane, I'm so sorry." He sighed into her hair. "I wish I could change things, Lee. I hate myself for making you go through this." He admitted, his own worry beginning to leak into his voice. Taking a deep breath of Leane's shampoo, Matthew reminded himself that he needed to be strong for Leane and not falling apart. "You're not going to lose me, Lee." Matthew said softly as he kissed her cheek gently. "And I will take care of you if you're pregnant. I love you." He whispered against her cheek.

"I love you too," Leane whispered as she hugged him close, "so very very much, no matter what happens," she promised as she placed a number of kisses upon his lips. Gently caressing his cheek, Leane looked down at him with a blush upon her cheeks, her eyes puffy and red from crying so much, "Promise you won't be furious if I tell you something you may not wish to hear?"

"I promise." Matthew smiled warmly as he kissed her nose gently, curiousity oozing out of him.

"A small part of me hopes I am pregnant.. Not to trap you; please don't think that. I just.. I've always wanted a baby.. I know, I know, starting a family should wait until I'm older. But.. if I have this chance, I can't stay I'm angry about it. I'll be more thrilled, despite what everyone around us thinks or says, if I am able to have your baby," admitted Leane with a blush, "I'm sorry.. I probably shouldn't have said all that.. I just.. I wanted you to know how I felt before going into all of this.. And please, please know I'm not going to ask you to give everything up. No matter what happens to me, even if I am pregnant, when we graduate, I want you to go to college and pursue your dreams.. I don't want to keep you from that," Leane added softly between kisses.

"Leane." Matthew sighed as he returned her kisses with gentle ones of his own. "I've told you that I love you forever. That includes having children. I'm hoping that its not for a while but I'll still love our children no matter when we have them. I see a future with you, Leane and I hope that someday we will have children." Matthew assured her. "Just now isn't the best time for us." He said between kisses.

"I know it's not opportune timing, and I'm really really sorry," Leane said with a blush as she slid to the edge of the bed to pick up her pajamas and slip them back on before cuddling back up to Matt, "I know I shouldn't feel this way.. I know we shouldn't even be thinking about this right now... But now that we may have to face it, I can't come to regret anything, no matter what may happen.. Please, please don't think that if I'm not pregnant, I'm going to try and get pregnant just so I can have a baby.. That's not what I mean to say.. I just.. I don't know.. I guess I.. I guess deep down, I'll never regret it even if I am pregnant and I just wanted you to know that.. Please, forget I said anything, I shouldn't have said it.."

Matthew smiled warmly as he placed a kiss on Leane's forehead before grabbing his sweatpants and pulling them on under the blankets. "I know what you mean, love." He assured her as he put his arms around her waist and rested his chin on her shoulder. "The only regret I would have is making you lose your family. I want you to be happy, Leane. And I hate myself for possibly taking your future away from you." He sighed, his fears resurfacing despite his attempts to push them away.

Leane smiled as she linked her fingers through his and leaned against him, "Matt, don't think like that. I'm not losing my future; I'm simply getting my future sooner than expected if I am in fact pregnant. As for my family, I will still have Josh and my Father. I know my brother, he'd never abandon me no matter what my mother says. My father.. well, I know he won't completely abandon me, but his help will be limited to what he can do through my brother.. It'll be hard, but I'll manage," Leane said softly as she gave his hand a gentle, reassuring squeeze, "As long as you're with me through it all, I'll be alright."

"Of course I'll be here." Matthew assured her as his own stomach twisted in knots of guilt. He hated that he'd let things go too far without protection and that Leane's future was on the line because of him. "What would you like to do today?" Matthew asked as he kissed Leane's shoulder gently.

Leane smiled as she turned to face him and place long, tender kisses upon his lips as one hand slid into his hair while the other rested against his bare chest. "How about we make something yummy to eat, then see what's on TV to watch?" Leane suggested between kisses.

"Sounds good, love." Matthew smiled against her lips before bringing them both to stand and leading her into the kitchen. "What would you like?" He asked as he opened a few cupboard doors in search of food.

"Hmm, not sure. What are you craving?" Leane asked as she stood on her toes, wrapped her arms around Matt's waist, and rested her chin upon his shoulder, "Whatever you're craving, I'll make it if you have a recipe," she offered with a smile as she placed tender kisses upon his neck.

"How about some macaroni and cheese?" Matthew offered as he turned to give Leane a long kiss before pulling out a recipe card from his mother's recipe box and a box of pasta.

"Sounds good to me," Leane said with a smile as she too the recipe card and began getting all of the ingredients from the fridge. Once they were out, propped the card up against the back of the counter so they both could look at it while they worked. Looking over at Matt, Leane sighed as she saw the look that kept coming to his face.

Pausing Matt in his work, Leane leaned him back against the counter as she wrapped her arms around his neck and leaned against him, gently caressing his cheek with one hand as she looked up at him, "Matt, don't look so worried and as if i'm going to start lashing out and hating you at any given moment. I love you Matt, and I don't blame you for what might happen, I promise," she assured him with a smile before placing a number of tender kisses upon his lips, "I promise, you can't get rid of me that easily. I'm afraid you're rather stuck with me," she teased between kisses, "I love you."

"I love you too." Matthew promised as he wrapped his arms around Leane's slim waist and returned her kisses. "I'm fine." He lied smoothly. "No worries." He said with a flawless smile before hopping up on the counter and pulling Leane in for another kiss. "What do you need me to do, love?" He asked against her lips.

"Point me in the direction of a pot to boil water in for the macaroni?" Leane said softly as she placed a long, tender kiss upon his lips before eying him, not fully convinced he was fine, "Then while I'm putting the water on to boil, tell me what's really wrong? I'm not blind, Matt, I saw the look you had earlier.. Please tell me?" Leane asked softly, afraid his avoidance meant that he was having second thoughts about what he told her. Pushing those thoughts aside, Leane slipped from his embrace and walked over to a nearby cupboard and pointed to it, "Are they in here?"
