The Story

They say they live among us, these creatures who appear as human but much different. They say they are there, but unseen. And those few that are known and seen, have denounced the way of their brethren. No one knows why these few are so different then their kind.

No one knows why these creatures exist.

There are six clans that inhabit the city of Saint Haven and the area around it. This city also has plenty of lone and rogue vampires. Saint Haven, since the "infection" of vampires, has been home to fear and panic. Women lock their doors and windows. Children are escorted by slayers to school. But the biggest conflict is not between the humans and vampires, but the clans.

There was originally one clan that these six originated from. The death of the original leader of the one clan was the point at which the new clans formed. The six leaders from each clan, couldn't decide who to put in charge (they were the highest members of the original clan), and as such, separated. At first they were okay, but then they started encroaching on each others' territory. Since then, it's been almost like a war.

While some clans have allied themselves (the Rose and Blackwater Clans; the Nile, Dragon, and Thorn Clans), each still has their own leader and still wants control over the city.

The Rules

One - Please be able to post a minimum of one paragraph per post, and at least two posts for your introduction/Entrance post.

Two - You may have five "main" characters; You may play as many "side" characters as possible. Main characters appear in 90% of your posts, while side characters may only appear for one or two posts periodically.

Three - There are Humans and Vampires. C= Please, at least one human per person.

Four - Not every vampire can turn a human; Only clan leaders or vampires over 600 years can. C= The Vampires in Saint Haven are mostly younger then 500 years, though there are several vampires over 600 years. A vampire MUST use their venom if they are turning someone. No venom = No Turning.

Five - Different Leaders for the clans may have different clan rules. Those who are Clan leaders MUST post their rules with their entrance post. C= -nodnod-

Six - Keep it PG-13. Also, All type of romance (Yaoi, Yuri, and Het) are allowed here.

Seven - You CANNOT Post until your character is accepted. I'm sorry.

About the Vampires

The Vampires of Saint Haven CAN go out in daylight, though most are considerably weaker during the daylight hours. They feed based on their clan's preference (often their preference). Some may have jobs and live amongst humans. Clans have to get money somehow. The Vampires are often SLIGHTLY better looking then humans, though it's hard to tell because it is such a slight difference. Generally, vampires look much like humans. They may be paler if they only come out at night.

The Clans

The Rose Clan - One of the five smaller clans; The Rose clan is ran by a FEMALE; The vampires in this clan tend to be more likely to hunt at dusk or dawn; There are 30 members in this clan

The Blackwater Clan - One of the five smaller clans; It is the largest of the smaller clans, with 50 members; The Blackwater Clan leader is MALE. The vampires in this clan tend to hunt in daylight, using their seduction to lure humans.

The Nile Clan - The smallest of the clans; They have 15 members; They tend to hunt at night. The leader of the clan is MALE.

The Dragon Clan - The second Smallest of the clans; They have 20 members, all of whom hunt in the evening or in the early morning. The Dragon clan Leader is FEMALE.

The Thorn Clan - The Thorn clan has 30 members, tied with the Rose Clan. All the members of the Thorn clan hunt between the hours of 10 and 2, both during the day and night. The leader is FEMALE

The Moon Clan - The Original clan, which used to possess all the clans and members; The Leader, Micca, took over after the original leader was killed. The Moon Clan, despite their name, hunt at any time of the day. This is the largest clan, with 150 members.

There are various vampires who do not belong to a clan or who are rogues from a clan.

In total there are about 300 vampires in Saint Haven.

Summary of History Micca was turned at the age of fifteen. He wasn't supposed to have been turned, as is shown by the scars on his neck where the venom was distributed right before he died. Micca was very persistent in his attempts to gain respect in the clan, and often would fight for a position. His position as a member right underneath the clan leader was a long time in coming.

When the original leader died, and the clan split, Micca put himself in charge, without so much as a thought. Though he tends to be very strict, he seems to only want the best for his clan.

Summary of History Keeran was born a vampire, to vampiric parents Yuta and Entity Yurisaki. Keeran is a rather unique individual, when thinking of his birth - which was a miracle (due to his mother). Keeran was the star basketball player on his highschool team. Since then Keeran has become much more of a punk and less of a good-boy.

Keeran seems to take after his father, meaning he does not drink blood without permission. He also has a second personality/alter ego that is considered a monster, much like his father. Keeran, however, is much a depressed, lost soul.

Summary of History Jacob's father left his family at a very young age. Actually, Jacob only has one memory of him, and that is of him walking out the door. Jacob is the middle of three children, both his siblings being female. He graduated from college with a degree in philosophy and a degree in music. Which one is his major and which one is his minor are unknown.

Jacob met Keeran when Keeran was sixteen. The two have been close friends ever since; Jacob really likes the boy. C=

Three Personality Traits Happy, Loving, "Rebel"

Morning was breaking over the ocean, and the smell of wet cement came up through the open apartment window in which the two boys were sleeping. They had decided, despite having enough money to get a house, they would share an apartment and spend some time catching up since a two year absence.

The gray-haired boy was on the floor, having fallen off the couch during the night. He had slept through the fall, though his neighbors down below obviously had not. Currently, a raven-haired boy, in only boxer shorts, was walking to the door, on which their was banging. Apparently the noise had caused the older couple to think something was going on. As the woman and man were deeply religious, it either concerned them or they were going to give the two a lecture on etiquette.

Jacob, the black-haired boy, opened the door to stare drearily at the old man, who looked disgusted by the fact the boy was in only underwear. After a rather interesting conversation, mostly about how one should be dressed when greeting visitors, the old man departed, and Jacob walked in, yawning. He looked at the couch and laughed as his friend finally sat up.

"Good Morning Sleeping Beauty." This comment got him a pillow. Though he caught it, he pretended to be hurt. "Oh Kee-Kee, how could you be so mean? You could have broken my face if you wanted. You're so mean! So mean, you hear me, Kee-Kee?"

Keeran turned his brown eyes toward the other male and stood up scratching his outer thigh through his pajama pants. "What time is it?" The answer of 10 am surprised the male and he was instantly hurrying around. He took a five minute shower. When he came back out, he was trying to pull a pair of slacks on while brushing his teeth. Naturally, this was unsafe and he flopped on the floor.


After getting ready, and yelling at Jacob for five minutes, the vampire deserted the home and headed to his job, which payed just over minimum-wage, despite him working almost ten hours a day. It was something to help with the rent, however, and worth every moment if it meant he was too busy too worry about what could happen, and what had happened.
