Nick walked into the forest deeper and idally wanderd. he couldn't help it he was bored. REALLY bored. so he walked. he was sure the other three could find him when they where darn well ready to.
Shin blinked at the question. She had never thought about it "It feels like... Belonging, I suppose. Having something that you know you have to do as your ancestors have before you... hard to explain, it just... is."
she nodded ahd looked up at shin "does it feel nice..?" when she asked this she hoped no one would notice that Kai has never met anyone else who is a werecat or anyone who holds her appearence, just her and other normal people whether their ears were pointed or skin a different color she still considered them to be.. normal.
Shin blinked "I guess... that's sort of like asking you what it feels like to have a tail. It's just something that's so much a part of you, you never realize what it feels like, only it's loss."
she nodded then sighed feeling odd for asking these questions, when she came up with another "how long have your people lived in this forest? It's very nice.. calming.. i know there are many spirits roaming here because.. well.. this forest is very old"
Shin chuckled "We have been in this forest for as long as it has been around. Many thousands of years ago, my people were born from the first forest, and since then, we have been a part of them." Shin's face fell "But in the last few hundred years as humans expand... the forests are dying. My people are dying. Some day, someday soon, if it is not stopped, we will die." Shin sighed and sat down "It is entirely possible that I will not live to die a natural death."
"I hope you will" she smiled then scratched behind one of her ears "is there anything i can do to help your forest? to ensure this section of the forest isnt destroyed?" when she spoke there was a certain type of concern that made someone hug another for comfort.
Shin nodded "Thank you, that is all I ever asked. If what you've said is true, all that is required is for you to remain. If you are willing we can travel to a truly ancient forest, one of the ones that is dying from the inside."
"i'm sure my brother will be willing to help me with keeping your forests alive Shin, i dont want to see any kind person like you die because of the ignorance of people blind to their surroundings.."
she nodded "i know.. i'll discuss this with him later" she turned to him again and hugged him with a tight, longing type of hug. The one of a younger sister, of one who wont let any harm come to family.
"it is unfortunate though to know that people could care less what happens to a forest and what is inhabiting it.."
Hogarth shifted, leaning against a tree thought he was being sneaky by staying quite, caught off guard by Kai's question he stammered, trying to think up a reason not to help, for the most part he is new to the forest, and all its gotten him into is lost, unaware his father's kingdom has fallen since the time travel. his lips opened as if wanting to say no but he looked at Kai, thinking of his sister, he almost smiled, sighing. "I guess I cant let you get hurt." Hogarth said, resting his head against a rock as though trying not to show he cared.
He looked at the flower, slowly reaching up for it, he took it from her hand, closing his eyes, He tried to show no emotion, growing up he was raised like that, but the truth was he was felt happy, for a long time nothing was able to make him feel like this. "Silly flowers and grass, wont be enough to stop humans though, they are growing not only in numbers but in groups, for every one person you'll kill or threaten ten will show up." Hogarth said, looking at them with a serious look, knowing they had better have a plan before swinging vines and blades to humans destroying the forest. "How do you expect to beat them when we just have the five of us." Hogarth said, closing his eyes slowly.
"And what kinda persuasion, are you tending to use on humans?" Hogarth asked, looking at Kai. "Don't get me wrong, I want to keep you safe, and thats why I'm making you think of a plan." Hogarth said, looking at Nick, knowing he would probably be the first in charge of the small group, and would already have thought of a plan.
"if i cant talk them away from using these forests, then i'll.." she bit her lower lip holding out her hands showing him how they took on an electric charge
Hogarth blinked at the hand, slowly sliding his hand into hers, looking up at her a bit confused. "What does hand shaking have to do with anything?" Hogarth asked, looking around a bit confused, the hand not supplying the shock, since she had not charged it up yet.
"it's not that, i can electrocute someone without killing them" she giggled "like a passive lightening strike" she blushed a light shade of pink before staring down into his eyes "i can also freeze them in time, or i can erase their memory of what they were doing"
