Kevin got up and walked over and stood near her, leaning down and putting a hand on her cheek, "You know if anything is wrong, anything at all, you can tell me. Right?" he said looking into her eyes, "I care about you, Yukina." he said and kiss the cheek his hand wasn't on, gently.

Yukina gave him a soft smile."i know",she said holding the hand that was on her cheek gently."i just dont want you worrying about me all the time",she said softly then coughed aagain , this time a bit more violently and a bit of blood came out.

"Yukina...?" he asked when she coughed, he then saw the blood, "Yukina, what's wrong?"

Yukina sighed."i dont know",she said looing at him."i-its happened before dinner as well,only worse",She said looking down."i ... im sorry i didnt tell you , but i really really didnt want to make you worry , youve done so much for me, and already went threw so much, i didnt want to worry you"

Kevin smiled at her, trying to reassure her, even though he was hurt inside. He even managed a sincere laugh at her concern for him when she was the one coughing up blood. "Yukina, I'm going to worry about you either way... It's kind of my job, you know?" he smiled a little, "We need to get you checked out or something..." he said.

Yukina stare at him then hugged him tightly."im sorry",she said again."b-but wear ? this town thinks were escped looneticks ... and i rather not go to a hospital ... who know what kind of people are there"

Kevin hugged her back. He hadn't thought of that before. They were runaways; they wouldn't be accepted with open arms... They would probably send them back to the facility... Kevin shuddered at the thought. "We'll call Henry, he'll know what to do." he said, looking around for the phone. He pulled back from her embrace, "Hold on a second," he said and went into the kitchen, looking around.

He picked it up and next to it was Henry's number, well, the number to the front office, which was Henry. "Henry?" he asked when the man answered, "Do you know anything about medicine? .... It's not me, it's Yukina.... Yeah, could you come here? ...Alright, thanks. ...See you." he said and hung up. He walked back to Yukina, "Henry's going to come help us figure out what to do." he told her, sitting next to her on the bed and putting his arm around her. "He'll help us."

Yukina smiled ,and stayed close to him.She didnt know what was wrong,but it scared her.As she sat there her head began to hurt.She pulled away and back up from him and looked at her hands.Her claws regrew again."no",she whispered and stood up so she could move away from Kevin more."k-kevin , i have to go",she said in a shaken voice."if i dont i may hurt you and Henry,and i dont want that to happen"

He grabbed her, "No, you can't go out there. I want to be here for you." he said. He looked around, "Come on." he said, grabbing her wrist and pulling her towards the bathroom. He had to keep her out of site, where no one would be around... and where Kevin could try and help her.

Yukina shook her head but they were already in the bathroom."t-thier forceing me to turnagain",she said in a scared whisper."s-so they can find us", she said desperately."i dot want them to find you",she said as she was trying to go agenst,whatever little bug thing they put into h to fourse her to change.

"Yukina, fight it! You have to try!" he said to her, putting his hand on either side of her face and leaning his head against hers, "I'm not leaving you, we're in this together, but you have to try!"

Just then, Henry knocked on the door to the room. From the bathroom, Kevin yelled back, "Sorry, Henry! Now isn't good!"

Henry yelled back, "What's going on?"

"TRust me HEnry, just go away for awhile!" he asked, and Henry didn't reply.

Yukina heared Henry at the door then looked at Kevin.She felt pain rush threw her lik thy ha tred to turn up it power.But she growled and still fought aginst it.The more she fought the more it hurt.But that didnt matter becasue she knew she was protecting Kevin,Henry and anyone else that she may run into.Sudenly she felt a sharp pain,more like a zap,in her side then evryting went black as she sunk to the floor.

-----MeanWhile...else were in the city--------

A man in a lab coat swore."Damn it all!! the chip was destroyed!",he grolwed and got into a white van and headed back towards the lab."well get you two back yet",he muttered."just you wait"

Kevin grabbed Yukina as she began to fall and held her up in his arms. He picked her up and opened the door to the bathroom, bringing her back into the room and laid her in her bed. He sat next to her and brushed the hair from her face. She had fought so hard, and she had won... but what price was she going to have to pay for it?

After a while Yukina eyes shot opene and she loked around the room before looking at Kevin."d-did I transform?|

Kevin hadn't moved from her side, but he had been leaning back against the headboard with his eyes closed. His eyes shot open at the sound of her voice. He looked down at her and smiled, running a hand over her hair, "No, no you didn't. You held it off." he smiled down at her, "I'm so proud of you."

Yukina smiled at him with a soft but tierd smile."thats good",she said softly and sat herself up and looking at him again,she smiled more.

He pulled her into a hug and smiled, then kissed her atop the head, "What do you want to do know...?" he asked.

Yukina smiled somwhat':to stay like this',she said softly closeing her eyes again."what about Henry?"

He leaned back again, pulling Yukina against his chest, "I'll talk to Henry later, I'll explain it in the most sensitive way possible. He already knows what we are though, so I'm sure he'll understand..." Kevin said and leaned his head against hers, putting both arms around her.

Yukina smiled."im sorry",she said again."i should have told you earlyer about the blood",she said softly and opened her eyes."but its odd, i feel better now...maybe it was because they were forceing me to change....",she said with a small sigh.

He smiled a little, "No, don't worry about it... everything's okay now..." he said and kissed her forehead. "I'm sure being forced to change would cause a lot of stress on the body or something..." he said, sure that could be an explanation.

Yukina smiled."at least for now its over",she said softly.

He smiled and nodded, "Yeah, at least it's over." he said, but couldn't bring himself to repeat the 'for now'.

Yukina looked up at him and smiled hapily at him."so now that we have a 'home', what do we do?",she asked with a verry soft smile.

He looked at her, still smiling a little, "I'm not sure... The only home I've ever had was... that place. What do you think we should do?" He honestly had no idea what to do. There was so much freedom at once, he was at a loss.
