After that burst of running, seeing Yukina was ready to collapse just as Kevin, he stopped beside her, resting against a tree. In between breaths he said, "I think... we need to... stop... for tonight." he looked around, "Do you think it'd be safer... if we transformed... into something common to the area?" he took a deep breath, "Sleep under cover, so to speak?"

Yukina felt relief when they stoppped ad sta down catching her breath then looked at him and nodded.y..yeah ...good plan ...but what? she asked looking around. "i have heard lots of howls and hoots ..." she said looking around.

"Hmm..." Kevin thought as he looked around, "Well, there's a small cave over there, and it looks uninhabited... we could transform into foxes or wolves or something and sleep in there..." He trailed, still looking for an alternative, but he didn't see much of one, "What do you think?" he asked, hoping for some feedback that would make them both comfortable.

Yukina bliked looking at the cave."wolf's sound good to me"she said and looked at him."what ever is easyer for you"

"I've been shapeshifting all my life, it's all easy for me." he laughed, "We'll do wolves then. We can both stay in the cave for warmth and such." He said, just before his body started to morph. In a matter of moments, Kevin had changed into a large red wolf. He nodded his muzzle toward the cave and began to walk into it. He was large enough to be fierce looking, but small enough to squeeze through the mouth of the cave. He looked around, sniffed at the air inside, then the floor and he looked back towards the entrance, "Another pack lived in here, but they've been gone for ages. They shouldn't be returning here, so I think we're safe." he told her.

Yukina smiled and also shifted into a grey and white wolf , with blue markings on her face. Following him she nodded at what he told her and smiled as they entered the cave. She looked around and then walked around in a small circle before laying down.She yawned softly beofre laying her head down. "thats good" She said closeing her eyes. "its so relaxing here"She said softly.

He smiled at her, "Yes, it is... Especially when you've been in a cage your whole life. It's nice not to have to run on a treadmille and smell fresh air." He laughed, "I can't wait to see what it's like to be one-hundred-percent free..." he mentally smiled. "So, how do you want to sleep, exactly?" he asked her, sort of shyly.

Yukinas ears twitched as she looked at him."uh .. side by side i guess .. it be warmer", she said and moved over,makeing room for her.

Kevin nodded, He moved deeper into the cave, away from the cool air that was blowing in from outside and he lay down and curled up into a ball, then moved his back legs out and looked at Yukina, to see where she was going, so he could move around where she wanted to be, "Get comfortable." he told her with a mental smile.

Yukina watched him then noddeing she got confertable , and staying close to him she laied her head down and closed her eyes. "night" ,she said softly and closeing her her eyes she muttered, "sweat dreams" , then was soon fast asleep.

He smiled a little, mentally, as he watched her move. It was nice to have company, someone to have to keep an eye out for other than himself again, like with James. He smiled again as she spoke to him. He curled up closer for the warmth and repsonded, "Night. Sweet dreams to you too." and he too, not long after, was asleep as well. He didn't think of a plan for the next morning like he probably should have, but rather let it go to be figured out in the daylight with a clear mind.

Yukina ,during the night had curled up into a ball against him.In a nice peacefull sleep.As the sun started to rise Yukina woke up paniced. She had a dream....no a vission of the men from the lab heading thier way .... they were close. Looking around she could here far off foot steps. Looking at Kevin and getiing up she niged him with her nose. "K-Kevin wake up! ...t-thier comeing!" she said in a whimper. When he didnt wake she pawed him. "now!"

It took Kevin a minute, but he woke up completely, realizing what she had said, he hopped up to his feet. "We have to go, come on! Don't transform, just run!" he said pushing her with his muzzle out of the cave.

Yukina blinked as he pushed her put of the cave and when she was sure he was still comeing she started running as fast as her legs could carrie her.

He stayed along side her, keeping pace, "We need to find somewhere to hide. Be on the look out!" he said to her. Then he heard the dogs barking behind them. "We might need to do a quick transform from this form." he said, "We might want to start flying. When we're out of sight of them, we transform. Anything that flies, got it? Do you think you can do it?" He didn't mean to be so bossy to her... he was just trying to make sure they lived for her to be able to yell at him for it later.

Yukina felt scarde after hearing the dogs and ran a bit faster.. Looking at him she nodded and when they were out of sight she concentratted and soon transformed into a blue bird and was now flying beside him.Waiting for Kevin to transform.

He waited for Yukina to transform, then turned into a crow. He flew ahead of her and higher to look around for enemies. If they stayed in trees, they'd be safe, for awhile. "Go into a different tree than me." he chirpped at her. If a blue jay and a crow were in the same tree, close to each other, it'd be suspicious.

Yukina nodded and soon found tree and flew into its branches and landed on one , trying to calm her self down. She was feeling strange. Like her energy or something was zapped. She watched as the men and thier hounds went by. She watched as they kept going east word.She waited for a bit longer ,then flew down to the ground,landing she transformed back to normaland colapsed.

He flew to the right of the path they were when they were flying together and landed on a high up branch with lots of leaves to hide in. He had an excellent cover, being black and high up, but he could still see everything going on. When they were out of sight and ear shot, he heard Yukina's wings flapping and came out of the tree as she went down towards the ground. She transformed, and he saw her collapse. Immediately, he transformed as well and landed on his human feet. He half picked her up, "Yukina! Can you hear me?"
He looked her over. It was exaughtion, most obviously. She was new to the whole shapeshifting deal, so it took her more energy than him, since he was used to it. He should have known and not pushed her so hard. It was going to be really difficult to be invisible if they couldn't be hidden as animals.

Yukina groaned and opened her eyes slightly."i .. Im okay",she said trying to sit up.

He helped her sit up, "Don't push yourself. I made you transform too often, too long. You weren't ready, I'm sorry..." he said in a soft voice. He felt really bad for having to push her. He was just trying to make sure that they lived to tell about it.

Yukina blinked looking at him. But smiled. "its okay you had good intentions" she said softly then started to get up.But didnt get that faar befor she started falling again.

Kevin sighed at what she said, and caught her as she fell, so she fell into his arms. He could feel himself blushing ever so slightly. He had never really been around a girl before. Unless she was sticking seven needles in him at once. He snapped back to reality, "We need to get into hiding. It won't be long before the dogs track us down. We also need to get rid of the scents on us so it's harder for them." he said, looking around. He could just barely hear running water in the distance; he couldn't see it, but he could hear it.

He sighed, "We need to find that water and a place to hide you while I find food." he looked at the distance and took a deep breath, "Be honest, can you walk at all, even if I'm holding onto you?" Kevin had no objections to carrying her, he just wanted to make sure she wouldn't be uncomfortable about it.

Yukina looked at him and nodded. Then blinked when he asked if she could walk with him holdiing her witch made her blush slighty. "i can try to,i-if not keep going ...okay?",she said useig the tree for suport to get herself up and to steady herself.

He took her around her waist and helped her up, "I will not leave you. I can carry you, if I have to. If you need me to, then let me know." he smiled, "Let's go." he said, waiting for her to begin walking so he could follow her pace.
