"All right," Crystal said smiling, understanding why he wouldn't want to talk business. She had enough information at the moment and would only pry further if she felt the need to. There were a couple things that she wanted to ask him, but they would wait for later.

"Where do you want to go," she asked in a curious tone.

"Just follow me." he whispered mysteriously. The room he was taking her to was beautiful, peaceful and he loved it. He smiled and gently tugged her along the seemingly endless hallways. The house had a lot of good points. And the closer he got to the room, the more the gothic side of the house was evident. Colums of stone rose from the floor, torches along the walls. There were gargoyles and lions along the ceilings, supported and even molded into the colums. Black marble beneath their feet. It was then that he stopped at a large doorway. And pushed open the door, he tugged Crystal inside then hit the light switch.

The dancefloor and recording room along with the instruments were immediatly illuminated, then the large stage where some equipment was set up stood at the far end. This was where he came to get away. His sanctuary away from the madness of his hectic life.

Crystal treasured the mystery of the moment as she followed him. She was observing the hallways as much as you can. When they got further into she became more fascinated my the structure as she was pulled along. She tried to focus on watching where she was stepping but was too distracted. She stumbled occasionally but managed to keep up with him. When they entered the room with the large doorway she exepcting some kind of torture chamber or dungeon. She sighed audibly when it was a stage with equipment was set up.

She understood why her parents wanted her to get his company now. She was well off but this side of the house was what really showed the wealth in his family. She gawked back at way they'd come from and tried to clear her thoughts for a moment. How would she be able to deceive him, he'd probably had all the training in detecting deception that he needed. "What is this room," she asked in a sly tone.

Derain turned back and smiled at her. "It's a room I relax in. I bet you have a beautiful singing voice." He grinned and winked at her. He just wanted to hear her voice put onto a track. He liked the way she sounded already. And she seemed to need relaxing anyway. Singing could do that.

"Why not sing your favorite song?" he asked softly.

Crystal felt a blush come to her face. She tried to hide it by looking down at the ground. "I couldn't do that," she said quietly. She had classical training in music because it had always been part of what her mother demand just as had been the piano and violin. She hated practicing them but her mother's desire for her to either take over or become a good wife was overwhelming.

Derain smiled and then lifted her face. "I'm sure there's a goddess of music somewhere inside you. Come on sing for me, please?" he said in a very kind voice. She could get wild, she could also get down. She just wasn't used to it, and he wanted her to have fun with him. That's what made him able to live everyday, the fun of it all.

Crystal sighed slightly as she tried to think of reasons not to sing for Derain. "Fine," she said. "I don't have any music memorized." That was a lie though. There were quite a few songs that she'd had to perform previously that year for the music lessons that she was still receiving. She didn't want to sing classical music for him though because he probably wouldn't like it.

Derain smiled broadly as though he'd been given a gift he'd wanted forever on his 5th birthday. He lifted her up to the stage and went into the studio, where he could mess around with the sound a bit. No one but these two would ever hear this. This room was completely sound proof and unless you were Derain you couldn't get in. And no one would ever have a copy of her sweet voice. Anything she sang would be fine. "Sing anything you want." His voice came through.

Crystal felt herself blush against as she was lifted onto the stage. She could smell his cologne and it made her want to pass out. She looked at the piano for a moment and then played a note. She tried not to think too hard about what she was doing. When she started singing her voice was shaky from nerves. After a while she grew used to the idea. It was a french song singing about all the things someone loved about their lover. When she finished she wasn't sure what to do. There was a delicacy to her voice that hinted to the classical training but a little less powerful than some of the other people she'd heard sing. She was usually shy and that feature came out in her voice.

Derain started clappinng ahnd whooping. "That was awesome! You have a lovely voice. I'd love to hear you sing for me again sometime." He walked out of the room and then gently lifted her from the stage and hopped up himself. He closed his eyes and envisioned her with a loving smile and wide outstreched arms waiting for him. His voice was low and smoky as he sang of his lover waiting for him to find her. His body moving and swaying in time as he belted out line after line. When finally he stopped he smiled down at Crystal.

