Even after reading all the introductory threads, I'm a bit confused as to the nature of the quest forum: Is it just a way to make a personal contact thread that additionally relates to the items you want to acquire?

Seems overly dramatized if it's really that simple.

I'm Darkeyes, I currently am recovering from a concussion, and, like ChickBow Vow, I too want a pretty dress.
I also totally fail at spontaneous exposition of my personality and interests, so by all means, prompt me.


Update: The Quest portion of this..quest.. is currently offline, due to not having the free time to pursue it. Feel free to stop in and chat, however!

That which is sought:
-Wicked Wizard Pants: These pants are renowned for their mystical properties. Perhaps by gaining them I can restore my magical powers, which abandoned me when I arrived in this dimension. Additionally, it may make social interactions a bit more comfortable. [448]
-Ruby Regis Cloak: This cloak will not only serve to keep me warm at night, but I believe it, like the Wicked Wizard Pants, has mystical properties that I can utilize. It's also a very lovely shade of red, which completely matches my eyes. [600]

That which is earned:
-Gray Long Sleeved Shirt: Day 2, earned from friendly travelers. [196] Slightly uncomfortable, but it keeps me warm.
-Lebye's Red Wash Jeans: Day 2, earned from friendly travelers. [352] Cozy, and now people don't run from me screaming about me being a pervert. ..As much.
-Black Crew Socks: Day 2, earned from friendly travelers. [75] I don't get the feeling these'll last too long, but they're nice while they last.

Questing Memoirs:
-Day 1: This is the day that I set off in search of the Unholy Gr..er, Pail. Though many have fallen in their efforts to acquire this legendary item, I knew that it was my destiny to discover and claim this remarkable item. Since the dimensional shift that led me to this land had taken all my clothing, I had been forced to beg for a pair of simple boxers. Wearing naught but that thin garment, I will move forward in my quest. If I'm lucky, I'll be able to find warmer clothing before winter. Well, enough dalliance- off I go!
-Day 2: As I deliberated my next course of action, I came across a wagon of travelers. They offered me food and clothing in exchange for the story of how I got to be where I was. I kept them entertained for the night, though I only revealed the basics of my past. I'm still not certain who and what I can trust in this world, and it may be for the best that I keep certain things to myself for the time being.
-Day 3: Considering the advice and information I had been given, I decided to take on the easiest path first, and made my way to the southeast, to a mystical Order that was offering mystical rewards in exchange for assistance- with what, I'm not sure. It can't be anything too bad, right?
-Day 4: I'd reached the complex of the Order of Pylathoras, but was accosted as I attempted to enter. Charged to declare my intentions, I mentioned hearing of their desire for assistance. I was then asked to declare what skills I had to aid them with- though I attempted to nudge them into revealing what they were seeking, they were remarkably closed-lipped. Sensing that they were becoming irritated, I decided that the best way to present myself was to be versatile and moderately talented, but without hinting at any true skill. I declared that I had been a cook for a military band, and had picked up some of their combat training on my journeys. The guards stared me down for a moment, then one went in to seek their superiors' instructions. When the guard returned, he handed me a crude spear and informed me that I was to report to the Southern Barracks, pointing out the building.
Once I made it to the barracks I was told the true nature of the assistance the Order was seeking- apparently, some sort of animal-like goos, native to this world, were aggressively swarming, in numbers far greater than the Order was used to. We are to set out tomorrow morning to challenge this menace. What I can do against goos with only a spear and no magics, I wonder.
Perhaps this was a bad idea..

Current Quest Progress:
I had been set by the Order of Pylathoras to face off against some rampaging goos, and so, the morning after meeting with the Order, here I was. The goos were not far away from the Order's complex, and I was surprised to see their colorful forms oozing over the countrysize. Watching them for a moment, I saw that they all had different abilities, based off their colors- some melted what they touched, others lit it on fire. I even saw more exotic abilities, like levitation and explosive projectiles. Truly, I was to face this, in socks and with a spear? Well, it wouldn't be the HARDEST challenge I'd faced.. but really, did that matter right now?
1: Hide back and analyze the situation, looking for weaknesses.
2: Decide that the Order is a bunch of self-centered louts determined to see me killed, and gtfo of there.
3: Try communicating with the goos.
4: Try to find a way to destroy the entire landscape, and be done with it.

Yeah, taking a choose your own adventure angle on it :P
You can list a number with each of your posts. After a short while, I'll tally up the votes, as well as adding a random addition to the votes, to keep the outcome somewhat uncertain. Then, I'll post a new set of 4 options. You're welcome to RP along in your posts at these points, adding some characterization to the options chosen. 1: I have heard rumors of a witch to the north that may have knowledge of the Pail. The road to her is long and treacherous, going over frenzied rivers and rocky hills, through untamed lands.
2: There is apparently a scholar to the west that has knowledge of the magics of this world. If I can reach him, he may be able to assist me in reacquiring my powers. The road to him requires making way through a mountain pass- bandit country.
3: I have heard of a traveling school of wizards that specializes in the crafting of magical apparel- perhaps they will have something useful for me. Their whereabouts are somewhere to the southwest, but where, I am not certain.
4: An order to the southeast offers rewards for assisting them in their tasks- how much help I will be, unclad and without my magics or weapons is beyond me. However, one of their rewards is a mystic cloak, which could be quite beneficial to my quest.
