Yukina cringed and sighed."i will do what ever it takes not to die on you".she said softly."And you dont have to watch me in pain .. ",she said softly.And closed her eyes.

Kevin laugh a little, despite the situation, put his hand on the back of her neck gently and pulled her forward, kissing her forehead. "I couldn't leave you and you know it. I'll be there for you." he said.

Yukina smiled and stayed close to him."I love you .... your too good to me"

Kevin smiled a little, "I love you too..." he said.

Yukina smiled then closed her eyes and fell into a light sleep.Being in a very confertable at the moment.Plus sleep should do her some good...right?

When Yukina lay down and fall asleep, Kevin walked over to the river and looked into it. He decided it might be best to catch some food. Kevin took the things he had put in his pockets from the motel on a rock near Yukina, and shapeshifted into a bear- figuring as ironic as it was, it was the best animal for catching them. When he had caught enough for three for each of them, throwing them one by one onto the shore and hoping they wouldn't flop back into the water.

He crawled onto the shore and transformed back into a human. He took the things from the motel back in his pockets, keeping out one of knives he had found. So what if he was a klepto? It would probably keep them alive. He began de-boning and skinning the fish, so it would be ready to eat when Yukina woke up.

After about an hour or so,Yukina yawned and sat up.Sje rubbed her eyes and smiled."mm what smells so good",she said looking over at a camp fire and the fish that had been cooking.She smiled some and went over to Kevin sitting next to him."wow your a natural at cooking",she said giveing him a friendly smile.

Kevin smiled, looking up from his work, "Thank you. Hope you like trout, 'cause I think that's what this is..." he said, placing the fifth cooked fish on a big leaf, completing the three on the leaf and sliding it towards Yukina, "And you also have to use your hands." he smiled, starting the next and last fish for him.

Yukina smiled."no problem there",she said witing for him,not wanting to be rude.

It didn't takes it long to cook and he slapped his on his own plate-leaf. "The water in the river is safe to drink too, I think. Since it's running and it seems clean." he added, looking over at her briefly. He sat down, moving a bit farther away from the fire, and began picking at one of the fish had had cooked earlier and had cooled off a bit. "So, I figure from camping here, we're still headed in the right direction- southeast."

Yukina nodded."alright",she said takeing a bite of the fish."hmm this is great!your a good cook Kevin",she said smileing to him brightly."How long do you plan on camping here?"

Kevin chewed and swallowed the bite in his mouth then looked to her, "Do you feel like you're dying yet? Because until that passes, we can't move." he told her.

Yukina looked at him."no not yet ..... ",she saighed."i hope it comes soon that way it can be done and over with"

Kevin sighed as well. "I hope it comes and goes and you're still alive. I hope I can help you..." he said, putting the fish he had just picked up into his mouth slowly as he thought about what it had been like for him. Maybe it wouldn't be as bad for Yukina, he hoped. After all, he had only been about seven years old when they first made him do it. His body still hadn't grown or anything...

Yukina looked at him snd gently placed a hand on his sholder."if you can ... im shure you will"

Kevin nodded, "Of course I will." he said, looking up at her.

Yukina smiled and kissed his cheek."then try not to worry so much .. okay?",she said staying close tp him.

"Yeah," he said, "I'll try."

Yukina smiled."good",she said then took a bite of her fish smiling at him.

Kevin smiled at Yukina and then finished off his fish, surprised he had finished it after having eaten at the motel as well. He looked out at the water, now black from the lack of light The sun had gone down since Yukina had fallen asleep and the light from the fire was what they were going to have to rely on, now that what was left of the sunlight was fading. He looked up at the sky to see the twinkling stars beginning to dot it here and there. "Do you think they'll ever stop looking for us?" he asked, the question had been plaguing him for the longest time.

Yukina blinked looking at him.Then up at the sky as she swollowed."yeah ... somaeday ... there has to be something about us that they are after , besides our shape shifting abilities , and if we descover what that is , we may be able to stop them and become free"

Kevin laughed, "I'm the only living shapeshifter, and you were a work in progress. You were the first one they tried turning into a shapeshifter from a typical adult human. And I am the only successful experiment they have left. It's all about the shapeshifting."

Yukina looked to him."but i mean .. know that they did this to se how far they could o with science ,useing it on umnas ,and creationg,but there has to be something behind it",she said lookng into the fire."i .. i just have that feeling"

"Their motives are irrelevant, Yukina. The fact of the matter is they want us back is because I was successful and they need to figure out why so they can make more, and you're unfinished. There is no way we can stop them from chasing us until they grow tired of it. We just have to wait it out until they think we're dead or long gone. There must be a limit to their resources..." he said, looking at his lap. He was beginning to grow angry with the realization. All the two of them could do was run and hope they were never caught. It seemed like no matter what happened though, that they would always be living in t he fear of being recognized and recaptured.

Yukina looked at him and senceing his anger she frowned,ad went to touch his face , but gasp feeling utter pain go thre her.She held her cheast inpain she she cried out a little.