Crystal wasn't sure what to do so she stayed where she was and watched him. When he stopped and looked down at her she blushed. She looked away then not wanting to reveal how much she liked the song. "You have a nice voice," she said still unable to look him in the face.

"It's something I like to do... but you have a nice voice too." Derain smiled as he hopped down from the stage and then ushered her from the room, clicking off the lights, he turned the corner with her in hand before opening another door. This room was just as amazing, if not for the size, and amount of furniture, but for the game systems and games and movies contained in the room.

"Watch something with me, before you leave...?"

"Okay," she said with a slightly bashful smile. She couldn't help but think he'd been hinting at liking her during the song and it had sent butterflies into her stomach. "What do you want me to watch?" She wasn't sure what he would be interested nor was sure sure what to do with all the games and movies in the room.

"I don't mind anything you want to watch, I just wanna hang out with you." Derain smiled at her as he plopped on the couch, watching her with a small smile playing across his lips. She was free to do just about anything here and he intened to let her keep doing just that. He didn't wanna push her to do anything, just wait for her to decide what to do.

She was almost have distracted by the need to do homework at the moment. She looked at the dvds though in bewilderment, not sure what to pick. There were many that she hadn't seen, but then again she'd never really been into movies all that much. "Well," she said as she picked out a dvd. "What about this one... it's called Texas Chainsaw Massacre. It seems interesting enough..." She wasn't even sure what it was about.

"I think we'll leave the lights on and stuff... it's pretty gorey and scary from what I hear." Derain said with a touch of concern in his voice not knowing if she was okay with scary movies. He didn't mind them but he didn't like them either. He'd seen Chucky as a child and had though the doll was real.

But as he shook off that memory, he managed to use the remote to pop open the disk tray as he rose and toke the dvd out and put it in. Really how scary could it be? "Do you want the lights on or off?"

"I'll have the lights on then," she said quietly, almost as if she were embrassed to pick out a scary film. She wanted to see it because her friends at her last school had raved about how great it was. She sat down on the couch then, pulling her legs under her so she was sitting on them.

He just smiled at her as he pressed play. Streching out he laid his feet up over the top of the couch and smiled as he heard the theme music playing and ominous tune. It was funny actually how they did up all movies like that. Made them into their own franchise.

(I have never seen Texas Chainsaw Massacre, have you?)

Crystal wasn't quite sure if she would like the film since she already felt tense with the theme music playing. She glanced over at him to see that he was smiling and she forced herself to smile. She'd never spent this much time with someone and it was beginning to feel slightly awkward. She looked at the ground, wanting to be brave by watching a scary movie. Her friends (the few that she had) from the last school had told her not see it.

(Sorry... for some reason my comp wouldn't load the link... I got it to load last night though, but I conked out before writing anything...)

Derain moved closer to Crystal and whispered to her, "I'm scared, are you?" he wasn't really scared, he just didn't like scary movies, not like he was gonna cry or scream or anything. But he hated things or people sneaking up on him. He couldn't stand it. Even if he was a pretty cool dude, he knew he lost points for his wimpyness. It was so wrong to be scared of scary movies and you were a dude. Shaking his head he looked at Crystal and noticed she was tensed, and looked almost like a poised Porcelian Doll...

"No,"Crystal lied with a sheepish smile. "There's nothing to be scared of." She jumped slightly almost right after that, but tried to hide it with a laugh. She wasn't sure what he thought of her at times but being this close to him gave her goosebumps. It was the kind you get when you're scare or cold though, she was just happy for the most part. It was easy to be next to him.

Derain smiled wickedly then suddenly grasped her shoulder with the other hand, lightly so not to hurt her... but wanting to see her reaction.
