She got you too, eh? It's ridiculous; We're allowed to multi-post as much as we want at the start of the thread; I was making a new post after careful analyzation and for specific purpose- and having to wait for someone else to post to do it is stupid..

I'm not going to argue with it, but it's an unyielding application of the rules- I'm used to forums where the admins and moderators specifically talked to the people and made small exceptions when it seemed suitable, by earning the members' respects through careful judgement, and being extremely strict when necessary, it worked really well- we had about as many DPs as Mene, and they were all meaningful.

Eh, whatever. It's just especially stupid to be limited in 'my' thread :P And hell, -I- don't care if you multi-post a little; And the extra gold? Are you KIDDING? We can do one line post replies for 6 pages if we wanted that. Like I could care enough..

Current Quest Progress:
The path to the Order was simple- gaining access, not so much. Confronted at the door, I am asked to provide a list of what services I can provide.
1: Admit to the order my combat experience and otherworldly magics, and hope they respect, rather than fear me, for them.
2: Pretend to be less competent than I am, but still be competent enough with weapons to be of assistance- no need to draw attention to myself quite yet.
3: Use my knowledge of the arts of stealth to sneak past the guards and attempt to determine the exact nature of the assistance the Order needs and the nature of the Order itself.
4: Rely on my baking skills and attempt to gain entry with my more mundane talents- since I'm not aware what the order actually needs, it's best to start simple and see if I can't prompt them for more, if needed.

Not her, Captain Howdy, basically just within my first 5 minutes of being on. It really made me upset.

Don't get me started on Howdy~ that's overzealousness condensed. Howdy doesn't do anything -wrong-, but at the same time, she could approach it a lot more diplomatically, graciously, and just..respectfully.

I've heard other people mention how they were turned off by it, and so was I; At that time I hadn't invested into the forums, and I'm a fairly 'drop it and leave' sort until I get invested, so that was almost enough for me.

Also, want to hear something really freaky? Look around at profiles; Howdy's 'touched' over 2/3rds of the ones I've looked at.

I never read the TOS until someone makes me. I keep my tounge bitten with the language I like to use, or the bedroom drama that happens. I'm polite, if not sarcastic, and well hell. If you have a slave collar on your website, thats about a sign that I need to have it and wear it since I am very into that sorta thing in real life. Its just such a pain when you're just getting used to a site and then they tell you "OopS! You're a dumbshit, read the rules, you're getting a warning and having something in your profile saying that your dumb too. lol, have a nice day!"

In case you haven't figured it out, I'm basing this character as a direct translation of my forum personality from my last major forum; As such, there are certain things he specializes in. On our old forum, baking was a major deal, and we made all sorts of magical and, well, magically delicious cakes, pastries, and the like. It was a blast.

So, if my character actually still had his magic powers, he could make magic cakes :P
I could charm the guards and have them kill each other!

..but..uh.. you know, they're probably GOOD, and even if they aren't, let's not get this section of Mene-world up at arms against my character quite yet~

(especially since I don't even have any weapons, or magics, and even though I was an excellent fighter, most of my skills came through magic, or combining magic into my fighting~ I could probably kill the entire order off, with ingenuity, barring them having exceptional talent..or numbers.. but it's not a risk I'd want to take in any case.)
