kai nodded and looked around the forest feeling a new prescence, she shivered once before struggling to hide her ears and tail, but this wasnt enough, her hands only twitched arms refusing to move "Shin.. i-i feel someone approaching" she cried her body going rigid.

kai was still slightly blind from the transaction of Hogarth's which included taking a bit of his soul back, hair hung over her face while she examined her body.

"Thanks, but I don't know what the problem is. I just woke up here and couldn't feel my legs."

Shin offered him the rest of the potion "Drink, it should help. For now sit down and tell us about yourself. Sho are you, where are you from?"

kai looked around blinking her eyes before they unexpectedly snapped shut she finally saw who was talking, where he was and that shin was talking with him too.

"Well my name is Satoshi, I don't really remember where I was born, I grew up with a group of bandit's."

Shin sighed and shook her head "Wonderful. What's the most cutting edge technology you remember? It may not sound signifigant, but you may have just traveled through time so we need to be sure."

"Traveled through time, what are you talking about?"

kai curled herself in a ball feeling slightly strange "you could have been from a feudal era" she looked over at him then smile "Satoshi isnt exactly a modern name"

"Well if you put it like that, then I guess I'm from feudal Japan."

Shin sighed, "Answer the question and I'll tell you if it's an issue. Like, who did the bandits steal from and what weapons were in use?"

kai giggled time travelers were attracted to this area far more then they should have been, as it stands right now Shin and Kai were the only ones from the modern times, and she enjoyed that.

Holding up his Katana
"This is what we used and we just pillaged small villages. We were a small gang of bandits, we didn't want to risk losing anyone so we didn't go after people directly linked to the Emporer."

"Feudal Japan." Shin sighed "Well, welcome to hundred of years in the future and halfway across the world." She stood and brushed herself off "There have been a lot of temporal anomalies lately, but we'll help you when we can."

"you're from feudal japan" she exclaimed jumping to her feet "so cool!" that's when kai lost her balance and fell back deciding not to move she let out a soft yawn and settled against the grass

"Thank you, so what are you guys doing in the middle of a forest?"

"shin lives here and i'm staying here because" she stopped to think "i dont have a home" she giggled again scratching behind of one her feline ears.

"I hope you don't mind me asking, but what are you?"

Shin nodded "Yes, and most of the others, like you, are displaced in some way." Shin sighed and rubbed her head before reaching for the bowl of food and handing it to him "I think I missed your name if you said it."

Taking the bowl
"Thank you, and my name is Satoshi."

"i'm a werecat" she opened her cloudy eyes struggling to look at him, but when she did, her expression shifted from curiousity to fright.

Noticing the shift in her mood
"What?"

Shin laid a hand on Kai's side "Easy Kai, if he does anything I'll use a tree and fling him several miles away." She looked back up to Satoshi with a nod "And I am the Dryad that protects these woods."

"Why did she get so scared all of a sudden?"

"Humans and were's don't mix well. There's usually a lot of misconception and hate on the part of the humans, and retailiations on the part of the were's"

"Well I've never seen or fought a were before. I also have no intention on fighting one. So is it ok if I tag along in your guys' travels for a while?"
