Nono- not lacking in intelligence- I mean, they're your minions, but they don't KNOW they are ^_^ Tricking people into accomplishing your goals is so..so..delightfully wicked.

And there are a lot of things Mene could add- like kitties. :'(

Siri, don't worry: The power of the siggy is undeniable. You HAD to come.
Now, you've been drawn into my web and soon, very soon you will find yourself thoroughly entangled in my plots..

See..I need a kitty so I can stroke it and laugh evilly while doing so, ala' Inspector Gadget :(

It has it's better days..

...and artists.

But yeah, okay, maybe not the best looking choice- especially since I can't find a single picture where he doesn't look like he's run into a truck a few too many times.

Also? This is just weird.

Nono. Demonic chihuahua, shadow panther, elemental puma, an angelic wolverine, and either of Cthulu or Quetzalcoatl. AND a big dog and cat.

Think ambitiously!

Ek. I was hoping to have at least 3 votes per decision; I'll update this evening in either case.

My thought processes are similar to my sister's. Thusly I vote for number 4, and then offer some other basic skills I can do as number 2 mentioned.

At least the warnings go way after awhile. It would really suck if they didn't, and they just haunted you for the rest of your life.

(I'm feeling dramatic at the moment if you hadn't guessed.)

Quest Choice #2: Final decision: Hybrid 2/4 (all votes): Present self to the Order as versatile but underwhelming.

Quote:
Day 4: I'd reached the complex of the Order of Pylathoras, but was accosted as I attempted to enter. Charged to declare my intentions, I mentioned hearing of their desire for assistance. I was then asked to declare what skills I had to aid them with- though I attempted to nudge them into revealing what they were seeking, they were remarkably closed-lipped. Sensing that they were becoming irritated, I decided that the best way to present myself was to be versatile and moderately talented, but without hinting at any true skill. I declared that I had been a cook for a military band, and had picked up some of their combat training on my journeys. The guards stared me down for a moment, then one went in to seek their superiors' instructions. When the guard returned, he handed me a crude spear and informed me that I was to report to the Southern Barracks, pointing out the building.
Once I made it to the barracks I was told the true nature of the assistance the Order was seeking- apparently, some sort of animal-like goos, native to this world, were aggressively swarming, in numbers far greater than the Order was used to. We are to set out tomorrow morning to challenge this menace. What I can do against goos with only a spear and no magics, I wonder.
Perhaps this was a bad idea..
Quest Path Decision #3:

I had been set by the Order of Pylathoras to face off against some rampaging goos, and so, the morning after meeting with the Order, here I was. The goos were not far away from the Order's complex, and I was surprised to see their colorful forms oozing over the countrysize. Watching them for a moment, I saw that they all had different abilities, based off their colors- some melted what they touched, others lit it on fire. I even saw more exotic abilities, like levitation and explosive projectiles. Truly, I was to face this, in socks and with a spear? Well, it wouldn't be the HARDEST challenge I'd faced.. but really, did that matter right now?
1: Hide back and analyze the situation, looking for weaknesses.
2: Decide that the Order is a bunch of self-centered louts determined to see me killed, and gtfo of there.
3: Try communicating with the goos.
4: Try to find a way to destroy the entire landscape and be done with it.
------------
Sorry that this one is so wordy, I had a lot I wanted to throw into this one, but at the same time I didn't want to have be drug out too much.

I think you should try communicating, choice #3. But be ready to run in case that angers them! Or just hang back a bit. After all, this could be their breeding ground and the order is intruding on them!

I know. But they could have what you're looking for, which is why I didn't suggest just leaving. Oh! Maybe this is a test of your resources. Sneaky, sneaky.

These types of orders aways have at least one big mean jerk face in the commanding ranks. That's why I'll try communicating with the goos cautiously, because they could just be trying to get me killed, or murder harmless blobs. We shall soon see.

(Now we get to see the delightfulness that happens when someone gifts me with something ^_^ While I came up with the following, you can declare your circumstances of appearance as you wish, upon gifting.)
REALITY SHIFT
As I deliberated how to approach the goos, reality bent and warped. I found myself on my knees, blood coming from my nose. As I stood up, I found myself looking into the eyes of a startled native who introduced herself as 'Risque'. As I took in my location, I realized I was now on a hill overlooking the field with the goos and the Order. Taking a moment to catch my bearings, I found myself engaging Rique in conversation. Eventually, I'd imparted on her my reasons for working with the Order to clear out the goos. When I inquired as to the nature of the goos, she revealed that she too knew little of them. However, to my surprise, she gifted me with one of the very cloaks I had been seeking. As I tentatively accepted the rich gift, I felt a tingle of energy spike through me. While it did in fact feel like magic, it felt strange, off. Thanking Risque, I turned my attentions back to the situation in the fields below. Now that I had the very thing I had come to get.. did I even need to remain? If there really was danger to be had to an innocent group, then it would be remiss of me to do nothing, but how was I to learn more of the situation?

1: Attempt to confront the Oozes
2: Attempt to confront the locals
3: Attempt to look for other options
4: Attempt to find the quickest way out of the area
